Yes it's rather funny. So are you at least a little into star trek?fieryjen said:Ah, thanks for the explanation.I'm probably not enough into Star Trek to have caught that. That's quite interesting.

You know what they say if you're lucky in love, right? Actually, I don't even know if that saying exists in Englishsupahspaz said:wanna go to VEGAS then? I need some luck there![]()

I watch an episode occasionally if S is watching... and I can tell some of the characters apart, but I usually don't make it a point of watching.ShyGuy68 said:Yes it's rather funny. So are you at least a little into star trek?

Ok, was just wondering. I recall watching lots of Star Trek on German TV, since that was the only way I could watch it. So I just had to live with the German synchronization.fieryjen said:I watch an episode occasionally if S is watching... and I can tell some of the characters apart, but I usually don't make it a point of watching.
fieryjen said:12²I think it's a pretty number. I love squares and cubes and all. When me and my dad went sailing in Turkey over the summer, I'd refer to the boats exclusively by sums of squares and cubes. There was 12²+2², and then we had 11²+1².. and so many others. All of them could be expressed as the sum of two squares or cubes, interestingly enough. It drove people crazy

This is very cool, Jen. And judging by what you've said before about your preferences, it fits.fieryjen said:#
There it is.
This is so not an excuse. You think you're the only one typing with one hand here?fieryjen said:Hey now, I'm trying to bake here too... and I'm typing with one hand. You're sure not getting any cookies now.![]()
fieryjen said:*sulks* I'm the only one who's all excited about page 144. Fine then. Be mathematically disinclined.

Synchronization is usually so bad... now that I've been in the States for a while and I can watch movies in the original without any trouble comprehending, I hate synchronized shit even more. It always takes away so much quality.ShyGuy68 said:Ok, was just wondering. I recall watching lots of Star Trek on German TV, since that was the only way I could watch it. My math teacher was so enamored with a certain formula that he wrote it into the drying concrete of our newly built science building.bighornedsatyr said:Well since others are throwing out important numbers, let me add this: 1729. Seems as if you should like it.
I've always liked e^(pi i), just for weirdness. Or (sqrt(5)-1)/2.
Thank you. Happy to hear you like itrootsfan said:This is very cool, Jen. And judging by what you've said before about your preferences, it fits.

I've always rather liked 3125, since my favorite number is 5.Glyndwr said:~lol~ Hi jen
This made me laugh. I think people do get a number blindness, similar to dyslexia. I can tend to spot number patterns, a little like your square numbers on the boats, and then get really frustrated when other people can't. Things like the popular squares & cubes leap off the page, BTW my fav is 169![]()
