The ongoing transformation of California’s municipalities, particularly the sprawling, sun-baked expanse of Los Angeles, offers a premier spectacle of what may be termed "Chick Think," a governance model rooted in therapeutic sentimentality, administrative coddling, and the unshakeable delusion that the grim realities of human nature can be legislated away by group hugs and municipal decrees. Where once tough-minded realists wrestled with the unyielding mathematics of budgets and public order, there now presides an ascendant sorority of progressive overseers, dedicated to transforming the machinery of state into a perpetual empathy machine. This civic philosophy replaces the harsh, necessary friction of governance with a soft-headed, maternal utopianism.

The primary tenets include:

The Primacy of Feelings over Facts: Policy is no longer measured by its material efficacy, but by its emotional resonance. A program is deemed a triumph if it sounds compassionate, regardless of whether it bankrupts the treasury or exacerbates the problem.

The Substitution of Discipline with Dialogue: The classic tools of civilization, namely, the rule of law and the enforcement of order, are discarded as unrefined. In their place, the populace is treated to endless committees, healing circles, and linguistic re-engineering.

The Cult of Universal Victimhood: In this administrative worldview, the concept of personal accountability is thoroughly liquidated. The criminal, the vagrant, and the civic saboteur are recast as helpless patients, while the tax-paying citizen is reduced to an unfeeling financier of their rehabilitation.

Nowhere is this ideological comedy more vividly staged than in Los Angeles, a city currently drowning in the consequences of its own high-minded benevolence. Under the stewardship of this municipal sorority, the city’s sidewalks have been converted into vast, chaotic encampments, functioning as open-air sanitariums and bazaars of misery. To the practitioner of Chick Think, clearing these hazards is viewed as an act of intolerable cruelty; thus, the squalor is permitted to fester under the guise of compassion. The police power of the state is systematically defanged, replaced by legions of highly paid "interveners" armed with clipboards and sociology degrees, who approach the feral realities of urban decay with the gentle scolding of a suburban schoolmistress.

The result is a sublime irony: in their frantic rush to shield the unfortunate from the cold winds of reality, these governing matrons have succeeded only in making the city unlivable for the very people who build, fund, and populate it. The treasury is bled dry to subsidize chaos, the merchant is plundered with impunity, and the ordinary citizen is left to navigate a landscape where common sense has been outlawed as a hate crime. It is a triumph of pure, unadulterated sentimentality over civilization, a spectacle so thoroughly absurd that one can only watch in grim amusement as the golden state slowly suffocates under the weight of its own tender mercies. :D

That's a lot of words.
To our liberal of the softer variety, any sequence of sentences extending beyond the brief span of a bumper sticker or a digital chirp is viewed not as an argument, but as an unprovoked assault upon his peace of mind. The retort, "That’s a lot of words," is the definitive manifesto of YDB, a public confession of intellectual bankruptcy masquerading as a smug triumph of wit. It reveals a kind of participant that has entirely traded the rigorous, muscular business of thinking for a passive diet of ready-made slogans, designed for easy digestion by the most primitive minds. To challenge them with syntax, history, or anything resembling a structured thesis is to violate their fundamental right to remain comfortably unbothered by reality. This horror of vocabulary is the natural byproduct of a political tribe that operates entirely on reflex and moral posturing. In Yard Dog's world, a complex societal problem is not something to be analyzed with a sharp mind, but something to be solved with an intestinal spasm and a gasous release.

This is the best summary of today's GOP that I have read this year.

The current crop of political ads fit that formula. So far no less than 2 different ads for different political referenda, and the governor's race, are all blaming Trump for internal State issue.

And the voters are going along with it because the messaging fits on a bumper sticker.

*chuckle* Well stated.

This is the best summary of today's GOP that I have read this year.
Take note and behold a truly magnificent specimen of the Homo boobariens in his natural habitat, performing the precise sort of intellectual acrobatics that make the democratic experiment an endless source of grim amusement. To present this creature with a blistering autopsy of the progressive matriarchy currently reducing Los Angeles to a pestilential bazaar, only for him to blink his heavy eyelids and pronounce it a flawless portrait of the Grand Old Party, is to witness a triumph of unadulterated cognitive vacancy. Poor bijedi, his cerebral cortex evidently reduced to library paste by decades of partisan chanting, operates on a touching, almost primitive binary: if an essay describes a civic disaster, it must naturally be a description of the party he dislikes. That the state of California has not permitted a Republican within sniffing distance of statewide power since the year of our Lord 2006 is a trifling historical detail far too heavy for his delicate cranium to bear. He stands there, perfectly naked in his ignorance, triumphantly misinterpreting an indictment of the ruling progressive sorority as a blow against his favorite strawman, a spectacle of such dense, diamond-hard stupidity that it rises above mere political illiteracy and becomes a monument to the eternal, unquenchable blindness of the partisan mind. His is a search for a ghost in an empty room.

Given that the Los Angeles City Council boasts a grand total of zero registered Republicans among its fifteen seats. The entire civic decay is the exclusive, unadulterated product of a fourteen-Democrat monopoly, proving that the local ruling class needs no conservative assistance to achieve its current state of spectacular ruin.

intellectual eunuch with tired feet.
You aren't saying anything, ever.

Just a lot of complaining and wordy insulting.

Bloviation is your only mode.

Feel free to tell me how your post said anything outside of your two word insult.

I have to ask, are there any Republican ads for Governor running on California TV?

I laid out the ongoing collapse of the Golden State with absolute clarity, but I foolishly underestimated the staggering depth of the partisan cataracts blinding your vision.

I've seen a couple. Mostly the ads blamed Trump for California's budget imbalance and tried to connect the ICE deportations to a lack of productive workers AND low wages.

Even the democrat candidate is AWOL.

He's running a basement campaign like Biden did. The fewer public appearances he makes, the fewer opportunities there are to show him to be a mouth breathing clusterfuck.

Can you provide links to any of that, or did you just make it up?

California took the progressive religion as far as it can go. As a variation of Christianity, it's not male or female. It's part of the endgame of our civilization.

California is no longer merely misgoverned; it is actively embracing a form of progressive self-destruction, systematically dismantling its own industry and infrastructure to satisfy the theological whims of its gyno-fascists.
