Celluloid Nightmares

HACKERS( not horror I know but one of my comfort films! )

As an aside ( or not maybe )

Did anyone catch this on netflix, awful but kinda good( horror adjacent really )

Very much not adjacent
Eli Roth has a new film coming out that some how I missed
Thanks for the suggestion on Thrash.

I just came across the "Ice Cream Man" trailer yesterday. Definitely worth a watch imo.

He probably loved that someone remembered Hackers!
He laughed at the fact that my first gamer tag (Unreal tournament circa 2000) was CerealKiller
But he was WAY more into d&d talk .. he blessed my dice…and then i promptly lost in rollies to him and Will Friedel 😒

such a good, underrated, weird film! My sister and I still quote it regularly “..it’s in that place I put that thing that time.” 😂

Is this a horror movie? The fact that it is DC makes me think no. But maybe I just don't know enough about it. Anyone have an opinion?

I know nothing about it at all,,,maybe?

I rewatched this the other day, because a friend hadn't seen it, Not exactly Horror, but one of the THE most relentlessly horrific films I've ever seen , it doesn't even show much, it is just constant, horror,

Interesting. I will have to see if I can find that anywhere and give it a watch. It reminds of "The Day After".

I watched it. It was definitely a more dramatic sharknado. I didnt hate it. The "foster" dad, getting it not once but twice, was the best part. 🤣
I chose poorly on my movie viewing last night.
Did you not like "They will kill you"? 😳 I liked it.
A LOT of violence, but not really horror, though it was weird culty shit.

Obsession, is definitely horror. And a WHOLE lot of what the fuck. 🤣

More dramatic than sharknado? That is a bit of a low bar isn't it? :ROFLMAO: But I will give it a shot. The part about the foster dad seems intriguing.

I need to give it another watch sometime. I was not anticipating the style of the movie and some of the aspects were just too much the first time around.

Spoilers: The initial killing of the four was great action. But when they all came back to life, I was already questioning how she was going to get out.
Then the roaming eyeball.
The fight in the dining room in the dark. She is a bigger badass then John Wick.

It had great action at times. But you are right, I would not put it in the horror genre. It was just a violent movie. Given that I know that about it now, I think if I rewatched with that mindset I may enjoy it more. But I am going to give it a cooling off period before I do my rewatch. :)
