Challenge - How Distinctive Is Your Writing?

After brutally carving then meticulously shaving about 200 words off what I thought was the shortest thing I could possibly write, I'm in!
This little lark turned out to be a most edifying bit of discipline.

Ah, I've always felt you needed a bit of discipline...

Oh, you were talking about writing?

If I shaved anything off what I had written, it just wouldn't make sense. But, I don't consider myself a writer...I tell stories...

I could possibly shave something off... I'm good at butchering stuff that way. :catroar:

Yeah, I can just see it....

The sun came up. The sun went down. It was a good day. I was happy. The End...

You just gave your story away.

I wish I could see an example of one before I sent one up--and where do they go, anyway?

That's admirable. I envy those writers/storytellers who have a flair for concision.

I fear I could shave 60% off most of my stories without nicking the core. I have a bad habit of getting wrapped up in the minutiae of characters' interactions (not to be confused with the minutiae of the interactions of the characters' naughty bits, though I've definitely been guilty of waxing prolix in that arena, as well).
