You can modify whether or not you view avatars in your Control Panel settings.

The pic in your profile seems to be the right size. Try that one. Or, just go to one of the web sites that offer AVs for free and test one out. You can put another up, after you get the idea of how.

Photobucket does well for sizing. I don't understand how to size but first posting it on photobucket does it right for size. I tend to look for easy solutions like that. The pic in your profile is lovely indeed!

Nymph- Try opening pics using whatever picture editing software you have. You should be able to open the pic you want and select "format" or something of the like. Select "resize" and if your options are in height and width make it half of its current height and width. If your sizing option is in pixles the same applies....that usually works me. As I am no computer wiz.
