North Carolina State just beat #17 Florida State! That ought to get Chuck Amato off the hot seat after NC State lost to Akron a few weeks ago.

I love it when the Florida teams get beat.

YAY!

I love it when Florida teams get beat; I especially love it when Miami gets beat.

I thought I would answer your question here, Silver. It seemed more appropriate. :D

Games I am looking forward to this weekend:

On the College level, the Florida - Auburn game should be a good one.

VT got their butts handed to them by BC last night, which disappoints me greatly. /sighs

For NFL games, I really looking forward to the Giants- Falcons game. And, as much as you will hate me, Silver, I'm pulling for the Falcons.

I'm also interested in the Eagles- Saints game and pulling for the Saints.

you're pulling atlanta? but vick's vastly more annoying than shockey!

i also am hoping the saints beat the eagles, but that's strictly for divisional reasons. otherwise, i kinda like philly and i think the world of mcnabb as a human being.

Football is confusing. I spent my time in high school in the marching band, and I still have no clue. lol

I'm a baseball fanatic though...Astros all the waY!!!

yes, i'm pulling for atlanta. i'm a virginia tech alumni; michael vick played at virginia tech. to me there is nothing like watching him when he is really on his game. although, it is almost always heart attack inducing.

i don't find vick all that annoying because i have followed him from VT to the Falcons. vick still has some growing to do, but he's better than he was if you know his history from VT.

i had hoped that he would slap some sense into his younger brother marcus, who is infinitely more talented than he is. but sadly, there is an education and a career wasted in that one unless he can find a way to redeem himself. i'm not holding out hope for that though, which is disheartening.

i think highly of mcnabb as a human being too, but have never been a philly fan. somehow the fact that my brother-in-law has been a die-hard saints fan since he was in high school (explain that one when he has spent his life in utah) has rubbed off on me. revluc probably has something to do with that as well; although he's not as big of a saints fan as his brother is.

I thought both teams were impressively unimpressive. I was cheering for BC's kicker, though, since this was his first football game ever.

Yeah, they were both pretty unimpressive, and although I am a diehard VT fan, I was happy to see BC's kicker do well.

SJ, sorry about the drubbing vick took at the hands of the giants d today.

Yeah, that was some drubbing. Still, that one run of his was nearly heart-attack inducing....as should be expected. You would think I would be used to watching those runs by now, but every time I kind of squince my eyes up and think this is going to be the one where he gets his knee blown out.

i have to say, that TD was a beautiful run.

Yes; yes it was. Still it's one of those things you watch with your heart in your mouth.

I've been watching him run like that since he was at VT. And yeah, I know...I know, you don't like him. But man those runs of his. Even if I didn't like him, I'd stop just to watch those runs.

it's a little bit like watching barry sanders sometimes, isn't it?

ed

Mmmm...a little, but Barry Sanders is in a category all his own when it comes to beautiful runs.

In theory I'd be watching the Chief's getting their asses kicked by the Steelers tonight as I was out last night and missed it but knowing the score it really doesn't appeal.

couldn't see some of 'em but the ones i did see...jeez, that had to be a very, very uncomfortable locker room.

At least Kansas managed to beat the Chargers yesterday so I could claim bragging rights over my friend who supports San Diego but the season is looking grim already.

[giggle]

this isn't looking like a good year for you, phaedre. my sympathies.
