uh, what do you mean ninja don't get in close combat?
sure, they have suriekens, but their just as close combat as a samurai.... besides, if you're a DAMN good samurai, you have mad skills, and wont be killed by another Samurai, and most likely no other ninja, ninja have different skills, and theway i see it, if the Samurai is exuipped when attacked, the Ninja has no chance LOL but unarmed.... well he probably will get shitkicked....
Ninja could spike him with a suriken from a tree though.... may not kill him, and if the first one doesn't then the ninja's screwed again....

Your going off of storys and legends. I was speacking reality. On ninja trick was a flint lock pistol that was made to look like a sword in a sheeth. The samurai draws his sword and the ninaj pulls out this baby. The samurai finds a bulet in his chest and the Ninja runs like crazzy just incase some one else herd the shot. Also stabing people in the back another trick.
Real Ninjas where ruthless assains not warriors with honor. The samurai may be well trained but they still are front line soldeirs and lived the life of cannon fodder.
Don't worry I know none of these facts deal with this story, and I'll write as such.

That may not be true Cats. For all we know, ninja's were ruthless, but there's not enough data to 100% prove that. I did hear rumors that there were some noble ninja clans, but I'm not completely sure of that.
And what the fucl do you mean Samurais never had a chance against ninjas?! are you a dumb ass, or a numb nuts? EIther way, Samurais varied just as much as ninjas, it depended on experiance and quick stratagy (something you don't have)

My opion is on the floor don't disrepect it. My opion is a sniper with a sneak advanatge can take out the best trained soldeir. If thats true now it is resonable for it to be true then.
Further more nothing is 100% shure. We assume things are true based on experince and what seems likely. But even then we are proven wrong. Teprel theorys will almost certinly be proven wrong when we become so much more advance. And I would really like to find the Bozzo that came up with the Idea a black hole gose some where.

secondly, the sniper deal is wrong.
you get an untrained civilian, give him a bazzoka, and make him paranoid as hell, i'd say it's a toss up wether he gets killed on first shot OR wounded, which means the sniper is dogmeat, or if the sniper misses.
Samurai were really fast, sure, BS samurai wern't, but you get a good one, yep.
it IS true that Ninja did backstabbing, but for the most part, the clans were full of honor and moral code.
i've seen the gun thing, xcept the one i saw was a sword. yeah, sure. you trick someone fine. i can deal you a deck of cards and line theback with plastic explosive. that takes no skill at all.

For the most part Ninja where clans/families that lived & trained in that way of life. Basically you were born into it. Each clan had their own technics & where very highly guarded.
Yes, they where used as Assassin, but also uses as spies. Heck, yer life was pretty much forfited if you failed yer mission.
A very good well trained Samurai could prevent or deture a Ninja's mission.
In combat, they have different approaches ... The Samurai being of course warrior, fight in close head to head combat. The Ninja, while able to fight that way, are more of the hit & run types. Basically getting yer shots in & hacking at the enemy slowly.
I have watched lots of Japanese Television over the years, so most of my info is gleamed from them. And no I am not fluent in understanding the language. I read the subtitles.
