Is that supposed to be one of those "which picture do you see" things?
Because sometimes I look at it and it's a guy reading a book, and sometimes there's a chick kneeling in front of him with her head in his lap.
My summer reading pile.
Mmmm, I am completely envious of the Malerman book. It's on my TBR list.
I actually forced myself the other night to organize my bookshelves instead of continuing to place new books haphazardly on the shelves. I am in dire need of sturdier bookshelves as the shelves are bowing in the center a bit.
I don't have OCD. I have CDO. It's like OCD, except the letters are in alphabetical order.
There's something about mismatched books on book shelves that scratches an itch for me, like anti-OCD. It makes me happy.
I haven't got much rhyme or reason for how mine are organised but I tend to know where everything is despite the sheer volume. I have four shelves just for biogs and the top deeper shelves are full of reference or coffee table books. Fiction is willy nilly.
I've noticed a lot of photos on book tumblrs where the spines are arranged by colour. This disturbs me on quite a few levels. It's just wrong wrong wrong.
Me too. And I like them in rows for a bit, then piled one on one. And crammed in all the crevices. All lined up like soldiers is boring. I like a maze of books.
Have you seen the sadists who are putting books with the spine in? I ever see that in someone’s home and I will have to leave immediately.
