I lived in Oakland during the worst part of their existence, so, yes I do know something about them.

The BLA was a gang of terrorists, and included some of the worst of the BP. They were highly racist and haters.

The New Blank Panthers were probably the worst of the three groups. They are basically a gang that wants to kill off as many white people as they can. That is their primary purpose. They are nominally Muslim and swear allegiance to Louis Farrakhan, but they are much worse than he is.

Yes, I am aware. But even that does not tell the entire story. What you're doing here is discounting anything anyone accomplishes in life who has committed a crime. Conservatives with an avarice for power, de-legitimize someone who have broken the law. It makes it legal to discriminate against them. We are a nation of laws, right? The only problem with that is how we enforce laws and where we direct our police to patrol. I could walk across campus with a pound of weed in my backpack with total confidence. A teen walking down the street in the hood with a joint gets jacked up and now has a criminal record. That begins the legal discrimination which often leads to further criminal behavior. A Wall St. Bank can be convicted of laundering Cartel money and serve no time.

New Jersey had a GOP politician, a former State Attorney General, and Chairman of the NY/NJ Port Authority. He participated in Bridegate. He also abused his authority by making a deal with United Airlines. His payoff was for United to put on a special flight for him leaving for S. Carolina on Thursday night so that he could stay at his S. Carolina home each weekend. They flew him back to Jersey on his special flight on Monday morning. He refused to cooperate with the feds on the Bridgegate investigation. He received probation and house arrest at his home in S. Carolina.

The point is when you dismiss anyone who committed a crime, that argument carries no weight with me.
