I came home earlier and there were these two little puppies running around the intersection by my house. I wanted to bring them home!

I have been so enjoying watching all three of my fur babies doing their things. The kittens chasing after birds or bugs or whatever. Luckily they seem to run from everyone, and will run up to me (which is soooo sweet! 
).
And I saw my nearly 8 year old Pitbull rescue with bad knees jump off the bed, race through the house into the kitchen because of a kitten squealing when I almost stepped on her. She sniffed the kitty all over to make sure she was okay. That just melted my heart. It was just a few days ago.
But today, she saw a cat in my yard through the french door. She growled a little, then ran into the bedroom, out through the doggie door, around the corner of the house, then diagonally across the back yard, barking and chasing after a kitty she saw in the yard. Of course, the cat had long since jumped up on top of the fence to safety, and then ran off.
In the 5 years I have had that dog, I have never seen her do that. She would run after a cat if she was outside, but run outside to chase one? Never.
It just is so wonderful to be able to watch of them follow their paths and develop their own unique personalities.
I already watched the kids grow up… the animals are far easier.

I tracked this down to post it on the Christmas movie thread, but it really is so well done…
If you have seen It’s A Wonderful Life…. This is the “lost ending”. Personally, I think it was the funniest thing on SNL after May of 1980…. Which was when Mt St Helens erupted. Coincidence?
