Over the years my kids have had it drilled into them that Santa has all the cash! If they wanted something big , they had to ask Santa, Mom and Dad don't have that kind of money. Now last year was the first year both my kids knew for sure about Santa, and in some ways it was the easiest yet hardest year to buy things for them.
Now that they knew, Mom had to figure out what to get them, they didnt need the big gift, little gift anymore, I could buy what ever for them, and I did. They each got loft beds! Now that was hard to wrap! lol Actually one got one and one is still on the way. We had to dig out her room to get it in there. (it is promised before this Christmas)
Both my kids get books, something musical, either CD's or music books for their keyboard or recorders. I always try to think of something they asked for earlier on in the year that they may have forgotten about...thats the hard one, cause usually I forget too. Both my kids get an orniment, my daughter, ballerinas, my son rocking horses. When they are old enough to have a tree where ever they are living, they will get their orniments, except their baby's first year one, they are MINE!
This year the big thing is taken care of, its for both of them. Books have been ordered, and now to get some clothes for them. Getting them things as they get older is so hard, how much make up does it take to fill a stocking anyway!? lol
