The most recent chapters of Naruto have actually been pretty decent. Bleach, on the other hand, just gets progressively worse.

I haven't seen a lot of Naruto? But it strikes me that saying he's a lot less hyperactive and annoying is like saying I'm a lot less whiny and neurotic than I have been...

...it's still bad enough to make grown men and sane women want to chew their own heads off at the neck.

Well... it's considerably less. I dunno. I just think Naruto gets a lot of crap for being annoying when over the whole course of the series, his annoying moments are actually pretty few, and in Shippuden almost nonexistent.

Besides it's all about Shikamaru anyways.

Bleach seemed pretty cool. Of course, I've only ever seen that stuff in AMVs on YouTube. (There was a pretty good one for Skillet's "Whispers in The Dark" I saw once and never found again, and one of Frou Frou's cover of "Holding Out For a Hero.")

Runs fast? That doesn't specifically pertain to anyone really. My guess would be Rock Lee as one of the most popular moments is his fight with Gaara where he zooms the fuck all over the place.

I read a manga once, because it's really the voices that bug me, and Rock Lee punched a bad guy through a stone wall. Just... BOOM. Done.

Personally, I enjoy Naruto a lot more when it's not focusing so heavily on Sasuke. The guy's an interesting character, make no mistake, but one does get sick of following him around after a while.

Besides, the more chapters which focus around the hidden leaf village, the more likely we are to see Shikamaru.

As for Bleach....well, I continue holding onto the idea that Bleach is a great idea with questionable execution, at best.

Heh, I love the scenes that image is taken from. Shikamaru's laid back attitude often played off great against Naruto's 'hell yeah, let's go!' approach to everything.

Also? The opening which many consider the best of Shippuden opening thus far. Is it because of the song, the editing or the heavy amount of Shikamaru? You be the judge.

Although I remember the writers seemed to slip up once on the whole blind thing during season 3, since there was a part where she comments on Aang not having his headband on while they were swimming. Granted, it was a shallow portion which he could also stand in, but that's still some hella impressive earth vibration vision.

And, yes, it's sad that I can remember this stuff.
