Freezing rain is decently common and can be extremely dangerous due to black ice (invisible ice on the road. I had to get my rear bumper repaired once because of it.
Other than that, the weather is beautiful! It stays warm here for a good part of the year.

I agree with Limely. Most of the weather we get in the Piedmont is ice or freezing rain. Discretion is definitely the better part of valor during winter around here!

You are also in the middle ground between Raleigh - SSCN, TMG, TECKC (mostly made up of former members of TTC) - and Charlotte - CAPEX, munch group only LinX.
There is a dungeon in the Fayetteville area, out toward the coast.

Just found out that we'll be moving in the spring. I don't even begin to know where yet.
This means that i'll be leaving my home.... the area that I love.... and the house that I've spent weeks and much stress renovating.

A somewhat sigh of relief..... his orders will be to Raleigh. I'll still be leaving my home and the beach... but Raleigh is a nice city, with things around to do.
Now to just start looking for a decent area, schools, etc. At least I have time.

It is a beautiful area. My sister lived in Cary for a time. And N.C. State is there so nice to be close to Agricultural college for the state.

As for MsM thinking of going to do boro.... Well, i'm only around 20ish miles away from there. It used to have a pretty big scene back in the late 80's and through the 90's there. When the Paris parties and the winston/greensboro rave scene died, so did the majority of the kink. Now it's mostly a bunch of renfaire swingers that make me cringe and your basic run of the mill college (UNCG) experimenters. I can definitely say after studying music at UNCG for awhile in the early 90's that if you go to UNCG you are going to graduate gay or at the very least bisexual.
I myself wound up preferring to be a heavy handed omnisexual with a good tongue. Tate St and Elm/Eugene St will be your main places for digging around the kink. Just be warned that the emo/goth scene is annoyingly fucking big. Although, I can't be too upset with them because I love to see the mascara run as they cry. <crawls into the shadows to sleep>

Hi! I've been living about 140 miles east of Raleigh for the last 9 years on the beautiful Crystal Coast. I travel up there often for theater and concerts, etc - but have never lived there.nctoddmc said:
