Border Bill Is National Disaster

Lol. Repubs got MOST of what they wanted and the bipartisan bill was all set to be passed until trump said “Biden must not get a win because I want the border to be an issue even if we are exaggerating shit!”

Nonsense. If you are not clear on what Republicans want, see HR 2.

It is a bad bill and deserves death. Giving an 'okay' to 5,000 illegals a day, granting Biden the ability to end the 'emergency' at a moment's notice, thereby not limiting the number to 5,000, sending all litigation to the ultra-leftist DC court instead of a Southern courts where it belongs.

Only 20 billion of the whole deal going to border 'security' - read that as 'processing' - this bill ensures that the border stays open and illegal immigrants will continue to take funds needed for taxpayers, and fentanyl and child trafficking will continue to flourish - how much more do you need to know - because there is more.

Biden, who showered with his underage daughter, is actively pro child prostitution.

It’s important to note that during the Obama administration, his Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson said 4,000 crossings day would “truly” be a “crisis.” The Senate bill establishes 4,000 a day as an acceptable flow. Democrats are seeking to accommodate the flow of illegal crossings. The GOP is seeking to stop the flow.

That's not what the bill does. it stops allowing asylum claims after 5000/day. There are already far more than that daily.

It would also expedite asylum cases and provide mechanisms for stopping all processing between ports of entry.

It tightens up requirements for asylum and adds tighter restrictions for parole (i.e.catch and release)

But as usual, the right obfuscates what the law does.

This is not an amnesty bill nor does it allow unfettered crossings in any way.
What I understood was that the bill gave everything that the republiCONs wanted. The only reason they are not backing the bill is because drumpf needs the help for his campaign smh

As submitted, the prognosis for implementation of the bill is almost zero. This leaves us again at ground zero. The bill came from the Executive push down to the Senate and reached the House. The House claims it had no input and, for a time, pushed the HR bill upward again without Senate input. I note 'for a time' until Trump spoke. Now, no matter the bill's current content, it won't float because of politics.

What should be happening is both legislator houses working together to reach a compromise on the HR bill and the current Biden-endorsed bipartisan proposal. That would be the normal way legislation works. That's how Americans expect the government to function. But that system is broken. The House calls the bill Dead on Arrival.

How does one fix a broken system when party politics has taken precedence over the best interest of our Nation's governance?

I'm just shaking my head at the swamp we as a nation find ourselves in - unable to govern for the common good.

Should we wait for recalls or vote out legislators? Where are the patriotic citizens working for the common good?

STOP THE FLOW, that’s the issue.

Ya don’t fix a broken system with a bill that guarantees the system stays broken.

Getting to the core of it, the bill is nothing more than a huge foreign aid package that does nothing for the average citizen beyond diving deeper into their wallets.

Every day the party you support fails to give you any ammunition to come here and argue about any subject matter. It lacks the will and the ability to fix the real problems of the world. That, to my delight, still doesn’t stop you from coming here daily to get your asses handed to you.

Sir, I must kindly take issue with the wording of this. You are too vague when the thing you need to say is clear.
Specifically, you correctly state the bill’s framework but veer far too close to false equivalence after. House Republicans, with their speaker calling the rapist leader of their party for guidance, then claimed that the bill was DOA. The swamp is THEM. The partisan legislators not caring to do their jobs is THEM. Those needed to be voted out, practicing party politics, and unable to govern for the common good? All THEM, THEM, THEM.

Ok. That’s my minor beef. Keep up the informative posts. 👍

If you like the senate bill why don't you enlighten us on why? Maybe try comparing HR-2 with the senate bill. 5,000 cap per day. The correct answer is immediate adjudication for each asylum case, if the standard is not met then get em on a plane and send them back immediately, period. 5,000 cap is bullshit. Who's number is that. Zero cap is the right answer!!! Remain in Mexico is the right answer. Texas is now proving walls work, BUILD THE FUCKING WALL! Allowing people in our country that will become dependent on our federal and state budgets in not sustainable. We as American have the constitutional right to determine who we want to participate in our culture. Blue sanctuary citizens are at the mercy of globalist and if they want change they have to vote in centrist democrat 1980 style liberals not these Marxist wingnuts.

“Though the bill would give them much of what they say they want, while offering Democrats only minor concessions in return, almost the entire GOP refuses to pass it.”

The immigration bill failure proves Republicans just don’t care

Your daily wild and unhinged rants targeting the democratic establishment leaves me deeply concerned about the health, welfare, and safety of your father. Is he ok? Where’s his head at?

So the Senate bill, which expanded HR2 is DOA. HR2 is DOA.

Apparently the President must temporarily take action to kick the can down the road again.

Fuck off, no use trying to have an adult conversation with you. I’m all done with your childish antics.

Nonsense is correct. Nobody gets everything they want. That’s bipartisan work. When no side is gleeful, it’s a pretty fair deal.

trump tanked what was almost a done deal. Repubs own the “open” border issue just in time for election season

Biden could revert back to Trump policies of remain in Mexico, stop abusing the parole process and several other policies that worked, period, full stop. The rot in Biden’s handling is very apparent.

He can't. Both the courts and the country of Mexico has said no to remain in Mexico.

The Senate border deal addressed parole.

Now that I believe is what is called a dog whistle.

Ultimately the republican side did have all of the momentum here in negotiations and got a bill that could be categorized as being historic relative to prior negotiations. The HR2 bill was a non serious exercise that had no chance of being taken up by the Senate, it was about messaging and unfortunately that’s the bread and butter of the current House.

Much of the supposed dreams of Republican border control essentially seems to build a castle, ship out the ones we don’t want and watch the world burn. Slightly ignores the interconnected nature of our whole “system” and importantly ignores the fact that we are not a manufacturing economy anymore, we have shifted to a service base with most of our manufacturing being done elsewhere.
Welcome to the PB, TNexplore.

Republican opposition isn’t really about border control. It’s about Ukraine. By blocking support for Ukraine, they’re giving their boy Putin a chance to get his pathetic military in gear.

Fuck off, no use trying to have an adult conversation with you. I’m all done with your childish antics.
You said basically the same thing last week. 😂
Just admit it… You like me (and others) embarrassing you for being an embarrassment to yourself.

Their position was Ukraine funding would not be considered without border security funding. This resulted, directly, in the Senate bill.

Republicans want performative political theater because their base is stupid.
