Thank you :rose: The itching and swelling started so suddenly and was so acute that I don't think it was stress. I almost though they were insect bites, but the locations didn't make sense. The insect would have had to jump from one arm to the other and from my wrist to my upper arm.
new detergent? or lotion? just be careful sweetheart

Thank you, for both congratulations.

No, I haven't had any new lotion lately. I've already been trying to figure out what it might have been - my health insurance is crap and I don't want to go see a doctor unless I have to. But if I can't figure it out and these things keep swelling up, I might have to.

Me doing dishes earlier. Again, the swollen finger fucking hurt. It still does... and it's getting bigger instead of smaller, which worries me.

Lucky dishes!

Congrats!

Congrats on your wedding! We had similar challenges with both sets of parents being very far away and the logistic would have been crazy...and we were pretty determine to get married on a specific date (the date we met)...so we did a civic union with a justice of peace at a park with two of our closest friends. it was casual and yet romantic. we all went for pizza and wine after! then we called our parents and told them about the wedding!

hope your fingers get better...what did you do to them? oh and thanks for the post ... fat fingers and all...like what you wear (or don't wear) when you do dishes!

It was a warm day. I tend to do that :)

S had to actively prevent me from running around the apartment naked when the blinds are open. If not for him, half of our neighbors probably would have seen me naked already.

My place is somewhat like that... I've gotten to the point where I don't care anymore...

If I can bring a little fun to someone else's day...

;)

And congrats on the wedding thing...

;)

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the whole marriage thing.. but if it works for you and S, more power to you!

Congrats!!

My parents just went to the courthouse and signed the license. That's all. My mother didn't like being the center of attention, so they just went home the next day and broke the news: "By the way..."

She's admitted that she'll live through me and has no qualm paying for a fairly big festive wedding, because that's what she'd want me to have. My mom is very sweet that way. I don't really have any problems having the big party much later than the actual signing of the license. That way, a lot of the pressure is off and I'll be able to enjoy it much more.

that sounds like such a fun way to do it! i like your approach. having a big party to take the pressure off the ceremonial part of the wedding is cool. i never wanted church-type weddings...afraid my head would do a 360 like in the Exorcist!

Congrats again! am very happy for you!

Thank you.

I always said that if I got married at all, it wasn't going to be until my late twenties. Yeah, that worked real well...

But I probably would have waited a few years more if it wasn't for this whole permanent residency thing. It's really a pain in the ass to live in a country if you can't work and you're in fear of getting kicked out. I'll be glad once that is over.

And, I love S. I feel like he is the man I want to spend my life with. When I first met him, I didn't think I'd even be able to get his attention. I've never met anyone who was willing to do so much for me, who was so open and ready to change. We have our moments, naturally, but we've had such a strong relationship so far.

Well I'll do it the other way round... that way I can concentrate on the ceremony and enjoy it without having to worry about party logictics, and then when we celebrate, it's just for fun and there's not as much pressure, because technically we've already been married for a while.

As mentioned, S' mom is not happy about the entire thing. Although she's already aware that I'm agnostic, I can tell you that she'll react fairly dramatically once I reveal the fact that I don't plan to set foot in a church for my wedding or convert to catholicism. She wanted him to marry a nice catholic virgin, basically, and now that that's not happening, I'm really afraid she'll take it out on me.

Maybe I'm being too harsh on her, I don't know. maybe she'll come around once she realized she won't be able to change our minds about it. I'd really be happy if she and I got along better, I hate playing into the whole "evil mother-in-law" thing.

If you don't mind... what country are you in now and what country are you from?

Thanks....

So there's been a lot going on, one of which is the fact that I've been breaking out in weird hives on my arms and hands. One of my fingers is swollen, and I have no clue what it's from. So if there are any stratge things going on with my arms in some of these pics, that's what it's from. It really fucking hurts, too.

Like here, yes, my finger's swollen. This isn't a naked pic, just one S took of me a few minutes ago. I'm sitting on the couch with my favorite of his sweaters, just trying to be comfortable while my arms are itching.
I'm sorry that you aren't doing well Jen. *hugs*
