Canada's Boycott of USA: full steam ahead

A dozen or so others will be along in a few minutes to say, "We told you so!"

Meanwhile, the felon cut off intelligence-gathering access to Ukraine as an enticement to capitulate to Putin. Putin rained down terror on civilians again, given the green light by Trump.

The blood of those who died is on Trump's hands, no matter what MAGA supporters say about it.
What has that to do with Canada?

I have been to Montreal in winter. I have friends in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto, and my husband has a real close buddy from his USMC days in Montreal (Kahnawake Mohawk Territory - he's Mohawk) and Montreal in winter is COLD, or it was when we were there. As in, really really really cold. As in, no block heater, your battery dies cold. As in, we went to watch a hockey game on the reservation and everyone leaves their cars and trucks running outside to stop them from freezing. As in, remote starters so you can start your car up 15 minutes ahead of time so you don't turn into a popsicle when you jump in, and you have the heat on full, you're wearing a down jacket, and you're still freezing. I think when we were there is was -35C and add wind-chill on top of that. So yeah, going outside to plug in the block heater would be true devotion.

And as for Trump - they are bugged as all heck - most of them thought Trump would be good for the US, and they intend to vote Conservative in the next Cdn elections, but every single one of them is no longer buying anything from the US. It's not a huge market - basically California sized - but they do import a lot and that's all going. Alcohol being stripped of shelves isn't the half of it, and it's all sorts of things they export that are getting extra 25% cost slapped on them - potash is just one. Electricity - they are a huge supplier to some of the northern states. Nickel is another - Canada supplies about half of the nickel that the U.S. uses today and it's a critical material in the defence and aerospace industries. The only other big nickel supplier is Russia - and Europe by itself could suck up all the nickel Canada produces. Ontario Premier Doug Ford is threatening to cease the supply of nickel to the U.S..... go figure

Thing is, they're all bugged with Trump goung yes no maybe okay not this month next month and then making noises about adjusting the border and using economic coercion etc etc etc. They're just saying fuck it, you want tariffs, here they are, and we can export our minerals and oil and gas and lumber to Europe and Asia so go suck dick. Next thing will be more pipelines to the Atlantic and Pacific coasts and their oil and gas will be off to Europe and China instead of heading south to our refineries and Canada does sell us oil more cheaply.
What did you do with chloe?

Carney is a superior choice to that twat PP.

Go compare their resumes. No contest.
My vote will be based on a comparison of policies. Trudeau's top financial advisor's results speak for themselves.

Government is formed by a group of people. Carney's cabinet will basically be a Trudeau 2.0 cabinet, no thanks!

Just remember:

The majority (a minority, actually) of "Americans" were convinced / gaslighted into "thinking" that the liberals were the problem, so they voted for the "conservatives"…

Oops…

😳

😑

Don’t be a Canadian MAGAt (a gullible fool who "thinks" the rich conservatives who are TOTALLY in the pocket of the wealthy and corporations will be better for the economy or the country.

Learn from America’s mistake (DonOld and the conservative republicans.)

Trump is no conservative, his policies are all over the map. His obsession with Protectionism and Tariffs sound like a page straight out of the defunct USSR's strategy pocket book.

There's no such thing as a Canadian MAGAt, comparing US politics to Canada politics is like comparing apples and oranges.

Um, Canada definitely has some MAGAts (See: Some Canadian posters right here on the PB).

And some Canadian politicians strongly supported DonOld up until the tariffs, etc, so…

It really doesn’t take much to go from “conservative” to MAGAt, as we in the U.S. have found out.

Please don’t fuck around like the U.S. did when the "conservative" party sold out their country for personal enrichment and political survival.

TIA.

Fewer hoes? This is a true disaster.

My husband says the Quebecois strippers from Montreal are the best, and cutting back on them will have a serious impact on morale at our military bases, and Mimi was the best....

I'm sure Hegseth is aware of this though.

BTW, what's the best way to dispose of a recently deceased body?

In the bathtub.
First dissolve the organic components with a strong acid. I recommend safety goggles, gloves and good ventilation or a self-contained protective mask. Leave the acid to work until the tissue is dissolved. Then rinse with plenty of water. But be careful, expect strong heat development when diluting.
Dissolve the non-organic components, bones, with lye and also rinse down.

I hope I have been able to help you solve your problem.

This is interesting… I don’t think this has been done before:

“While Carney will take over immediately as Liberal Party leader, Trudeau will remain as Canada’s prime minister for an as-yet undisclosed transitional period while his successor settles in.”

As governor of the Bank of England at the time of Brexit Mark Carney wanted UK to remain in the EU which is a protectionist bloc with a very high tariff and bureaucratic barrier at its perimeter.

I think most agree staying would have been the smart move.
