Nick, very boring and unimaginative, pop was my nickname at school a few years, ahem, ago, and I was 54 when I first registered with Literotica.

The Avatar, yes it's me, but I don't always go about with a bird on my shoulder or for that matter an eyepatch, due for a change there though, must look out one of my others.

for grins, i picked a name that started with 'b'... it makes me laugh. i was amused to see how long it took people to pick up on it.

bridget means strong.

i think the name reflects my sassiness.

the rose is sexual, yet refined and is another one of my names.'

i have tried other AV's, but none has suited me better.

H.S. Spanish is better than none, Robertito. It should really be Perdida, perhaps Perdidita; we would make it a diminutive and leave out the extra proper syllable though (unlike the Russians whose diminutives are anything but). I'm simply using the inglés version.

Nicknames and Avatars

This is a fun thread. Of course, at my current pace of .0018 posts per day, I won't have to deal with the issue for a while.

It surprises me how many of the ladies have to take the Internet's hordes of 15 year old boys into consideration when they select a name and/or pic. Like Killer Muffin, who chose a tame moniker AND usually manages to have the words husband, faithful, monogamous, devoted-means-I-ain't-gonna-do-you-bliss in her little profile. It is a little sad that the women have to put up with that. I don't really feel sorry for the fellows, even those who have to put their offensive cocks away. In my day, we knew we had to say, "Tell me now if you don't want to see my penis" before we whipped it out. It was part of the gentleman's code of honor.

These kids today, with their internet and their marijuana cigarettes, listening to all that insolent hop-hip music. In my day, we spent our late nights watching scrambled porn channels on cable TV and debating who was the hottest girl in band, not smoking reefer and bothering some erotic lady writer online. Our sexual harassment was limited to showing hot elvish chicks (they had 18 charisma, of course) our +2 broadswords and bags of holding.

Ah, for a simpler time.

As far as I and lots of other mixtecs (pr. meeshTECKs) the X comes from the indigenous peoples and is pronounced 'sh'. It got turned into X or CH by the conquistodores.

So w/o making me look it up in my Aztec/Mayan gods directory, tell me how you picked your moniker.

This is as good a thread as any to post this. I was recently inspired to name my clilt 'Perdita' (the little lost girl in the boat; plus Sh're's Perdita was abandoned on a beach).
