Challenge - How Distinctive Is Your Writing?

I keep changing my answers... lol

I give up.

I think we should just vote whose is the best story in each lot... THAT would be easier...

hm. or maybe not.

I'm finding it very hard not to comment on sertain things. :p Call it youthful exuberance or whatever, but I'm just itching to say who's managed to guess my story and not. I shall resist though.

Trying to guess is a draining experience. I need coffee before I attempt Group B... and I think I'll beg off group C, using Og's excuse ;)

I'm back
Boy... can you lot kick up a storm in three days, lot of reading to do, even more guessing :D

When is the answer deadline?

Well, that was fun!

Read and guessed on all three.

I think I may have even gotten a few right.

(excuse me, my left eye just fell out--squeek--there we go)

The links to the author's stories was helpful, but I think some of us are varying their writing styles to be clever. That in itself is a useful skill.

I may go back, re-read and change a vote or two; but I find that the first guess is often the best guess. It usually worked during exams (LOL).

All-in-all, this is a magnificent effort on your part, min and I congratulate you!

Maybe I'll review my answers just one more time...

lol, went through all three groups and voted completely at random by rolling a 20 sided dice. :D Wonder how I'll do. :p

I'm really looking forward to finding out who wrote what, so I can go and read more of their work.

But did you read the entries?
I read some of them. Then the idea hit and I stopped reading, but I'm going through and reading some more tonight. :) I only read a few from the same group though, and that was the one I was in too.

I agree. Also, it would be useful if the assemblage of author/story links could be archived. It would save a lot of hunting when you have some time to read.

I'm not going to say which is my story, but I will say that one person thinks I wrote a story that is so not me I couldn't even fake writing the way that the story was written. It's hilariously not me.

Me, too.

I felt the same way myself about a couple of selections. Then again, 90% of what I've written hasn't been submitted or even typed out yet. Plus I think the two submissions that are up are completely different.

I will say though that if you know me well enough, you should be able to predict what kind of a piece I would write.

I agree, there are several pieces that I really like...

I'm quite humbled by some of the authors guessed to write what I did.

Admitting to not reading the entries is not the wisest course. ;) After all, they all read yours....

I've been paonstakingly reading. I have read about 5 authors here. I'm thinking of the things they'd say and do, and how they generally write. I've also looked at the use of location specific dialogue use- and i think i might be right if that person is where i think they are etc etc.

My biggest blush concern is that i can't even guess my friends! fuck im so so so wrong in all of these.

*sigh*

i will post what i think so far later on- for now i have to run to lectures.
