Avatar: Lightning strikes (OOC)

Hey! I was hugging Chas first. Go get hugs from either Lily or Unseen.

Well, Lily, since every time I've offered virtual hugs to Unseen she's either rolled her eyes, accused me of molestation (pshaw!) or virtual stabbed me.

Hugging is a dangerous hobby.

:: sage wisdom! ::

But I could conceivably consider being virtual-stabbed by UM something of an honour. That would be like being decapitated by Spock's lirpa.

>_> so I'm just NOT a cuddly type of gal.... I have my reasons

and I don't know about my stabbing people being an honor... it's relatively easy to annoy me into violence once you figure out how to do it (my brothers do this ALL the time...they think it's funny)

or you do unintentionally through sheer amazing feats of stupidity like some people in the srp forum I could name

I like cuddles.

I would give my left kidney and half my liver for a good cuddle.

But I also realise that it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round and if someone's overmuch hassling you for a hug you don't wanna give, UM, I'll stab 'em for you. Or, I dunno, hold 'em down so you can stab 'em.

Unless it's Eazy or Ahren or Lunar or one or other of my buddies, I'd probably take the stabbing for them so they could make a break for it. Because I'd get to die honourably, see, and they'd get to live...

I don't think so much that it's an honour because it's rare ( XD ) so much as it's an honour because you'd be such an artista about it. Like getting run through by Inigo Montoya or something. Sure, he's sworded a lot of folk, but he's done so beautifully every time. Like making a stained-glass window, to borrow a simile from Westley.

Under those circumstances, one might stroll up to The Pearly Gates and have Saint Peter go, "So, Mattie, what brings you here?"

And I'd go: "Got stabbed by UnseenMaiden."

And Pete would go: "Nice!"

And we would fist-bump.

(And then I would go hang with Zauriel or something.)

XD

omg getting killed in a sword fight with Inigo Montayo would be pure awesome... best death ever *squees* ... especially if I lasted longer than five minutes

I'd be all 'Dude! I lasted a whole five minutes and one second with Inigo Montayo before he ran me through! My life was complete!'

.. and then I'd go hang out with Antoine de Saint Exupéry

Man. Getting killed by a Princess Bride character and then chilling with the guy what wrote The Little Prince in the afterlife...

(Kind of got a royal theme going there.)

But still, geeze, that would be the coolest.

oh yes Monsieur Antoine is my personal hero

we could play pretend together ^_^ and it would be awesome

I've <3'd Little Prince for years. I totally empathise.

(And, I'm not mocking, I'm just commenting, bear with me:

You could also play Super Mario Galaxy together.

Which would be so meta I think my brain might explode just thinking about it.)

I'm predictable and unoriginal. My preferred method of dying would be death by schnoo schnoo.

Only instead of it being a bunch of Matt Groening styled amazon women, it'd be by the repeated motions of superpowered animated and comic book women like Android 18 and Caitlin Fairchild.

And probably a select few RP characters, if I had my way. *smirks*

...mmmm... Caitlin Fairchild...

I've never played Super Mario Galaxy... I am however in love with Super Mario 64 and have been since i first played it when I was ten.

Other games I wish I owned are:

American McGee's Alice
Rule of Rose
Kingdom Hearts I, II, and Chain of Memories
Portal
de Blob

..granted not a great many but still pure awesome in my book

*Quick dramatic turn. Eyebrow arches. Strokes chin.*

I heard...

*A sudden breeze ruffles hair breathtakingly.*

...that there were hugs going around.

*Striking glance.*

...
Well, now I'm pissed.
(Not because of you, Soru.)

I'm trying to hook up my webcam, and the driver I downloaded refuses to work.
Found the disc. Tried that.
Damn thing got stuck in my Mini.

*Grabs Chas*

BtW, I'm not done with her yet.
We still got dirty things to work on.

(yeah, yeah; I should be posting. Getting to it, I swear.)

"Growing up, we were taught that the Fire Nation was the greatest civilization in history and somehow, the war was our way of sharing our greatness with the rest of the world. What an amazing lie that was." - Prince Zuko, The Day of The Black Sun, Part 2: The Eclipse

Name: Kazuo
Age: 20
Appearance: http://fc83.deviantart.com/fs38/f/2008/325/4/0/original_simple_hero_2_by_enjoyamau.jpg
Home Land: The Fire Nation

Abilities: Firebending, hand-to-hand expert

Bio: Born to a proud family with a long tradition of service to the Fire Nation, Kazuo was raised like many others to display great pride in their nation and its numerous accomplishments. This of course included but by no means limited itself to a deep seeded faith in the great war which started during the reign of Fire Lord Sozin and continued for many generations. There were, at times, private debates among his family and peers about the means which then present Fire Lord Ozai and those which proceeded him took to carry out the intended ends. Save for a few rare occasions, however, Kazuo's faith in his nations cause was unwavering.

Regardless of any hiccups along the way, it was always his intention, his dream to eventually join with the Fire Nation military and work his way up the ranks. Countless hours were spent either training under a rotating number of assigned Firebender masters and in private to overcome any shortcomings in his then fledgling technique. He also learned how to become rather adept at basic hand-to-hand combat, which he both incorporated into his Firebending and knew to count on so as to keep from growing dependent on bending itself. By the time he reached his early teens, Kazuo was already a near master as he excelled above many others whom were near or even above his age.

When the war ended, Kazuo was amongst the countless Fire Nation citizens which were left confused and conflicted about the sudden change in hierarchy. A staunch believer in the war and what it supposedly represented, it was perhaps his parents decision to support the new Fire Lord which left him the most bewildered about the situation. As his father explained, change is an inevitable part of any nations growing legacy, and while conflicted himself, their service and loyalty was forever to the Fire Nation. On the other side of the argument, there was Kazuo, a young man who believed the events which led to the end of the war to be an act of treason and betrayal by the formerly banished Prince.

Feeling out of place in his own home and, indeed, within the very nation which he grew up in; Kazuo left with little more then a note for his parents. The next couple of years were spent traveling from one village to another, living off odd jobs while always working on his bending techniques whenever possible. Over time, his alienation and sense of betrayal gave way to bitterness, which grew into a decisive source of anger as he witnessed much of the nation gradually accepting their current Fire Lord and their new, almost apologetic place in the world. In his eyes, the Avatar and Zuko had simply turned the Fire Nation into a shadow of its former glory; if that.

Eventually, the young Firebender came into contact with a fledgling underground movement by other citizens and former military of the Fire Nation which held similar beliefs to his own. Though unorganized and scattered at the time, he played a vital role in helping to turn this group of rebels into a more coherent faction which operates primarily within an industrial city which, on the outside, appears like many others within the infamous Nation. In a way, they're much like the Freedom Fighters of the Earth Kingdom, only with a more direct goal which includes collecting information through various means. While a far cry from The White Lotus Society, their influence reaches far enough to have a small number of spies remaining within the Fire Nation military and a loose connection to a handful of former Dai Li agents.

Remaining true to his convictions and the spirit of his lifelong ambitions, he's steadily worked his way up the chain of command since joining the rebellion. While there isn't a single ruling head of the fledgling faction, they do make important decisions by popular vote of a select few; of which he's often one of, if not the most, outspoken voices to be heard amongst these men. Considering his youth and lack of formal military experience, it is quite an accomplishment, even for a rebel group such as their own. He's also usually amongst the first to step forward when needed for missions of reconnaissance or anything else; making him perhaps the most respected of those elite in charge of leading their rebellion. But above everything else, Kazuo finally has a purpose in life which matches his personal philosophy, and he's determined to see it through to the end.

so I was just surfing on Avatar wiki..cause I like to make sure I have things straight and learn new stuff.. so on and so forth (and because I have the sneaking suspiscion that one of Ty Lee's ancestors was NOT of the Fire Nation and was checking genetic traits)

and I found this

So she may very well be Xia's great-grandmother.

I'm giddy with this sudden thought.. had to share XD.... now to continue checking if Ty Lee(and her identical sisters) really are the only fire nation citizens with gray eyes

...ooooh.

I hadn't considered a secret genetic link. I shall have to ponder this!

Agh, d'oh.

I was gonna use the time in which Kurzen's back was turned to scrub up Toph a little bit...

D'agh. That's okay.

My fault for being slow off the mark, I guess. X)

*pats Chas' head and nods* It happens to the best of us. It's worst when you nearly have a post completed and then somebody sneaks a response in right as you're getting ready to settle on what you have written. Bleh.

On a crack related note, I heard this song for the first time in a while and it made me think of Zhuang, Ryota and Xia. In a totally off the wall not to be taken in any literal sense kind of way, at least.

Of course, I don't intend to perpetuate any slanderous claims about Zhuang enjoying Julia Roberts movies, so my apologies to him in advance.

Zhuang thinks "Mystic Pizza" was Vincent D'onofrio's finest performance, and that "Erin Brockovich" was a documentary.

He's never heard of "Pretty Woman."

I'm not sure why. It wouldn't really change his opinion of her at all. He already thinks she's attractive and who can really blame anyone for being a bit messy after the day they've had?

Toph seemed to want Katara to do this?

O.O

...that's all.

Look it a background char ... oooh ...ahhh lol

Name: Tatsuo Koizumi
Age: 26
Abilities: Firebending and metal sculpting

Bio: He is the only son of the late General Koizumi. His family always had high hopes that he would be an honorable Fire Nation citizen and serve well his Fire Lord, rising high and quickly through the military ranks. Unfortunately, it turned out that fighting for a cause he didn’t believe in, ‘honorable’ or not, wasn’t for him. Once the war was over and peace was restored to the four nations, he quit the life of a soldier after only two years of service.

He does, however, seem to have a good head for business, while maintaining friendly relations with his competitors, and has kept his mother well cared for with a fleet of merchant ships. However, it was a distinct surprise to him when his mother informed him of his engagement to one of the Yuen daughters moments before the engagement meeting was to take place. At which time, his nerves got the better of him and he called his newly betrothed by the wrong name. It only went downhill from there.

Now, it’s been about two years since he’s seen Ty Lee. He keeps close tabs on her out of a sense of duty, but has never personally pursued her to Kyoshi Island.

Personality: Tatsuo is a nice man. Not half as talkative as Ty Lee can be, but is almost always in a good mood. He takes pride in being a good, obedient son and hopes to always bring honor to his family name.

My guy's hotter*. And he doesn't look like he's striking a pose for an online personals page.

*apologies for the unintended pun used when comparing the smex factor of respective Fire Nation citizens.
