Aventures on Darmus

Vixen...

"What do we do now?" Muffin whispered urgently to Vixen.

Vixen looked up just as Cervantes came to her side.

Immediately she had him by the ear... the human equivalent of the scruff of the neck.

"I am SOOOO going to have to talk to you about your libido.." she hissed at him menacingly.

She turned to Muffin... "all I know is... that our quiet entrance is kind of... well... not possible... and running is out of the question.." she smiled at the girl and then looked at Muffin's horse and almost laughed.

"So Cervantes... did you managed to get Lord Malvort to order all of our deaths... or just your own?" She asks, her voice especially hard again, a voice especially used for him it seemed lately.

Cervantes:

Cervantes gave no hint of rebellion against Vixen's words, he simply hunkered down with a nearly inaudible mewl. His hand's touched pleadingly, lightly along Vixen's hips as his head turned to the side, her hand still gripping his ear roughly. He flashed his deep blue eyes up at her, his lips turned in a sort of frightened pout.

Lord Malvort

Having been released by Cervantes, the powerful Lord was good to his word. With a hand motion, he commanded the crossbowmen to stand down. Malvort then turned to watch the motley group of adventurers attempt to collect their wits and decide what to do. All the while, he stared directly at Vixen, who he had hired to deliver the woman standing nearby her. To Vixen, his gaze felt several degrees cooler than the icy blasts of winter.

He spoke softly to his men, "Mark that one there, standing by the treacherous mercenary, Vixen. Mark her well, for she is the Lady Gwen, and I will wed her, if I have to cut through every piece of merc trash this side of the Black Forest!" To the chief of his huntsmen, he added, "Go now, and find Stagwort... or his corpse."

Rocky hung from the brach carefully, leaning down. He was waiting for something very specific. A lonely scout.
There was one. A scout from Malvort's group of soldiers. He looked quite young, which was good. That all led to Rocky's master plan.
Hah, he still laughed at it. It wouldn't be a very good plan at all, but he didn't know what to do. It looked like a way to help out Muffin though. And since he had been seperated from the rest of the group with would at least get him back there.
He took out one of his squirrels pointing to the scout.
In a moment they were off, scratching and biting like never before. In an instant he was on the ground holding the horse. He quickly pulled the man off, holding a dagger to his neck.
"Run away, just run away."
The guy looked at him with such horrific eyes, and then ran off. Rocky got up on the horse, looking at his own attire. This was going to be interesting. He sighed, taking out his knapsack. Something that Cervie had given him a while ago. An alteration pill. It made him look like someone else for an entire week.
He swallowed the pill, thinking of the person who had just left. His face began forming, changing, reacting to different lines. In a minute he grabbed the reigns and pulled back over to the rest of the group, which had now nearly surrounded all his friends. Trying to look distinguished he blended into the rest of the crowd. Whatever happened he would just not show much attention to himself and just help his friends whenever possible.
For now he couldn't do much of anything however.

Gwen felt Malvort's regard and stiffened her spine. She stared blankly ahead and ground her teeth.

Muffin frowned. "I don't like this, we can still run Gwen."

"No, Muffin, he'll just catch me again." Gwen sighed, then nudged her horse forward. She dipped her head without lowering her eyes. "M'lord. I do not wish to marry you."

Vixen

To Vixen, his gaze felt several degrees cooler than the icy blasts of winter.

He spoke softly to his men, "Mark that one there, standing by the treacherous mercenary, Vixen. Mark her well, for she is the Lady Gwen, and I will wed her, if I have to cut through every piece of merc trash this side of the Black Forest!" To the chief of his huntsmen, he added, "Go now, and find Stagwort... or his corpse."

OOC:... [lol]... ooops forgot that you hired me there for a second... [grins]

Vixen looks up at Lord Malvort. She doesn't flinch from his frosty gaze but merely raises an eyebrow at him confidently. She releases Cervantes from her grip and tosses her head indicating he would get his later and to be still for now.

"M'Lord Malvort... I don't wish to interrupt your marital prospects... but there is my payment to be finalised yet..." She moves just enough so that she stands before Gwen and Muffin. A clear indication that she will not hand either over until her wages have been paid.

"As you see... I have delivered the Lady Gwen in one piece, alive and well, as requested..."

Muffin glanced uneasily at Gwen who just stared Malvort down. Dragon flicked his tail, then his ear. This was getting no where fast. He had half a mind to break the Familiar Rules again and zap someone. Damned Muffin and her stupid don't hurt anyone ideals.

If anything, Vixen's spine grew stiffer while she waited for Malvort to say something.

Silence seemed to reign around the grassy knoll while the groups of mercenaries and knights, almost like a group of parade goers, waited with baited breath to see what had happened.

Lord Malvort

Lord Malvort simply stares at Gwen. "Wench, I was not offering you a choice! Either be my bride, or have your life become a running hell, as you flee my hunters at every turn!" He turned to Vixen, "As for you, if you remove that insane warrior, you will be paid. I did not offer to pay you merely so I could meet the woman! When she is mine, wedded to me, safely within my keep, you will be paid... not before."

Vixen

Vixen frowned.

Quietly she spoke.

"Let me get this straight... you're... changing the negotiations?" She raised one elegant eyebrow in incredulous query.

"As I recall it... the deal was... to find and return the Lady Gwen... there was no talk of marriage or otherwise... just to have her returned alive..." She paused. She was not foolish... she realised who she was speaking to. She had dealt with him before and he'd driven a hard bargain, actually getting her to lower her rates which was... to date... unheard of. Still, she also realised her only hope at keeping things even was to put forth herself as strong as possible.

He would respect little else.

"But..." she continued with a smile... flashing white teeth his way... "if you're inviting me to attend the wedding as your guest.." she bows her head regally.. "I would be honoured.." she grins... glancing up at him.

"But... I really must insist on half my payment now... I will accept the other half after the wedding as a show of faith M'Lord..."

She glared Cervantes down as he appeared to open his mouth to say something. He grinned unabashedly back at her but heeded her silent warning.

"As for my insane warrior... I do apologise... he hasn't exactly been... trained to speak with his betters yet... I will keep him under control... my word on it..." She thrusts her hand out towards Lord Malvort as a signal of her good intent.

Gwen stuck her chin out. "I will not marry you. The law states that I must give my permission before you can marry me. We aren't like those bloody infidels in the holy land. I want to speak to my father."

Muffin frowned at Gwen and Malvort smiled. Their father was as flighty as they came, he was all for Malvort because he'd somehow gotten the misguided notion that Gwen actually wanted to marry him.

"But Gwen-"

"I'm sure that once I explain this all to Father, again, he'll finally understand."

Malvort

Lord Malvort smiled at Gwen, "Dear woman, your mystical potential is unrivaled, but your grasp of jurisprudence -and reality- is sadly lacking. You have already been given to me by your father, as is his right and duty. Besides which, my word IS law for several days ride from here!" Moderating his tone and standing much closer to her, he continued "Lady Gwen, I do not understand your reluctance... I assure you, I am the most eligible bachelor in the land. No man can provide you with the security, the wealth, or the position that I can. Your father's inability to provide a dowry would have kept you from marrying so well, were it not for your innate worth. There isn't a Lady in the kingdom who would not envy you. Why, together, we could very well become King and Queen of the entire land!" He reached out to touch her cheek with an ungloved hand. "Lady, I am a hard man, true, but no harder than circumstance forces me to be. These are unsettled times, Lady, and they require hard men. Join me, and perhaps we can bring order to the land. Perchance then you can learn to appreciate me."

Seeing Vixen waiting impatiently for a response, Malvort turned to her. "True enough, and fairly spoken, Vixen. You shall have your half now, my hand on it." He placed his hand in hers, and shook it.

Vixen...

Vixen watched the interlude between Lord Malvort and Lady Gwen with interest. He was a hard man to read... even for her own, inate abilities.

She looked over at Dragon who was clearly eager to do damage to something... or more specifically someone.

Patience Old Boy... patience... we're getting inside... that's what we want... I give my word to let you seek justice when the time comes...

Smiling in acknowledgment Vixen shook Lord Malvort's hand. That is when she felt... something. She looked up startled, but quickly covers up her surprise.

"A pleasure to do business with you M'Lord..." she smiles winsomely, releasing Lord Malvort's hand.

Cervantes:

Rising to his feet, Cervantes stepped up behind Vixen, encircling her in his arms, his lips pressed roughly gainst the back of her neck. He paid little mind to the situations coming to rise about him. Focusing souly upon her... Her scent, her essence. It had been more than a day since he had been with her in the flesh, far too long for his tastes. His mouth opened, and his burning hot tongue pressed against the smooth skin of her shoulder. He did nothing to make his jesture of passionate hunger for her secret. Frankly he didn't give a fuck who saw, he just wanted her, and now. It was his way, when he lusted, he could not hide it... And when he lusted this strongly, he would NOT be shrugged off! His hands slipped about her stomach, drawing her roughly back against his hardened member. He growled lightly against her shoulder, his lips causing a soft humm against her flesh from the verbalization.

Vixen

Vixen groaned inwardly.

He was in heat! He had absolutely with out a doubt the WORST timing!

She felt Cervantes step up behind her and start nuzzling. That he would do so in plain view of everyone and under the present circumstances could mean only one thing.

He was playing the mating game.

She now did something most un-characteristic of her. She blushed. A stupid and useless reaction she was well aware.

She attempted to shrug him off but he was persistent... and worse... insistent.

She cursed herself for falling prey to his lusts at the Inn... it had probably done nothing to curb his appetites... only... as was now clearly obvious... whetted his appetite for more.

She had to move them along before he embarrassed them all with his now extremely animal behaviour.

"M'Lord... I believe it would be best if perhaps we hurried to your castle... I'm sure you are eager to start the preparations for the upcoming ceremonies..." She smiled whilst jabbing Cervantes decidedly in the ribs. He grunted in surprise but was back holding her even more firmly in his embrace.

She rolled her eyes... wishing he could hear her... wait! He could damn him!

She turned, escaping his embrace and glared at him pointedly. There was no escaping her silent mental wrath.

'You know full well you are embarrassing me with your lusts right now and you STILL persisted! You are SUCH a bastard!' Her mind blasted him.

He grinned sheepishly, shrugging his shoulders.

''Tis not often I get to see you blush my fox. He replied cockily.

'Oh Cervantes... you will woe the day you taunted me.' She scowled. Vaguely she could hear the now familiar sound of Dragon snorting with amusement.

'Hardly pet... in fact I do believe... yes... I do believe I look forward to seeing what you can dish out.'

This time Cervantes chortle was vividly audible.

She stepped forward seemingly innocently enough and stomped on his foot hard. He winced... but didn't yelp. He'd felt worse.

She tossed her head clearly thinking she had the better of him now as she turned towards the rest, hoping they would be moving soon.

Cervantes:

Smiling wickedly as Vixen opened herself up to yet more caressing, Cervantes was once again behind her, warm, yet rough hands cupping her breasts through her cloths. His hungers posessed him, he could feel no pain, only the gut wrenching, mind bending desire to couple with Vixen, THIS VERY INSTANT! He would NOT let up in the least... She forcibly pryed his hands from her chest, only to find them on her hips, snaking inward to fondle her sex through her clothing...

OOC: Sorry about not posting, but it's been that kind of week.

IC: Gwen clenched her jaws and tried, vainly, not to grind her teeth in frustration. Vixen collected the reins to her horse and led it along behind her own. Malvort smiled, a chilling expression, then turned his back to her as if she were no threat to him at all. That made her angry.

Vixen put up a calming hand, then clucked at her horse, sending him after Malvorts. Dimly, she was aware of Muffin close by, but the tunnel vision of her anger made her focus on Malvort's back and how much she'd like to stick her sword through it.

Unfortunatly, this thread has died. *Sings song of mourning*

Mainly cause Rave and I have had little or no access to a computer. I just wanted to thank all the people who took this thread as far as it went. Killermuffin, Rocky, Moneytalks, you all are wonderful to role play with, and I hope to do so in the future.

Maybe later on down the road, when we get a working computer agian, we could attempt to start up another darmus thread.

All in good time.................
