Didn't think that would be offensive, seeing as you're still young. 26/27 right?

Are you married yet?

Me? Oh, you meant actually whispering.....

Can I still join? I'm working my way through the Terry Pratchett novels at the moment, with a few others thrown in on the side....

The Second Meeting

*lights some candles
We are in the depths of my library. In our little den the books loom over us, and the candles whisper away the dark. Shadows dance on our faces and it is all vey atmospheric indeed.

'You expect us to read in this darkness. You really are a frigiot!' says someone.

'Shut up,' says Book Club King, 'Please welcome Whisp to the club. She has been reading T Pratchett. I have a read a lot of his stuff, but a long time ago.

'Aside from a couple of instances, it seems as if we've all read different books. I was thinking maybe some of you would be interested in contributing some of your work to The Book Club for discussion.

'I think the best way to do it is for someone to post a link to their work, and I'll post it in the starter thread. It would be good if we only had a couple of contributions to discuss to begin with, otherwise it might get a bit confusing. If anyone has any suggestions as to how this might work, please let me know.'

*Looks around the shadowy faces for a sparkle of interest. And to see what shoes Destine is wearing today. Those high-heels were sharp!

'So, anyone want to contribute something to Book Club for general reading and comments?'

-------------------
PS
Short is better, because most of are too lazy to bother reading much.

dl, I have no interest in having anything critiqued among friends nor critiquing others. That is not a "book club".

Rereading Turgenev's Diary of a Superfluous Man, brilliant novella. Read it.

Um this book club feel sooo ya-ya what with the candles and all
I just started reading tuesdays with morrie because it's supposed to be good. only time will tell

book club

I read alot but one that stands out is by James Byron Huggins is called Hunter. He will draw you into the story. Its fast paced when your done with one page you want to turn to the next to see what happens. I highly recmend it if you like fast paced action. It a real thriller.

I just finished the latest Harry Potter. My kids got it, I swear! Wasn't me, no! It was sitting next to the complete works of Shakespeare and I picked it up by accident. Yeah, that's what happened.
Now that I've totally convinced everyone that I would never go out and buy it for myself, I thought it was very good and although I've heard some say it was too long I thought it wasn't long enough. Sorta wanted it to keep going.
Now, where did I put that Chekhov I was reading..... :)
