Glad I came across this thread, BD, and seeing your beautiful pics of one of my favorite cities! :rose:

I haven't been to Vegas in years, and some of your shots are better than the ones that appear in the brochures! :D

I last stayed at the MGM Grand: phoned my friend from the lobby when I first arrived, then it took me 45 minutes to find the right elevator! :rolleyes: Hugh place!!

I missed seeing the volcano erupt, but your pics bring you right there! Glad you and the missus had a good time.

P.S. What's a vacation?? ;)

Yes, the MGM Grand is big isnt it, the walk from the monorail station to the strip is a long long way LOL.

If we go back, or should that be when? We will stay at the Flamingo, and visit the penguins each day, it truly is lovely there.
The only thing that puts us off returning is the flight home. We virtually lose a day. And it took all week to get back into UK time. Even though we upgraded to Business Class for the journey, it still seemed to take forever. We left our hotel just after 9 Sun morning, got home just after 9 Mon morning, with the 8 hour time difference.

But having said that Vegas is unique, literally, it is so fabulous, I could talk all day about it LOL
On that note, I will shut up :D

Oh yes, do you know we have a family of ducks where I live? Mom and Dad wander around the gardens. Well, she has not been around for a few days, sitting on eggs I figure, so, I should have pics of them walking the ducklings soon, very small ones.
It is great to watch her and dad shepherd them across the road

And we go to Italy in August

We're still not in any hurry, so no date set.

After viewing BD's Vegas pics though, maybe we should just take off for a Vegas chapel! ;)


I agree with you, BD, that there is absolutely NO place like Vegas! It's like a giant playground for adults. Hope we get back there whenever Oman gets what people call a "vacation". ;)

Been a busy old weekend here in the UK.
Today is a holiday also, so we get a 4 day weekend,
but now I am back :)
