Yep, I'm from "down east" as it is sometimes called (though I have been informed and scolded that this term is exclusive to Maine or some other New England state). I'm in Craven County.

Good to see there are others online from the eastern part of NC. Nice to meet you in this cyber way.
 
Wicked thunderstorm passing over my area now. I usually enjoy thunderstorms and the lightening show, but a couple of the claps of thunder have even made me jump. Hope we don't get any hail. I just had my car repaired from prior hail damage a few months back.

I wish it would start to rain here... over in Onslow Co. The air is so thick, it sticks to you when you go outside.

Hey, AboutFace! Good to see you, too. I have sort of been missing in action lately.

Our storm didn't last long, but it sounds like we may be getting another wave. I need to run some errands and don't want to do them in the pooring rain. Need to get that grass mowed, too. (I am just sooooo exciting! *rolls eyes*)

Not that I'm trying to discourage you from posting here or nuttin', but you might have better luck with finding someone in the "personals" section. This thread long ago lost its original purpose and therefore moved over to the playgound.

Then again, I could be wrong (though infrequently). :D

Anywho, welcome to Lit. We always like to see Carolina folks posting (but how would I know; I'm rarely around anymore!).
