ATL May Litogether

SweetGigi said:
yeah Atlanta thought covering the city in bradford pear trees would be a great idea. Unfortunately, they smell like semen when they bloom. It makes the whole city smell like a whore house for a few months.

Great! We have those here on campus and oh my does it smell. (Is glad I don't live on campus this year so I don't have to deal with the smell and the messing with my sinuses as bad. )

I have my tickets!!!

I'm real excited about this trip!! Can't wait to meet you all.

Finally having the tickets makes it all feel reeeeeal. LOL

;-D

Gotta go to sleep now so I make it to that tummy tuck appointment... or actually, make it to work tonight.

OK, last time I glanced at this thread there was an itinerary and a hotel, but I can't find either now.

Can anybody give me a quick update?

Here is the itinerary.

Here is the info about Saturday night.

And the best place to look for hotels is in the Midtown Atlanta area. The zip codes are 30306, 30307, 30308 and 30309. If you need any sort of recommendations, please let me know. Will you be bringing the sub along, Marquis?

tentative schedule

Alright, cats and kitties.

How's this sound?

May 2nd- Depending on when everyone arrives, we will meet around 8ish at The Highlander (http://www.thehighlanderatlanta.com/) for casual drinks, dinner, meet and greet & conversation There is a great game room and a open patio, both of which are condusive to meeting up with no formality.

May 3rd- I know Geoff and Janey will be busy during the day, and I will more than likely be acting as tour guide, lets leave the day time up to the individual. If we want to gather together during the day, lets leave that up to figuring out Friday night once we've had a chance to meet each other.

Since the clubs seem to be less condusive to meet-n-greet situations, I thought it might be nice to all meet together some where, again, and have a really nice sit down dinner. Casual to Sunday dress at a location later to be determined around 8:30 or so, then afterwards possibly meet back at my house demo, roping, etc (depending on where I live at the time and what sort of set up it is) or meet up at a place called Spring4thCenter. Each Saturday night they cater to the Fetish crowds with a late night after-parties and plenty of 'room to play' so I've heard. I will definately check into it more as the time grows closer. Any suggestions would be greatly appriecated.

May 4th- Recovery brunch at American RoadHouse. Probably closer to 1 or 2 depending on when people are needing to departe and how many people are still around.

How does all this sound to everyone? Of course this is all tentative and free for change. Please put your two cents in the coffers to the left and let me know what you think. Thanks for your patience. :)

yes yes, FF, it would be a pleasure to meet you.

From where would you be coming? Are you in GA?

Would be flying from PA but K is in SC so if he is able to swing a day or two in there I could combine seeing him and meeting everyone. Plus I've never seen rope bondage or anything along those lines so I'm curious  I may need to beg a bit of floor in one of your hotel rooms...perhaps I could split the expense with someone?? Promise I don't take up much space and I'll only snore a little *cheeky grin* My coming will depend a bit on K but I'm leaning towards booking tix.

woops for reposting same info...sry SG *sheepish* how do you do the link thingy?...and I'm still trying to figure out multiple quotes...is there a lit posters instruction manual somewhere?

Both, actually.

I could've sworn I saw you posted something about some cool historical hotel that was 129 a night?

Whoa - Marquis and the gals in the house? Man, I wanna come! I cannot skip out on Mother's Day though, sadly.

Yes, here is the post on that.

Also, I've been thinking about Saturday evening. I am with ADR and several others- I am not into public play, but I would really hate for us to miss out on an opportunity to meet and hang out in a comfortable private setting. Geoff is right, my house is/will be too small to accommodate any sort of play or even a party. So my solution is this. There is an amazing FABULOUS hotel in midtown Atlanta called the Georgian Terrace that has two and three bedroom suites for EXTREMELY reasonable rates. I also know a guy who works for Travelocity (fellow kinkster) who might be able to help me get a deal. (He owes me) I'll post a discription of the room-style below.

So what would everyone think about a getting a room like this for Saturday night instead of going to a public club? With the suite having multiple rooms, and being a private setting, I think I would be more comfortable; not that I would play in any case. Those who want to play, can, and those who don't want to participate can still interact in a casual, comfortable private setting with the people they've traveled all that away to see. What does everyone else think?

Room Description: The Two-Bedroom Suite measures an average of 1,300 square feet of living space. The spacious and elegantly appointed two-bedroom suites feature two separate private bedrooms, one or two separate bathrooms, a living/dining area. Antique-style furnishings include a glass-top table, an armoire entertainment cabinet with cable television, comfortable full-size sofa, chair and ottoman and coffee table. The two private bedrooms feature a queen size bed in each bedroom with matching armoire-dresser, cable television and a clock radio. The two-bedroom suite also includes large closets, a washer/dryer, full-size ironing board with steam iron and comfortably large bathroom with a hair dryer and other luxurious amenities. Many of these suites have sliding glass doors with balconies. Each two-bedroom suite is individually climate-controlled and has large windows that can be opened.

Ok, got the date. Well, May is a tough month (lots of travel, and I never travel!), but I might be able to switch things around. Maybe. I have wanted to visit Atlanta, so it could be fun.

But I need to check with Mister Man too.

Are people actually staying/meeting there?

Meeting there? Yes, if Sweet Gigi gets the suite through a friend.

Staying there? Not as far as I know. So far no one has confided their actual hotel choice as far as I know. It's something I would like to know. Since I would like to be in proximity to others of my ilk. LOL.

As of Saturday night and the Georgian Terrace, the suite will be for playtime events. We will all go out before hand for dinner and drinks (to loosen up) and then come back to the room for fun and merriment. There will be two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room and a kitchen. The bedrooms will be reserved for play activities (possibly one for events and one for cool down or both for play and cool down in the living room; that is all still up for discussion) and the common areas will be the light, casual non-play areas.

Everyone is more than welcome to stay at the Georgian Terrace, however the rooms are very expensive. ($109-139 a night) If everyone would like I can recommend a Midtown hotel. Everyone just has to let me know what your budgets are, so I can find the best location. How much is everybody willing/able to spend on their hotel rooms?

$60 - 80/night range is do-able for me, cheaper is better.

I consider Motel 6 as roughing it. Red Roofs, Microtels and Travelodges are typical, Fairfields, Courtyards and Hampton Inns are great with a coupon. Quality Inns are okay in a pinch.

I will not stay at another Master's Inn, sorry, but I've given them 3 tries and they were Roach Motels all three times. :p

I'd consider sharing a more expensive double room or suite with someone if the split room cost is in my price range. :D

Sounds good. What say everyone else?

I'm easy. I go with the flow.

I just wanna be with my fellow literoticans.
