ok so i just heard about this but am not sure where to start it sounds intersting but what do you do? just go out get a chain lub it up and start to put it in? what kind of xhain? size? help explain this to me please!!! thank you to all that help!

I would think using it as an actual penetrative device would be a really bad idea.
For one it would need to be Stainless or some other material that wouldn't cause problems. Regular steel could be bad and other metals could be as well. If you go to the hardware store there is a good chance it will have a zink, galvanized or other coating on it. These could do horrible things.
My other worry is it seems quite likely with the motion of the chain it would pinch skin and that just makes me cringe.
Now maybe that rubber coated chain that they use on the new kids swing sets? That seems like it might be somewhat safe. Of course that would also depend on what the rubberized coating is made out of.
I would figure chains in sex would be used to tie someone to the bed, car, house, concrete blocks, or some cute little Asian girl.

there was a thread about this either here or over in BDSM about a year ago i think. You are supposed to be able to insert the chain, and then pull it out very quickly and create heavenly orgasmic bliss. Do a search for this, as there was quite a lot of detail on that thread IIRC.

This is what you are looking for.
The Chain Trick.

Wow pretty crazy.
Kinda scary though how many people were talking about using galvanized and treated metals

I guess if you were careful about pinching and used a chain made out of a safe material it should work out.
Sounds like it would be worth giving a shot.

Stainless is good, probably want to spend a bit of time going over it carefully to make sure there are no burrs on the links. Lube is a good idea! *nodnodnod*

Enjoy!

I agree stainless is probably the best bet but as I said in that thread there is a big difference between surgical stainless and marine or industrial stainless. I would assume it's still OK but there is always the possibility that some stainless alloys contain unsafe materials.

I would also assume chrome would be OK but I would do more reasearch before trying it myself.
Another big thing with chrome would be making sure it was completely clean.
I know the chemicals and acids used in chroming are pretty heavy duty.

There can also be mill scale or industrial coatings that don't wash off with soap and water.

I don't know much for sure but I do know that I would do quite a lot of research before picking the material.
I would probably also at least try to find stainless certified or designed for the food, medical or some other industry where there should be some monitoring of materials used.
Just my 2 cent's and having a mild dislike to the idea of overexposure to lead, zink, aluminum, mercury, iron, and so many of the other lovely metals and chemicals out there.

thanks

thank you all for the info and the personal insights. we will be looking into this and considering everything that we come across info wise, again thank you all for your help
