On a random Ghostbusters note, it took years until my young mind caught onto what Louis and Dana were doing after being possessed. I blame it partly on how nobody seemed to be bothered by this or even address it in the final cut of the film.

Of course, it wasn't long after that I made the connection of the Gatekeeper's 'gate' apparently being its vagina while the Keymasters 'key' was actually its penis.

....My mind works in weird ways.

But I'm glad you like Ryota so much, as I've grown particularly fond of him and Xia myself. *grins*

Longshot as well, though he's probably the hardest person for me to write at the moment. Which is part of why I'm keeping quiet with him for now, since outside of Smellerbee and (to an extent) Ryota, it's rather difficult to imagine him interacting casually with the majority of characters in this thread. Maybe with someone such as Iroh or Aang, I could see it happening.

On the other hand, I don't imagine there being many 'conversations' between himself and Toph. At least not while communicating through his regular method of expressions and hand signals. Would be funny as hell to watch, but certainly not effective.

Oddly enough, Possessed Dana was probably the only time I really found Sigourney Weaver sexy. At least until she went blonde sci-fi bombshell for Galaxy Quest.

Again, if she can read a person's vitals to tell if they're lying, she's likely cognizant of a vast array of microexpressions that would elude mere visual perception. But that's just my "read" on it, and I've been known to be Way Off-Base in the past.

And while I admit she was one bad ass chica with a nice figure in the Alien films, I think it was always her hair which turned me off to her in them. Going bald in the third one didn't exactly help her case either.

Hmm and fair point about Toph. She'd at least get the hand gestures right, based on how she fired herself, Sokka and Suki toward a Fire Nation ship just by having someone point a finger in its direction. I'm not sure about the expressions, but she likely would pick up how he was feeling during emotional moments. Still, a near mute guy communicating with a technically blind girl. If Smellershot weren't all but set in stone, there'd be potential there. heh

And I almost feel guilty for finding amusement in how many posts it took a certain poster before they caught onto how his character wouldn't fit into the thread.

Funny enough, I've actually been trying to approach Longshot sorta like the Avatar universes version of Silent Bob. Only without the Star Wars and other pop culture references mixed into his sparse comments. But at least Smellerbee and Toph are a lot cuter then Jason Mewes. Less stoned, too.
