Behind the Shed

A euphemism from when I was growing up was “take em behind the shed” which usually meant a kid was about to get a whooping from their parent or an animal was about to get put down.

So it made me think of this idea: woman or man pisses off their mom or dad off so someone takes them behind the shed…only the person who takes them has no idea what is supposed to happen behind the shed or has a very different idea.

For example: young woman is 18 but is stuck at home with her ma, step pa, and giant stepsibling until the fall. She gets into a fight with her ma, pointing out her step pa ain’t home and ma wouldn’t dare lay a finger on her. Ma calls her stepsibling, a brick shithouse of a man or woman to “take her behind the shed”

…only stepsibling doesn’t know what is supposed to happen. Their pa never beat them and they don’t want to hurt their stepsis but they don’t want to disobey their stepma

Then stepma says: “I want you to make a mess of her” and MC comes up with an idea. Sure enough she comes back to the house with a red bottom and she’s struggling to walk, but it ain’t because stepsibling gave her a beating

Course another idea could be the euphemism meaning different things and confusion coming from that.

Woman hears guy saying he’s going to take her behind the shed one of these days. She thinks he means putting her down like a rabid dog. So she jumps him when he’s alone and puts him in a wrestling hold till he confesses he meant he was saying he was going to whip her cause she’s always bullying him. Woman becomes offended: when has she ever bullied him (as she is still applying the hold)? She lets him go but then drags him behind the shed the next day:

She’s glad he sing gonna kill her and she’s sorry for taking him behind the shed and humiliating him but her brothers told her another definition of going behind the shed that she thinks they’ll both like and she strips down

I'm imagining a old Victorian health spa. Geothermal pools, massage therapy, health foods and saunas. Painting classes and lawn games.
In this case, the 'shed' is the pool house. To be asked if you would join someone 'behind the pool house' is asking for sex. It's just understood. Behind the pool house is row of chaise lounge chairs. Any commotion from back there is politely ignored by other guests.
The place is run by a lusty older couple who are devoted to giving their clients the most relaxing and satisfying experience possible.
