Lord. One person encouraged him so instead of listening to the several that told him to give it a rest he is bumping months old picture threads looking for pictures to comment on. It's like buying a dirty magazine and having the 7-11 clerk come home with you to tell you what to fantasize about.

I have had him on ignore for months but I can still picture that voice in my head. Such a bizarre thing to be troubled about. I don't even have any idea which pictures he is commenting on (well all of them) and what he is saying, but somehow, knowing he is doing so, makes whatever comes to my mind seem like a part of that ilk.

Overall, my baby bird is doing better, although she had a fever last night and had to be iced down for several hours, so didn't get much sleep because she was too damn cold! They're not sure if it's another UTI or if its from her central line (I.V. near her collarbone), but they've gone ahead and upped her antibiotics until they figure it out.

I just called and she's still in surgery, they'll do a u/s while she's there to see if there's been any improvement with the clot.

Interesting to note: my older daughter (who is here with me) and I have felt rather forgotten by our friends and family. Lots of lip service on FB, but precious few visits or phone calls over the past five months. Out of sight, out of mind, I guess. <shrug>

However, several of my Lit friends have been wonderfully supportive, checking in now and then to see how we're doing, to offer encouragement, and even to listen to me whine. There are some truly fabulous folks here on Lit, and if they weren't all so fucking far away from me, I would hug their necks, and kiss their faces in deep gratitude.

I was brought in as a culinary consultant for 2 different books that a published author friend of mine has written and which are both coming out shortly, (the books not the author friend).

I came up with 5 recipes for her, in two different genres, in 2 different books. I got a mention in the author's note, and paid quite a bit for the recipes. Woohoo! I would be perfectly happy developing and writing recipes for her as often as she wants.

And Imemkay--I will just send you the recipes, I don't think either of the books would be your cuppa.
