Gonna have to disagree with you here.

Sweden relied on the US to protect its population with the vaccine our scientists created. So let’s get that out of the way.

Sweden abandoned its elderly and sick in the name of capitalism. If you’re not immunocompromised or elderly, it was fine.

Additionally, you cannot compare the US to any developed country because our health system is shit. We are the most diverse country on the planet with the least access to quality health care for everyone in the developed world. Most deaths in the US early on were lower income and poor people, which Sweden doesn’t have.

Just throwing that out there. Even if you believe in alternative medicine, the elderly and sick were a eugenics project for the Swedes.

Most deaths in the us were the elderly living in senior housing of one sort or another.

And a lot of them were service workers with no protection, mostly lower income and minority. Sweden offered no protection to the elderly as a policy choice.

America offered no protection to a huge segment of workers as an economic reality.
