When the leader of the offending party, and the namesake of it's failed signature legislation, is being rejected across the board, and humiliated in public both here and abroad. When the majority of Americans are pissed off and rejecting the unwanted legislation, and not voting for its proponents. When its creators are so ashamed of it failure they don't even want to run on it's alleged accomplishments. That's when.

OF course not. Obamacare is ultimately too good to that with. They'll probably make sure the press starts calling it the ACA or something else though. I'm not going to pretend we're as informed as we ought be but in fairness part of that is that we have democracy overload and shit that we have no business voting on we vote for and as a result we have less time to focus on the things we should be. It's clever.

Except that the SCOTUS, in words of Justice Roberts, said in it's decision on the case that there is no enforcement mechanism in the law for extracting that penalty. So all that's left to the Obama administration is the IRS keeping your refund as a payment towards the alleged penalty, or the lawless President writing his own law, if he does, that will eventually be tested in yet another series of court hearings, all the way to the SCOTUS.

I've already told you, the economics of Obamacare are unsustainable, so the government can promise all it wants, but it eventually collapses of it's own weight, because the Democrat plan structure is fatally flawed.

Of course Obamacare, as it exists, is fatally flawed. Nobody on this board understands that better than I do, and I doubt anyone has expressed that sentiment more often than I have.

Pretty much all the way down the scale, far below the median all the way down until you reach people incapable of understanding the concept of intelligence nearly all report that they are at a minimum, "slightly above average in intelligence."

Only the very bright underestimate their scores, but usually they already have run into testing that tells them what quartile their IQ falls within.

The problem is, administration apologists have this fantasy that against human nature, math and common sense that it is not fatally flawed. The skip right over "fatally" and think that it has all these goodies and there is someway those goodies will not be paid for with someone's pain, and that the entire scheme can exist in perpetuity without massive infusions of cash.

You make the same mistake about social security because you have come to think of it as something that 'ought" to be there, so there has to be a way to make a fatally flawed scheme work.

Obamacare can work, if you keep raising the subsidies to ridiculous levels so that the insurance policies that backstop it can payout more generously.

I agree with most of what you've written, especially the first part, but I think Social Security can easily be fixed, unlike Obamacare. I've outlined the two easiest fixes previously on this board.
