Behind the Scenes (closed)

Feeling the paint from her hand Craig growls playfully and chases her across the stage. He puts his cheek against hers...smearing some opf the paint on Lillian's face. He kisses her deeply, but as he does, he spreads paint on her arms.

Craig sees that playful look in her eyes. "Eeeek"

"I hope you don't love this shirt..." She said pressing her hands against his chest. She gave him a quick kiss before slipping out of his arms and quickly taking off running.

Craig grabs one of the disposable brushes that still has plenty of paint in the bristles and chases her across stage. She darts back stage near the wardrobe storage and dressing rooms.

"Lillian." He calls out. "Oh Lillian"

Lilly rushed into the girls dressing room closing the door behind her. "You'll never get me..." She said leaning against the door "you're not even allowed in here..."

He presses against the door. "Ah, but you forget, I am the stage director. I am allowed everywhere." Lillian puts up a struggle and craig sees her reflection in the wall to wall mirrors. My God, she's beautiful, he thinks.

Eventually, he pushes himself into the dressing room. He tips lillian's nose with the paintbrush and drags it up the bridge and onto her forehead.

Stepping back, he admires his work...yet waits for retaliation.

Lilly glanced in the mirror "I think it's my turn to do some painting." She said taking the paintbrush from his hand before painting a stripe across his forehead." She smiled "I really should sign a work of art this good..." She said painting her name on his shirt right under the paint from early "there..."

Craig takes the paintbrush that poses no more threat now that the paint is all on us. He tosses the brush aside and rushes in to Lillian.

His chest transferring paint onto her green tank. He lifts her onto the prep table and kisses her hungrily. Tasting her tongue as he moves between her legs. Modies tight. Paint transferred. Breathing synchronized.

His hand moves to her breast.

She didn't hesitate to push his hand away "what are you doing Craig?" She asked pulling away from him. She took a deep breath getting down from the table "I should get going..."

Not wanting to ruin his chances, Craig apologized for moving too fast...but not for touching her. He would do it again if given an opportunity. Still, he wasn't gioing to do anything against her will.

All of the rejection he got as an actor now seemingly affecting his confidence with women. Snap out of it, Craig.

"Shall I pick you up about 8?" He opens the door to let her leave.

"Um... Yeah... I'll see you then..." She said giving him a quick smile before she walked out. She looked down at her paint covered clothes as she walked to her dorm room.

Craig ran to his dorm room and prepped himself for the date. Scrubbing off the paint in the cold shower, he resolved to be a perfect gentleman.

Soon, he found himself entering Lillian's dorm and knocking on the door.

"Come in..." Lilly said fixing her hair in her mirror. She had taken a shower, done her her hair, and dressed in a red dress. "Where are we going?" She asked as she pulled on a pair of heels.

"I have reservations for Giovanni's. Then perhaps I can embarrass you at th karaoke bar afterwards." Craig smiles admiring her as she fills out that gorgeous red dress.

"About earlier... I'm not ready to take things into bed... Or on top of a table for that matter. Please understand that and I'm sorry... I just need some time..." She said walking out the door.

"Of course!" Craig said offering lilly his arm, escorting her to his car. " please, let me know if I ever push the boundaries." He leans in and kisses her cheek.

"You certainly clean up phenomenally well!"

"I will, and thanks." She said getting into the car "you have no idea how difficult it was to get all that paint off, it was in my hair... You really made a mess... I'm pretty sure my clothes are ruined."

"I'm certain I did." Craig admitted. "But on the bright side, I have an original, signed Lillian Tyler masterpiece. It may just become my lucky shirt. I'll wear it during gameday, I'll wear it to casting reviews. I'll wear it to the Tony's"

Soon they arrive at Giovanni's and the valet rushes to open your door. Craig makes his way around the car to escort Lilly into the restaurant. Craig is admittedly nervous. He is only semi-aware of social protocol at restaurants this nice. He is nervous about promising karaoke later - he only sang in the shower or car. He didn't even attempt to try for main characters in musicals.

Mostly, Craig was nervous being on a first date with Lilly. In an all-too familiar sense, he was auditioning for her heart.

"Why are you so nervous? You look even more scared than at any of you're auditions." Lilly said as she walked inside with him "do you not want to be here?" She asked afraid he had changed his mind about all of this.

Craig laughs at the irony. Even Lilly's question about his nervousness eased it. Was it her voice? Her demeanor? Whatever it was, Craig was thrilled she was there.

Opting only to tell Lilly the first couple of reasons, and omitthe main one, Craig confesses. "This is way past my dining experience. I haven't had the chance to read Emily Post, first." Craig winks at her asthey are led to the table. "And later you will find out I'm no Luciano Pavarotti."

Craig pulls out the chair for his date. Leaning over, he whispers into Lilly's ear. "Still, there is no other place I would rather be than with you. Here. Now." He closes his lips in a tender kiss on her earlobe.

"Don't worry about it... And we don't need to go to karaoke later, we could just watch a movie at your place or something." She said as she looked over the menu "I don't want to make you nervous..."

"You aren't making me nervous." Craig looks at Lilly intensely across the table. Candlelight dances in her eyes. Taking a mental picture to be filed forever, he continues. "You are absolutely stunning, Lillian!"

A waiter arrives and Craig orders both some wine from the menu followed by the meal. The waiter politely excuses himself.

There was no reason to do what he did next. The table wasn't as small as the one at the sandwich shop. But that didn't deter Craig. He adjusted in his chair and touched her leg with his. Leaving it bound to hers.

"I'm not..." She said "your the one who's incredibly attractive..." Lilly felt his leg as it touched hers but she didn't move, she just continued to let her leg rest against his.

"Please. You are gorgeous." Craig dropped the playful banter knowing that there was no sense arguing. After all, she could never convince him that she was anything less than stunning.

The food arrives and craig asked about her family. Her high school. Her favorit vacation ever. The longest job she had...and the shortest.

He reaches across the table to hold her hand as they open their histories fo each other's perusal. As their fingers entwine, Craig notices that she is looking inte his eyes intently. She touches the corner of her mouth.

"Oh," craig smiles at his date and wipes a tiny bit of sauce off his lip. His tongue follows suit and seeks anything that may have been missed. But instead of retreating into his mouth, Craig's tongue moistens his lips.

She laughed "are you trying to be seductive?" She asked letting go of his hand. "Maybe you could use my help with that too..."

"Oh yeah? Let's see how you you do it!" Craig challenges Lilly playfully. He raises his eyebrow in anticipation."
