Is there any team in the NHL that isn't?Note2 : Florida Panthers is an NHL team formed mostly by Canadians
De Santis seems to think that Florida Panthers is mostly formed by US players....Is there any team in the NHL that isn't?
It’s to late you already have stated that your not our best friend….shit I’m not even sure you think we are a friend at all…..I do everything I can now to avoid purchasing US products and it will be a long damn time until I spend any vacation money in the US. And believe me I am one of millions not only in Canada that are doing the same. Truly a shame that a long long friendship can be destroyed by one power hungry felon. Fuck you Trump.Go for it. You get what you pay for. As well, Australia is pretty far away. Our radar is better and closer. Expanding it would not only be economical it would allow you to expand the protection we already provide you.
But go ahead. Create an enemy of your best friend. You be you.
ongoing Boycott is picking up yet more steam as latest OAG data indicates how Canadian bookings for US travel scheduled for the next 6 months (until September 2025) is down 70% !!!!

Given how flights are typically booked at least 2 months in advance, most went on with their "prescheduled" plans so initial statistics only indicated about a 10% drop however now we're starting to see the real effects of this boycott.
A few weeks ago, Florida Governor mocked our 2025 boycott by referring to 2024 statistics.
You can't make this shit up!
I look forward to hearing DeSantis 2025 report on Florida tourism at the end of the year.
Note1 : Canadian Snowbirds typically spend 4 to 6 months vacationing each year. I wonder how many local 'tourists' can afford to stay that long in Florida?
Note2 : Florida Panthers is an NHL team formed mostly by Canadians, including Sam Reinhart who scored the decisive wining goal at the 2024 Stanley Cup Final.
It's not only in Florida, check out Arizona's real estate listings. And Canadian snowbirds are selling their homes in Florida. The construction industry is a huge part of Florida’s economy, so that could have an impact.

Damn you know Canadians are serious when grocery stores are being investigated for false labelling of American products as Canadian....
"Grocery stores are not the only ones under scrutiny. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) also told the broader food industry in mid-March that it has seen a rise in complaints about claims on food labels and advertisements, saying labels must be clear and honest.
"This is a reminder that making false or misleading claims about a food's origin is against Canada's food laws and can damage consumer confidence," the agency said on March 14."
Yah we're pissed....

I'd say it shows how deep the rift is, when we're looking to minimise ANY American product. Even if the product is shipped raw,and it's processed here, people are not willing to buy it. To me,that mentality is a bit too far. After all processing in Canada is Canadian jobs. I'm all for fucking over Trump, but a blanket purchase ban on anything American is going to hurt us as much. I say, pick the items that hurt America, like Oil and Tourism and go from there. Some of them have apparently been saying "packaged in Canada" but the ingredients are from the US and Canadians are jumping on that too. Going to be tough for Canadian supermarkets.

It's not about replacing the crude,it's about retrofitting the refineries to American sweet crude. Not cheap and will take years. The oil might hurt until the US is back to pumping at full force again.
Mexico’s GDP is $1.8 trillion a year. Its exports to the United States are $506 billon a year. Exports to the USA make up 28% of its economy.Care to bet on April 2nd?
In the end, the whole point of the tariffs is to tell the world to stop price gouging America. Instead of going along with that you lot decided to fuck yourselves, because Trump.
Mexico’s GDP is $1.8 trillion a year. Its exports to the United States are $506 billon a year.Exports to the USA make up 28% of its economy.
Exports to Mexico make up less than 2% of our $27.7 trillion GDP.
Canada’s GDP is $2.1 trillion. Its exports to the USA are $413 billion a year. Exports to the USA make up 19% of its economy.
Exports to Canada are less than 2% of our GDP.
What are we betting on?

The rest of your post is waste to read, hell you can't even get the first point right.
You are economically illiterate.
Tariffs have nothing to do with other countries “price gouging” America! Americans buy foreign goods because they are a better value (cheaper), the exact opposite of price gouging.
And besides, the US had a trade surplus with Canada in everything except oil and gas. Were we “price gouging” them? No.
Lol, says the guy who doesn't understand that the reason those offshore goods are so cheap is because those foreign nations TARIFF THE FUCK out of US goods to keep their domestically produced goods lower in cost.
Let's take your basic run of the mill Chevy as an example. The US makes the car and tries to export it to Germany. Germany makes BMW's which is exports to the US. For the sake of this example; let's assume both cost the same to produce and have the same retail market price prior to any governmental markups. (fees, licenses, taxes, etc.)
Germany tariffs the Chevy at 10%.
The US tariffs the BMW at 2.5%.
That means that the end cost to the consumer is 10% higher for the Chevy in Germany. A frugal consumer will buy the BMW, even in the US, because it's cheaper since Chevy will have to increase the price on all cars across the board to help offset the German tariffs.
This costs US consumers more money at the cash register. It also costs US workers jobs and income/salary/benefits.
So, those of you who are supporting foreign countries in the tariff debate are actually hurting your friends and neighbors financially. And that hurts you indirectly because it drives YOUR consumer costs higher. Worse, you're doing it merely because Trump and TDS.
Which SHOULD tell you how fucking dum you are. But it won't. Instead you'll find some economist who is just as deranged as you are to cite and say that I'm wrong because an "expert" says so.
Even though we both know I'm not.
Hahaha. The economically illiterate MAGA sheep desperately spouted gibberish to deflect from his stupid statement that other nations “price gouge” America.
Actual truth: Trump’s tariffs will drive up prices on all goods in America by eliminating foreign competition. Less competition = higher prices and lower quality.
The reality is that without foreign competition, domestic prices go DOWN as producers profits rise. Wages rise as a result too.
The unseen/not discussed part is that without foreign market financial manipulation (high foreign tariffs), domestic goods get better because they don't have to have a reduced price point to equal the lower foreign goods prices. Producers don't have to cut manufacturing costs to price under market value, so that after the tariffs are added onto their product it costs the same as the domestically manufactured ones.
That we don't put export taxes on crude oil. 60% comes from Canada...not to mention Trump made us enemies, from friends you dumbfuck. *chuckles*Mexico’s GDP is $1.8 trillion a year. Its exports to the United States are $506 billon a year.Exports to the USA make up 28% of its economy.

Depends , most midwestern run Canadian crude. Most of the southern ones run sweet crude. For export. You're just too stupid to understand that Canadian crude is cheaper to buy and make US fuels, than to run US crude for domestic supply. Since the Oil companies make more profit exporting domestic oils and refined products and refining imported Canadian crude that is sold at 10% below market price, as defined in the USMCA trade deal Trump signed in 2018.... But keep fucking around and you might find out.Seems like Trump's finally starting to understand that he's fucking up his own dealReally?
And what do you think American refineries are processing now?
Think about what you just wrote....think hard....Because we sure as hell aren't importing more than we export.
lol, go up and read what you wrote above....think hard on it. Which makes more money for a corporation, buying cheaper crude oil than you can produce yourself, while selling off the better more expensive crude to other markets who pay high a higher premium....Basically, you're fucked in the head when it comes to international trade literacy so it's no wonder you couldn't follow along with the rest of the class.
