Swan Song is an excellent book...kind of post apocalyptic.. Its similar to the Stand by Stephen King, which was also excellent.

James Rollins is adventure which are fun to read, Matthew Reilly is similar, but the king is Clive Cussler..and that older ones of his are good.


I like legal thrillers... Grishams older ones are good, King of Torts I read twice.. Michael Connelly is good some of Steve Martini is good. Lee Childs Jack Reacher books are pretty good but the last two were kinda yuk.

If you like it a bit eerie and make your heart race...The Relic by Lee Child and Douglas Preston is excellent..along with the early Pendergrast books.


If you like funny...Lewis Grizzard wrote a few, one called Shoot Low Boys, theyre riding shetland ponies is a good read.


I wish I could remember them all...ive read over 600..

He had to cull something like 400 pages from the original I believe because of the publisher said it was too long.


I love the stand...but thought it strange the first time I read it, that the walking dude was such a major character and bought the farm so quickly in the book... after reading the second version, it made a lot more sense.

I think Kings earlier books are brilliant...such a sick sense of humor. Love it.

That's about when I read it and to be honest, it being so long ago it would be like reading a whole new book.

If You don't mind Fantasy or if Your into it & Traveling then I don't know a better book to read than The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. It's light yet very descriptive about the people, places and things and just sucks you right into middle Earth.

There's a Wizzard (Flips Harry Potter the bird lol) Forrests, Rafting, Eating, Drinking, Flying with Eagles and a Dragon. Did I mention Treasure? Heck Id even read it to kids.

If you decide to read it, You'll be surprised how many people You start to think of as Dwarves Elves (How appropriate at this time of year?). Then there are the Trolls, Orcs, Goblins..especially at the Airport! lol.
