Today's acquisition.

Frayja is our Baltic Porter aged for one year in Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Barrels. Then finished on Madagascar Vanilla Beans. 11% abv.

12 ounces of Old Mad Dog barleywine from Denali Brewing this evening.

“Your mother was a hamster and your father smells of elderberries!”

Monty Python’s Holy Grail Ale, this evening.

I believe that because it's “tempered over burning witches”, it's delish.

Love all the new microbrews popping up and all the creative things they come up with. Love scotch ales, tried an awesome jalapeno beer, banana bread beer and so many others.

A friend of mine is from the former Yugoslavia. I’ve been trying all kinds of regional beers in that area. Nishko (Serbian), a Montenegrin one and zlatny medved and karlovotchko (croatian). All excellent.

I split a Cynosure Norwegian Dark Ale with my son last evening.

"This winter ale is brewed with Kveik, a Norwegian farmhouse yeast. Oak-smoked wheat malt and beech-smoked malt contribute a pleasant smokiness to the aroma and flavor, and spruce tips add a hint of spice and spruce."

Perfect while grilling chicken.
