Bernie Sanders

Even if the polls show her losing to Cruz?

yes since the only reason Sanders is doing is okay in those polls is because the GOP hasn't attacked him as hard as they have for Clinton. The GOP would love Clinton to lose to Sanders, then they can attack him about socialism, his rape essay, his praise of the soviet union, praise of fidel castro, thinking cancer is caused by sexual repression, thinking food lines are a good idea, etc.

Except NY is her home state where she was twice elected senator, and is:

1. A primary; primaries have favored Clinton so far, while caucuses have favored Sanders.

2. Is a closed primary, so no independents can vote. In the primaries where Sanders has beaten Clinton, they have been open primaries where independents have overwhelmingly favored Sanders. Since it's closed, Sanders can't get help from independents this time.

3. NY is the home of Wall Street. I take that they won't respond too kindly to Sanders' constantly shitting on them.

4. NY has a lot of minorities, which favors Clinton.

Calling NY her home state is something of a stretch. She has had an address there for 16 or 17 years, but she was born in IL and lived more of her life in AK than in NY.

If she is elected POTUS, Hilly will probably steal the WH furnishings earlier this time than she did the last time, so she will have a better chance of getting away with it.

I'm to lazy to read the previous posts. Does Sanders have any idea what he's doing with respect to foreign policy? Is he a friend of israel? How is he going to deal with Putin? ISIS? etc?

Clinton did not live more of her life in AK than in NY.

In fact I can't find any record of her ever living in AK...

Depends on who ya ask.

I don't think he's an enemy of Israel but if your asking if he will kiss their ass and shower them with cash and prizes we don't have and can't afford like the religious right will I highly doubt it.

He probably won't, no real reason to, besides there are bigger problems for us to deal with here.

So, what i hear is he is weak on foreign policy, which is a problem considering all that's going on in the world. The current administration is dreadful with respect to foreign policy which is contributing to the instability we are witnessing.

I believe he has the foreign policy of not starting fucking wars and telling other people what to do in their own countries, but save our jobs and spend money at home. I don't think he will 'Drone' the hell out of folks the way Bush/Obama has.

I'd happily and proudly take this president's foreign policy over anybody running for the opposition save Paul and perhaps Kasich. And he and Hillary still suck pretty bad.

My mistake. It was AR.

;) I figured that's what you meant.

What's weak about a foreign policy of not blowing all our blood/treasure on largely irrelevant bullshit that ain't our fuckin problem ?

The instability we are witnessing is a direct result of our aimlessly fiddle fucking about the middle east for 15 years to keep military industrial complex funding going. Buying tons of shit we don't need, can't sell, can't use and the Pentagon doesn't want.

If it were really about putting radical Islam down and not republican welfare funding that war would have lasted all of maybe 48 hrs. Not 15 fuckin' years.

A corporate whore huh? The sanders campaign showing no class.

Sanders immediately disowned and condemned it, which, yes is classy. He can't control everyone who speaks at a rally.

What I would have like to see him do last week, though, is to declare that he disowned and condemned heckling of Clinton by his supporters at her rallies as happened last week. He may, in fact, have done that. I didn't catch that being done, though. That's definitely a path neither one of them should go down.

I agree, he should condemn his harassing supporters, of which there are many. Even Trump supporters are more civilized

As for the debate, I thought neither sanders or Clinton did a particularly good job. Hillary stumbled regarding her transcripts and Bernie stumbled regarding gun control.

Last month, Sanders was the only presidential candidate to reject AIPAC’s invitation to speak at its annual convention.

Last week, he told the New York Daily News that the IDF killed 10,000 innocent Palestinians in Gaza during Protective Edge in 2014, (the actual number was fewer than a thousand, and Hamas claims it was around 1,500).

When his slanders caused an outcry, Sanders shrugged his shoulders, winked and then pretended to correct himself while spewing still more inflated statistics. In so doing, he continued his public fight with Israel and the Jews in America who support it.

Then there are his Jewish campaign officials.

They hate Israel.

Sanders’s director of Jewish outreach is Simone Zimmerman. Zimmerman is a prominent anti-Israel, pro-BDS activist. Among her greatest achievements, last year she published an expletive- filled post on her Facebook page describing how much she hates Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

And Zimmerman is not alone. Daniel Sieradski, who manages the Facebook page “Jews for Bernie,” is an anti-Israel activist.

By hiring anti-Israel Jews to serve in key Jewish positions in his campaign, Sanders signals to the anti-Semites that they have a friend in him. He and his Jewish campaign officials are not the bad “Zionist Jews.”

And I think Hillary made a strategic mistake in the New York debate last night by not pointing that out at some point.

If she had, she would need to mention AIPAC, and she probably wants to avoid saying PAC.
