I love the sunsets and sunrises, but stars are what I missed most about rural Arizona, and back east rain is nothing compared to desert rain..ahhh!

Yep, yep...I live in that bump in the road that everyone has driven thru a million times on their way to Sin City. I've lived in Phoenix, Flagstaff, Vegas, San Francisco, Dallas, Atlanta, and Nashville as well...so I'm not a complete "deer in the headlights".

Kingman, AZ.... isn't there some kind of special church there? My mom is a devout Catholic and we was gonna stop by there on our way back from Sin City, but we ended staying a little longer, kicking it with our relatives up there.

Raquel, you are right about the stars, there are so many and sometimes a little too overwhelming for me, since I have an overactive mind and imagination.

How many of you have rocks for a lawn? I mean, it's weird when ya have to rake them into place instead of mowing it.... lol! I swear, only in AZ....

Special church? Hmm...the old Catholic church is on the historic register, tiny and cool...maybe you are talking about the old Methodist church where Clark Gable and Carole Lombard married.

Heh, I like to show visitors from back east the rock lawns, and swamp coolers..haha...myself, I generally garden like crazy in the warm months--no gravel here!

Hey, I love my rock lawn! Being an Eastern girl, the rock lawn is awesome to care for....like I don't have to! Which makes me wonder why in the hell anyone would want a grass lawn in the desert?! It just adds humidity... <g>

It's good to see there are more people from Arizona so willing to chat, Lit was dry (pun intended) of Arizonans for so long. It would be great to set up a date to meet at Cave Creek, just need to know where that's at.

As far as rock yards yea, I have a rock front yard, but my small back yard is all grass and looking great I might add.

Book is called "Black Coffee Blues" Really liked that book, I like to read your journal too, its good stuff. Ill keep checking in on it if you keep on posting them
