Hello geeky medievalist, never thought I'll meet one after I left university - and certainly not here!

And the "nekkid swordsman" wasn't a clue? We've gotta hang out somewhere, so why not here?

I did some "medieval English" during my studies, but I have to admit, that I forgot quite a lot of it. But it was very nice to read some of that stuff again - always makes me feel as if my studies were not completely in vain.

Fun stuff. I think I've had two years of ME and half a year of OE. Once I get Latin down to where I can read it with a dictionary near to hand and I brush up on my OE, it's time to teach myself Old Norse (for fun and profit!).

So you are at university? Studying some linguistic stuff or do you do it only just for your own pleasure? Mind you I studied English and therefore had to do some OE or ME, but it surely wasn't my favourite part of the studies. On the other hand it was far from being the worst, as I did History, too, and was lucky to have a teacher who lectured English history, so some knowledge of ME came in handy.
BTW how do you plan to make a profit out of ME, OE or ON?
