We'll tape the calendar to his ass then and throw the darts.cloudy said:Mine won't get off his fucking ass, since it's not a new toy for him.

I can only imagine his reply to that.cloudy said:maybe if I threw knives at him, he'd get up off his ass.
Told him earlier to just forget the new car. "Why?" he says.
"Because it seems to be too much fucking trouble for you to bother to go two miles down the street to look at one. I'd hate to make you walk all the way out to the car in the driveway, sit on your ass some more, and then walk a few feet to look at a car. What was I thinking?"

Pffft. That's nothing encouraging.ABSTRUSE said:a new car,,,,,,duh.
Maybe he's checking his balls?cloudy said:if he replied, I didn't hear it. Walked out of the room and haven't been back since.

cloudy said:okay, this is the newest candidate: a 2002 Lexus ES300, but in "blue onyx pearl" (only 40K miles!)

anyone have one? Know anything about them?
Edward Teach said:Can't go wrong with a Lexus.
Might want to check out the Infinity, however. More recent ones are as good and will save you some money.
cloudy said:Not particularly concerned with saving "his" money right now.
I found an Infinity I liked, but he liked the Lexus better...go figure.
The other one he liked was a 2002 Mercedes C320...about the same price, but I figure that when something needed to be worked on, the Lexus would be the better car.
Heres the MB:

Edward Teach said:Mercedes will cost you a fortune to have worked on and I think you will find the Lexus E or Infinity G superior to the MB C.

bumping because I'm still looking.
The newest candidate is a 2002 Lincoln LS, same color as this one:

I really, really like it.
Low miles, no wrecks, private party sale, and it's so loaded with....stuff that it would take me weeks to learn how to use it all.
Anyone had one?
A quick look at Edmunds consumer reviews looked pretty good. Most people that have them like them. Not to many bad reviews. And as a rule of thumb, people are much more apt to go out a write a review if they don't like something than if they do.
I'd go for one with the V8 as opposed to the V6. From what I remember the V6 was a pretty pokey (unless you they the manual which almost no one did) and the milage wasn't much better than the 8.
I have a Cadillac STS right now, and I hate it. Don't get me wrong, it's a great car, been as dependable as anything else I've owned, if not more so....but, my mom drives a Cadillac, ya know?
