eagleyez is, of course, 100% goy. My personal shaygetz. We sometimes say that when we are married we will be "McJew." Ahem. But yknow faith is faith. Sometimes I go to church with him and he has gone to temple with me, not because either of us are interested in converting--haha neither of us is really practicing the faiths we were born into. It's just good to be in a community of faith sometimes; who cares whose it is? And it's good to experience the traditions each of us grew up with--it's a love and sharing thing.

Dammit.......where is my camcorder?!
Oh gawd all I can see now is a white pantied bottom bent over a desk and a swishing cane
She's wearing panties? Won't that get in Mr. Hat's way? :caning:
hey, everyone.
I am so glad that my current college course is almost over. It is motivational processes in psychology. ho-hum. It was 95% common knowledge. For example, did you know that music and emotions can be motivators? wow. amazing news, right?
Anyway, my next class is cognitive psych, and I'm looking forward to it. It starts Tuesday.
Now that my final project for school is complete, I'm just going to sit back and snicker at the falling score of my Loving Wives story that posted last night. LOL

"Shaygetz" is am awesome word. I've a friend that calls his wife his "little shiksa" and laughs about it, as does she. I figured there had to be a masculine version of that word.
I'm not interested in conversion. I have nothing against religion and belief, I am just of long-studied opinion that I lack whatever it is in the mind/heart/soul that allows for faith. It's just not in me.
I was actually talked to about conversion for the wedding. It was supposed to be a catholic thing, but I pretty much kiboshed that idea when I found I had to covert. Not interested, and I have to much respect for the faith of others to nod, smile, and lie.
*edited cause it makes me too hot to read twice*

I always have at least one good knife on me at any given time. I've yet to meet the panties that get in the way of that.
For me Homie, the concepts of faith and organized religion are almost mutually exclusive. I have a lot of faith and I don't need anyone else to guide me in its practice. At least I haven't met anyone I feel comfortable entrusting with how to interpret my faith. I never did do well in traditional institution kinds of settings.![]()
Edgeplay.
Now we're talkin'.

ohai!
Lightning took our internet down all day yesterday ARGH!!!! and I went through terrible withdrawal again. MOTHS!! EVERYWHERE! GET EM OFF ME!
The fundraiser last night was a little less successful than I'd hoped. However, my turquoise thong with the silver skull-and-crossbones netted about $70. So that's good, anyway.
I hope I'm not too late to see Pandora in the schoolgirl outfit. And is that UYS bent over a table back there?
oh my. it is...
hoo boy. What a weekend and it isn't even half over.
gmorning everyone (sucking coffee like breast milk, trying to wake up)

Even as a non-believer, I agree with this totally. Organised religion seems antithetical to experiencing the Divine. The whole idea of a personal relationship with your deity is sullied by adding an interpreter in there.

I like the edge. It's a fun place to hang out.
Congrats! Sometimes I miss taking courses. Then I get over it.![]()
Well, if you ever get the urge, I have papers due every week....

Hi high priestess of badness. Good to have to home.
My family was always more into being political than religious. I think that explains a lot about me!

I'm finishing up my B.S. in psychology just because I am so close to finishing. It seemed like a waste not to. If I do use it, I'll go on to study Art Therapy. However, I am tempted to just tuck away my B.S. and go on to art school just bcause I have always wanted to, but judged myself as not good enough. Now, that I have taught myself to paint and am participating in local art shows, I would welcome the challenge and learning experience.

I really like your point of view on religion. I agree with you, so you must be right, and very smart *lawlz*.
'Kay, so this brings up a question that i saw debated but never resolved over on the BDSM board. I learned the term 'edgeplay' as referring to playing with sharp instruments like knives. Then there are some who use it to refer to any sort of 'edgy' or intense play, and then there are others who use it to refer to orgasm control - 'keeping someone on the edge.'
Where do poets stand, since this is the group that really enjoys the semantics of something like this? And if edgeplay is one thing, then what terms do we use for the other two categories?

I relate to this on some strange level. Think 'knowledge as an aphrodesiac'.I do miss being in school. If I had the money, I would have just stayed a student my whole life, studying meaninless and esoteric weirdness deep in the bowels of foreign libraries forever. And I totally love writing papers. How twisted is that?
bj

I'd do it. To me the best learning is when you love the subject. My parents so bitched at me when I wanted to major in English. They were coninced it was a dead end careerwise. I was able to use my writing background to get ahead in every job I ever had. I tell my children now that it's never wrong to put time into studying a subject you love.![]()

I'm liking the term "edgeplay" in the figurative sense. I'd be more inclined to the whole orgasm control thing. Hotness!. Definitely into that. It would work for me either way.....being on the receiving end or doling out the denial of a climax. Yum!
Icks-nay on the sharp instruments. I'm a little skittish 'round blades. Though being cut out of a pair of panties would render me manic and speaking in tongues I'm sure.![]()
dear BJ_
I saw on the news last night the "deadly" storm that passed near you. I'm glad to see you're okay, even though suffering withdrawal from the net. Better than the permanent withdrawal from your kindness here.

The cane thing only in fantasies I am afraid ... touch me with anything like that and I'll have you for assault ... though I do have a slight kink that is far too weird to discuss publicly (pointed objects could come into it)
now that is my dream come true, a child that wants me to even go to school with her
cool, huh![]()

I had never even considered blades as playthings but long ago I met a guy who really dug having a sharp blade used on him. So I ended up really into it. Funny how much our kinks are shaped by the kinks of the people we love. I've gotten into more than one thing just because someone else goes crazy for it, and ended up building new territory into my own lovemap as a result.
If one has a brave enough partner who is really into that, there is something extraordinarily beautiful and powerful about tracing thin, decorative red lines onto skin. There's the simple aesthetics of it, which are stunning, and then there's the gorgeous mindfuck that goes along with it.
Who knew I'd be into that? It actually surprised me, once I was over being intimidated and felt more confidence in my own skills, just how much I enjoy that sort of thing...
Hi sweetie! Thank you ever so for the concern. Happily, most of it went north and east of us. I was actually able to eat dinner out on the back porch of a local place and watch an incredible lightning show in the northern sky.
It used to be something I'd have to remember consciously, but these days it's a habit, whenever I'm watching the radar or the sky, to say a little prayer for those under the dark red bits. I'd like to think that if enough people do that, maybe the storms have a teency bit less danger as they pass.
come now, this is hardly public. Fess up.
bj
I can't personally get off on caning, as discipline makes me ornery, but I think watching it...seing someone aroused by it would be quite erotic. As for "too weird to discuss publicly".......I don't think that realm exists here.
