Carnal Instincts (closed)

Camilla knew they wouldn't be able to trust each other right away, and she also knew Monday was coming up soon, and she didn't know if she could trust herself to leave Kailey alone. School was her turf, and having a new girl at school was one of her favorite things.

Camilla went into the bathroom after Kailey left, seeing that she'd neatened things up. Good. She hated a mess, and would have thrown that shit out. Camilla took a hot shower, feeling some of the tension seep out of her body. When she got out, she called her masseuse. She told her she needed an appointment in an hour, and of course, Camilla got what Camilla wanted.

She got dressed in a pair of red Juicy sweatpants and a black tank top, over a black bra and black boyshort panties. She did her hair and make-up, and went into her room. "Thanks for cleaning up." she grabbed her phone and purse, and then had a thought. "Want to come with me to my massage appointment?"

Kailey pulled out her laptop and headphones, and relaxed on the window seat while Camilla was in the shower. She turned up her music loud, listening to a play list of Bob Dylan, Widespread Panic, Dave Matthews and The Grateful Dead. She watched looked out the window zoning out of the world around her, the cool breeze blowing into the bedroom.

She looked up though when Camilla walked back into the bedroom and thanked her for cleaning up. "yeah" she said, about to turn her music back up when she invited her to her massage appointment.

That would be awesome, and it would help get all the kinks out before her private tryout for the soccer team the next day during lunch at school. "You're serious?" she asked raising an eyebrow. "that would be great actually".

"Yeah, I'm serious. My dad pays for my masseuse to be ready for me at any call. I know, pretty posh. But I play sports and cheerlead, so I usually need it. And I know you play soccer, so it would help." she smiled. She really meant that one; she knew what it was like to do exercise with tense muscles.

Kailey followed her to her car, and they got in. "You can pick a CD or plug my iPod in if you want. Passenger always gets music choice." she knew they liked the same music, her dad had told her that much. She hoped that they could find other things they both liked, and not everything would be a big fight.

She pulled up to Maria's building. It was a small, white brick building, with a red roof. It was neat and tidy on the outside, and crazy busy on the inside. They walked inside, and Maria was waiting for her. "I brought my...uh...my soon-to-be step-sister." she whispered to Maria. "My father will pay for it." Maria smiled and got Lila from the back, who took Kailey into the second room.

"You seem stressed out." Maria said, before Camilla had even laid down on the massage table. She got undressed behind the curtain, and put on the little gown.

"Yeah, it's been a hard few days."

Kailey smiled, tossing her phone and wallet into her purse and grabbing her Ray-Ban aviators as they walked out the door and downstairs to Camilla's car. She sucked on her lip piercing, her eyebrows raised slightly as she looked through Camilla's iPod, surprised to find a lot of the same music she had on hers. She hit shuffle and rolled down her window as Camilla drove them to her masseuse.

Camilla parked and the girls walked into the small building and walked up to the reception desk where Camilla explained that Kailey would need a massage too. She was introduced to Lila and followed her into one of the rooms with a massage table and screen for her to change behind. She pulled her hair up into a messy knot on the back of her head and slid out of her clothes, wrapping the sheet around her before walking to the table and getting onto it.

Before Lila's hands even touched her, Kailey started to relax, her breathing slowing down, forcing herself to de-stress.

Camilla and Maria talked a little bit as she started the massage, but as usual, Camilla drifted off into relaxation, and she stopped talking. Maria had magic hands, and that's why her dad never even spoke of how much he paid for Camilla to recieve her massages. It was worth it, every penny. Camilla had once brought a boyfriend to recieve a massage from Maria, and he'd never jostled her about her weekly massages ever again.

She figured Lila was making Kailey just as happy in the next room, considering she didn't hear Kailey's voice at all.

When they were done, Camilla got dressed again, and thanked Maria. Kailey came out, and Camilla thanked Lila too. They left, and once they were back in the car, Camilla asked Kailey if she was hungry.

Kailey had received a few massages before this, but she couldn't believe how amazing Lila's hands made her body feel. She was going to have to talk to her mom about getting setup like Camilla was for massages every week.

All too soon though, the massage was over and Kailey was walking back behind the screen, and putting her clothes back on. She took her hair down and shook it out, thanking Lila as she lead her back to the entrance of the building.

She handed Lila a tip before she and Camilla walked out and got back into her car. They drove a few minutes before Camilla asked if she was hungry. She hadn't really paid any attention to it but she was starving. All she'd had all day was a cup of coffee. "Yeah, starving actually" she replied, turning Camilla's iPod back on.

The music blasted as soon as Kailey confirmed she too was hungry. Camilla headed towards Jaques'. Jaques' was a cute little restaraunt owned by one of Jackson's friends. Jacques was a sweet French man who never had any children, and loved Camilla dearly.

"You can find anything you want to eat on the menu, and if it's not on there, he'll make it for you." Camilla said, laughing. In a way, it was nice to have someone to hang out with besides Amanda. Amanda and she didn't have that much in common, except anger.

They pulled into the parking lot and got out. It wasn't too busy inside, and they were seated instantly. Camilla could see the waiter go and tell Jacques that she was there, and he hurried over to greet them and take their order.

Kailey smiled slightly when Camilla told her about Jacque's. She wasn't really sure what she was in the mood for, so it sounded great. She sat back against the seat, her body so relaxes, her muscles loose and ready for her tryout tomorrow.

They pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant and walked in. They were taken to a table right away and given menus, and told the Jacque would be out in a minute. It smelled great inside the restaurant as Kailey started looking through the menu, trying to decide what to order.

She looked up as a man, whom she could only assume was Jacque approached their table.

Jaques introduced himself to Kailey, and they all chatted for a while. Jaques asked a lot of questions, which made Camilla realize she and Kailey hadn't talked to each other or their parents anywhere near enough.

After a while, he took their order and left. Camilla smiled awkwardly, "Guess we need to do some serious talking, huh?"

Kailey set her things next to her in the booth she and Camilla had been lead to, smiling and shaking Jaques' hand when Camilla introduced them. She hadn't expected him to ask questions, and she really hadn't expected to be unable to answer so many of them.

She felt kind of bad for being such a brat when her mom had obviously found someone she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. Why wasn't she happier for her? Neither Camilla nor Kailey knew any plans about the wedding, when where, how big-nothing.

She looked through the menu as Camilla ordered her lunch. Kailey finally decided on iced tea, a side salad and chicken parmesan sandwich. The girls both smiled and thanked Jaques as he excused himself before leaving them to talk while he went back into the kitchen.

"Yeah, looks that way" she said, brushing her bangs from her face.

"I mean, I really am a bitch, and I don't like you any more than you like me, but we're stuck in this situation together. We can at least, like I said, be civil in the house. Considering we can either create a hurricaine, or we can make it calm, I think it would be nice for both us and the parents if we got on at least friendly terms."

She looked at Kailey before continuuing,

"If we're going to live together, we should maybe establish some rules or something? I can tell you keep your feelings bottled up, but can you at least talk to me about how you're feeling a little?" she looked at Kailey seriously.

"That makes sense" Kailey said, agreeing with Camilla's points. "For that to work though, I'm gonna need some space in our room for my things or there's no deal though" she added, wanting to make it known she wasn't going to let Camilla walk all over her.

"I think I can safely say I'm feeling exactly like you are for the most part. I mean, I've never had to share anything, and all of a sudden I'm being pulled out of my home, and forced to share a room with another girl. I have to go to a new school my last year of high school, and I'm not going to get to see my boy friend like I did every day when he lived just around the corner."

She looked back at Camilla, not really sure what to expect now.

Camilla listened, and listened well. She knew that was important, especially now. When Kailey was done talking, she looked up at Camilla, obviously awaiting her response,

"Of course. We'll get a dresser and maybe another bookshelf in the next couple of days and we'll work it out. That was already the plan. And yeah, I can understand that. But you'll still get to see him; he seems like he really cares about you." she paused, "And I think if we set up some rules, maybe when we get home, things will go smoother. Including that you can have your boyfriend over whenever, as long as you let me know first. That's fair, right?" she smiled.

They talked a little bit more, and then their food came. A really hot waiter whom Camilla had never seen before brought the food. He leant down and whispered in her ear, "Jacques wants to talk to you." His lips brushed her ear as he pulled away, and she didn't know if it was intentional or not.

"One sec. Jacques wants me." she smiled at Kailey, and walked to the back, where the hot waiter said, "My name is Gabe. You're Camilla. And Jaques really does want to talk to you, but not before I do this." he grabbed her by the waist, kissed her, and walked out to leave her shocked, touching her lips.

Jacques came in from outside, smiling. "I see you've met Gabe. He's new working here, but I've known him for a long time. He's a good kid. I know you have a lot of trouble with boys; you won't with this one, okay?" he smiled and led her out of the kitchen.

"Oh my God, you won't believe what just happened." Camilla gushed to Kailey as she sat down, grabbing her fork.

Kailey nodded, agreeing with everything Camilla had just said. It really all did sound reasonable. "Yeah that sounds fair" she said as a really attractive waiter brought them their food.

She raised an eyebrow as he whispered into Camilla's ear and led her from the table, back towards the door to the kitchen. She started eating her salad and added a pack of sugar to her iced tea, watching Camilla as she sat back down at the table, her cheeks bright pink, a smile across her face.

"What?" she asked in reponse to Camilla, setting her fork down.

"That guy introduced himself to me, and brought me to talk to Jacques, and then he kissed me!" she was whispering loudly, not wanting Gabe to hear her. "Then Jacques gave me this little speech about how he'll be good for me and how he's a good boy. I don't even know him, though!"

She hoped Kailey wouldn't think she was a slut for letting Gabe kiss her.

What the fuck? Since when do I care what she thinks?

"I hope Johnny doesn't know him. That would make Johnny mad if I started dating one of his friends."

Kailey couldn't believe what Camilla was saying to her. She smiled a little and took a sip of her tea. She already had a boyfriend didn't she?

"That's crazy" she said picking up her fork, listenining to the rest of what Camilla said. "Well, at least get his number" she said to her. "Who knows."

Camilla could tell Kailey was smiling, and not in a good way.

"Johnny's not my boyfriend. I'm single. We used to date, and now we're just friends. We kiss sometimes. But he's not my boyfriend." she didn't know why she was explaining herself, but it might help later, so that Kailey didn't say anything to either of the guys.

"Yeah, I'm sure he'll give it to me. So, tell me about YOUR boyfriend." she ate another bite, and thought again how lucky she was to know about this place.

Kailey raised an eyebrow slightly when Camilla said the guy she'd gone out with the night before wasn't her boyfriend. "Makes sense" she said picking up her fork to finish her salad.

She smiled a little bit when Camilla told her to talk about her boyfriend. "Well, we've grown up together, like half a block apart and we've gone to school together all our lives. We both play soccer and we're going to college together next year, at least, that's what we're planning seeing we're still waiting to hear back from schools." she said, hoping everything would work out for them.

She looked at Camilla and took another sip of her iced tea.

Camilla smiled as Kailey told her all about her boyfriend and her. "Umm, wow. Never been that close to a guy before." she smiled and took another small bite of her food.

"You'll get in. Trust me. No matter where you applied." she winked, "Stay on my good side, and Daddy will make any calls for you."

Gabe came over with another drink for both the girls, and sat down in a chair next to Camilla. "You gonna give me your number or make me work for it?" he grinned and handed her his phone. She typed her number in and he got up, "Thanks doll."

"I'm crazy about him" Kailey said taking a bite of her sandwich, wiping her mouth with her napkin. "Everything seems perfect when we're together" she added.

She smiled. "that would be awesome if your dad could help" she said nodding.

Both girls noticed Gabe walk over to their table again, smiling as he sat down. Kailey excused herself so they could talk and went to the bathroom, taking her purse and cellphone with her.

She texted Mikey "Things are going alot better today...its weird" before checking her missed calls and washing her hands. She walkd back to the table as Gabe was getting up.

Gabe smiled at Kailey as he walked away, and Camilla finished what she wanted with her food. She pulled out some money, and slid it into the check book. "You ready?" she looked at Kailey, who had just returned from the bathroom.

"Thanks. He just wanted my number, but that was very cool of you. Most of my friends aren't smooth like that." she laughed as she waited for Kailey to pick up her things, "They can be real bitches sometimes."

Kailey and Camilla's phones both rang at the same time, and they both glanced down. "Dad." Camilla said, at the same time Kailey said,

"Mom."

They both answered their phones, and after only a minute, both hung up to tell each other that the respective parent wanted them home. They wanted a "family" meeting.

"Family." Camilla muttered to herself as they got into her car and drove home.

Kailey smiled as she sat back down at the table. She finished her iced tea and nodded when Camilla asked if she was ready to go. The girls got up from the table and said goodbye to Jaque and Gabe as they walked out of the resturant.

They were almost to Camilla's car when both girl's phones started ringing. It was their parents. "Great" she said answering the phone. "Hi Mom" she said sweetly. She rolled her eyes and finished her conversation at nearly the same time Camilla finished hers. "This should be fun" she said sarcastically as the girls got into Camilla's car and drove home.

A few minutes later, they were parking in the driveway and walking in the house, meeting their parents in the living room. Kailey sat down on the floor, leaning against the couch her mom was sitting on, wondering what was going on.

Kailey and Camilla both sat down in the living room, and the parents looked at each other and then Jackson started to talk, "You guys need to know more, so that it will be easier to adjust." He started in on a long and boring talk about why he had moved on, and what an amazing woman Kailey's mom was. It went on and on until Camilla heard "rules."

"What?" she hissed.

"You and Kailey need to set up some rules, with each other, so that there isn't fighting and problems in the house. Is that clear?" Jackson asked.

"Yes, daddy."

"Good. Now you two go to your room." Camilla sighed and walked up the stairs to her room.

Kailey pulled out her phone and started texting occasionally while Jackson talked to them about what had happened and why everything seemed so sudden. She rolled her eyes when her mom nuged her to pay attention.

She raised an eyebrow when he told them to go up to their room and come up with some rules so they could coexist peacefully. She had never been sent to her room, and looked up at her mom, hoping they weren't serious.

When her mom gave her the glare she knew they were serious and shook her head as she got up, following Camilla up the stairs.

Camilla pulled out a notebook, "Since they're being douches, I think we're going to have to do this to make them happy. And probably really do it, too. But I think it can turn out positively. We'll try not to get in each other's hair, right?"

She sat down at her desk, and turned her chair so she could see Kailey. "What kinds of things do you think we should put down? Stuff like... Ilike my own stuff. I don't want it touched or moved, unless you ask first. Anything I tell you you can use, unless I say otherwise, you can only use it once. And don't have any guys in here without telling me first..." she paused, "Come on, help me out here."
