Lucky... I work a full week, although new years day is one very early 4 hour shift.. lol

Work runs on a volunteer basis on holidays, but if they don't fill all the slots then they just pull names to fill up the openings. It is always the late afternoon, early evening slots they need to fill, I prefer to volunteer for a shift I want instead of getting stuck with one.. lol. I'm working all day new years eve and start at 5:30am the next morning. So not much in the way of celebration going on here but I'm good with that too..

No fun with the wife in many nights As a family, we did a lot of stuff together over the last few days. That was nice. Been awhile as they are getting older and friends and girlfriends normally win out over us.

Pumpkin pancakes are a norm around our house. I get the eggs and sausage made while my wife makes them.
