Be as boring as possible.

I like a nice ecru. Maybe eggshell, or a very mild taupe.

My entire house is painted and decorated in a mild taupe. I have been wrestling with the idea of introducing a touch of some taupe in a slightly less mild tone, possibly a light fitting or cushion cover.

That speed bump at the apartment complex near me has piqued my interest. I believe, but am not sure, that the incline is slightly steeper than the "run of the mill" speed bump. I am going to consider ways of measuring this speed bump and comparing it with another speed bump that seems more representative of other American speed bumps.

I've just been wondering about rolled oats and their nutritional value. I think I might compare standard Quaker rolled oats to the quick-cooking oats and see which one becomes more gelatinous upon full cooking. I'm looking for rolled-oat taste testers. There will be no flavoring- just oats and water.

After some weeks of deliberating, I have decided to try a different coloured dishwashing detergent today.

I decided on a nice soft taupe to refinish the underside of my car seats. So I know that the whole car is just enveloped in a warm beige.

Today is Friday the 13th. And trash day. Too much excitement, I'm going back to bed.

I love you, little greyish-brown piece of bark. You'll never have to fend for yourself again in that tiny space between the trashcan and the brick wall.

I suppose the best definition of "tedium" I ever heard is, being bitten to death by a duck.

I believe I read somewhere that old time-y Chinese warlords would suspend an enemy over freshly-planted bamboo shoots, which would grow through their bodies, eventually killing them, somewhat painfully. Duck bites *would* be bad, I guess... those rounded bills and itsy-bitsy horny protuberances on the inside, not taking chunks out of one, but just slowly wearing their way through...

ETA: This article on the practice.
