Child of Eden

Eden

My eyes widened a little as I stepped around him, giving him room and myself incase he decided to attack once again.
"You do not know who I am? And yet you are attempting to kill me?" I snorted a little and glanced behind him.
"Be nice to Rock, he is only protecting me.."
I jumped around out of the way as he swung around again. I could hear people screaming and running for cover from the shots fired.
"Cops will arrive soon, but incase you do not know who I am.. I Am Eden.... And if you don't know that name then you certainly should go study up before trying to take a hit at me." I glared a little, but smirked as well. This guy was amusing, accurately shooting and dead set on his goal.
"I'll pay you double whatever he is paying and I won't ask you to kill anyone, merely protect me... whatcha say?" A deal yes, a risky one? Hell yeah! but Master always said "Keep your friends close.. your enemies closer.."

Tim

He glanced over at 'Rock', the person he'd fired at. He snorted. He glanced around, already hearing the sirens in the distance. Police, he snorted again.

"I don't get paid in cash, I get paid in cost of living. The only way you could beat that is if you made it more comfortable, which," He looked her over again. Attractive. He moved closer, making his intentions well known. "I'm sure you could do. Of course, If you don't want to, I could understand. And kill you. As for the cops, I really don't care. They're nothing. And yes, I'll kill you without knowing who you are. And more to the point, I don't really care."

He pulled back the hood, his twin horns glinting in the light. "I mean, would you look at me? There are plenty of people who'd kill me without a thought."

Eden

Hmm this one was a tricky one, to say the least. I eyed him, wondering what he was thinking and why he stepped towards me in that manner?
"and how would I make your life more comfortable Sir?" I knew he wanted something, they all did. Everyone wanted something from me, I was used to this by now.
He pulled back his hood revealing his horns and I smiled knowingly. "Ah ha.. A demon.. No wonder you have little care for anything other than yourself and what makes you happy... Hmm." I walked around him in a small circle, his body turning slightly as he watched carefully.
I was certain he expected an attack, was prepped for it even.. Good thing I wasn't planning an attack on this man... or whatever he was.
Laughing, I had an idea and instantly used it. Within a blink of an eye I was no where to be seen. But if you listened well you could hear me breathing as I backed slowly away from him, luring him away from the coming police officers and towards and alley in the shadows. Invisible to the naked eye, i was there but where?
"Tell me your name.." I whispered, his head turning in the direction I was standing, but easily enough I moved to another side.

Tim

Invisibilty was impossible to acheive. To pass light through oneself, it couldn't be done while retaining a physical form. Invisibility as people know it is actually the art of pushing aside minds, making them think they can't see what is 'invisible'.

But Tim was too well trained in the arts of manipulation to be so easilly fooled. His eyes followed her as she moved, following her. "My name? I am called Tisathwrim. Tim for short. And you are Eden. And I am not a demon. A demon is a creature spawned from hell. And while I may not know where I am from, I know that I am not a demon. I am,....something else. Although I think you are not what you seem either."

eden

I smiled, he was talented indeed! Pouting I stood still a moment and then turned again. Walking into the alley, i did not care if he followed, but I knew he would.
"Oh hell.. You ruined my fun.... All well. Come stranger.." I moved into the shadows quickly and quietly. Stopping, I glanced around, this would do nicely for the moment.
Using the strength I had been shown thanks to Depp, I concentrated only a moment before jumping to the roof of the building I had been standing infront of only moments before. Sitting on one of the vents, I waited for this "not demon" to join me.
"I am not what you think I am... You aren't a demon, alright.. I am not human girl either.. It is for told that I have some purpose to being here.. Either to save man kind or destroy the earth and those on it....." I shrugged as if it was nothing.
He eyed me speculatively, I expected this. Turning I picked up a thin piece of metal siding and slide my leg wide open. grimacing a little from the pain, I didn't glance up at him, instead placed my hand over the wound and closed my eyes a moment.
It took barely anything to stop the blood flow and to seal the wound. Opening my eyes I glanced up at him standing there watching.
"See?" Now I had to figure out who wanted me dead?
"I have powers inside I have yet to harness full control over, but they are there and I can do things that would be beyond normal fairy tales and imagination.. I have the ability to make things happen with a mere twitch of my mind. I want it.. it happens... " I sat back, wound healed though the blood remained. I would have to clean up.
"what's it going to take to make you forget this little mission against me? I really do hate the thought of having to kill you..." I smiled sweetly as I sat there uneffected by his angry looking face.

Tim

He gritted his teeth as she jumped. Stretching his muscles, he spread his wings, the giant green-scaled bat's wings spreading. They couldn't actually make him fly, but if he focused his entire being into them,....

He spread his wings, eyes closed in focus as he lifted off the ground and moved up to the rooftop. He was angry when he stood on hard ground again. And tired.

"Save the world, destroy it, who cares? And I am not so easy to kill as you may think. But my question is, how can you be surprised someone is after you? You're what, twenty? That's a long life for this to be the first hit against you. Especially if you have such power."

Eden

Grinning I did not comment on this but instead told the truth, "I have never had a 'hit' out on me before now.. but then again I was locked up in a mansion with many many people watching me twenty four seven..." I knew he was annoyed and it made me grin even more. I did love a good game.
Standing, i strolled over to where he stood, placing my hand on his arm I gave him a little pat.
"Oh do stop pouting, I haven't done anything to you...... " I let "yet" hang in the air.
"So you have no need of wealth, nor anything else for that matter.. other than a comfortable life style?" I paused again, "This does not make sense to me.. please explain to me why you would do a 'hit' if you have nothing to gain?" I strolled around behind him, my hand running across his back and folded wings. "You sure look like a demon to me.. Would you like me to heal you Tim? Make you human completely?" I could do it easily enough. Manipulate his cells, course it would be painful removing the wings and horns but I could do it..

Tim

He snorted. "That's not a 'healing'. And if I wanted them gone, I would have had the surgery to have them removed long ago. I may not know what I am, but that's what I am. Why change? And as for the hits, my jobs aren't always so coldblooded. I do lots of different things. In return I get a comfortable life. It's more than I'd get on my own."

He snorted. "Not all of us get to live in mansions."

Eden

"Well I offered you a job, and that comes with living in a mansion.." I smiled, moving around him yet again and standing before him.
"I manipulated my own cells and now I am fully grown. I have healed those who have needed it and I have taken lives if I wished to.." I cocked my head to one side, smiling still. I bet I was beginning to annoy this man, it was rather amusing.
"Well, tell me what you want Tim and I will see that you get it.. In exchange, you let little 'ol me go free... Since there is no real reason to kill me, I think it's rather unfair and frankly pissin' me off... So we play all nice like, or we try hard ball... What's your choice? Oh I should add, you're going to have alot more to gain by assisting me than trying to kill me."
I placed my hand on his gun, still held in his arm and waited. I could leave now and end this game for tonight, but he was just too cute and I was having fun toying with this creature.. Besides, what else was there to do?
Locking eyes with him, I probed around to see if I could read his mind and see what he was thinking.....

Tim

He felt her mind, probing. There was a lot of power there, but it lacked direction. He carefully funneled her searching towards a question that was nagging the back of his mind. There was no way she'd be able to tell what he'd done. She had more power than he did, true. But he had more control, and he could use his power more smoothly.

So, instead of a few other thoughts he didn't want her to see, he let her see the following: 'now I am fully grown'? Exactly how old is she?

"How old are you?"

eden

Winking, I moved towards the vent once again. I could hear a chopper approaching. Cops had a fly boy up in the air, looking for us I was betting.
"In mind late teens.. early twenties.. In body well over 21.. In human years? Five." I smiled sweetly. He blocked me so easily. Dammit! I was tempted to pout about it but I would just have to locate Depp for another lesson.. Over powering the mind..

"drop your weapons!" I glanced up as the bright light of the chopper flew over us.

"well guess our party is over for tonight Timmy.." smiling, I backed away from him a little at a time.

"Does the age shock you or the knowledge I am matured already?" I backed up a little further.

"Until next time?" I blew him a little kiss, turning and jumping off of the building. Down in the alley below, I moved quickly back towards the main street. I needed a taxi and out of here before the cops spotted me.

Tim

He stared after her, the act of brushing away the police as simple as batting away a few annoying flies. A little confused, they wandered off, swearing they'd seen who they were looking for, but there was no one there.

".....Five? No wonder she was so unresponsive. Although technically,.....she should have the hormones, shouldn't she?" He shook his head. "I don't want to know. ....But,.....five? With that kind of power? .....This could be interesting."

Continuesing to push aside the minds of any who would look towards him, or, as the art was more formally known, 'invisible', he wandered after her.

Interesting indeed. Besides, he had a job to do.

Eden

I paused, stopping in my tracks about two miles down the road.
"Alright Tim, I know you are there and have been there since I left.. Now come out of hiding dammit!"
I turned around to face him, knowing he was there. Damn he was good! Guarding his mind so well that he kept his presence hidden from me. A nagging thought was there the whole time, but he was almost undetectable.
I was tempted to ask him to teach me, I wanted to know how to do that!
It was a dark abandoned road I was walking, leading from the city and towards the manor house. Hardly anyone lived in these old building but it was perfect for a route home.
I wondered where Depp had gone once again and cursed under my breath. I would need to discover this mind thing better and work on it.
Shivering slightly from the cooler air, I waited for him to reveal himself.
"If you were dead set on killing me.. I would have been dead a mile ago easily.. Dammit, get out here!" I glared in his general direction.

Tim

Tim pulled back his bariers, in the opposite direction she was glaring at. Tactial misdirection. He doubted with her power she would be completely turned away, so he'd left a small signal unhidden, but in a different direction.

"You don't have much control, do you? How can you expect to do anything to the whole world if you can't even aim? That's a big cannon to be firing randomly."

Eden

I turned around, glaring.
"That's not remotely funny Tim." I walked over to stand before him, watching him smirk.
"For your information all my learning has come from books. Not human interaction or being in situations. I have no idea how things work outside of what is written into books. I know a million facts of a million stupid things, including this 'all powerful' magic, but I can not use it as well as I should be able to.. I need a teacher I guess who can show me how.."
I paused again, eyeing him. "That is what Depp was teaching me, but since he is merely a vampire and has none of these powers, he can only explain, not show me...... But eventually I will have it down... So if I take out a square city block to get to you, so be it.." I grinned a little, though I was flushed bright red with my temper I was still up to sparring with him.

Tim

He threw back his head and laughed. He let out a good laugh before focusing his eyes back on hers. She didn't seem to like being laughed at. "And I'm sure you could let loose that kind of power. But I'd merely funnel it back at you, and you'd have no idea how to block, would you? You'd be ripped apart by your own attack. That doesn't seem like a good way to die to me."

He stopped, and started walking around her, looking her over. But not as he had before. This wasn't a woman. It was a deadly weapon shaped like a woman. "I, however, have nineteen years of experience in controlling power. While I may not be as strong as you, I can channel my power into more powerful attacks, because they're focused. How would you like me to teach you how to control yourself?"

Eden

"Would I have to watch my back for an attack when least expected so you do your job?" I challenged him but I had a right to know what he was up to.
He was lucky I was amused by him, my temper would have been boiling by now just from his little out burst of laughter.
Placing my hands on my hips, I let him circle my like a vulture, wondering what he was looking at particularly?
"Or are you serious?" I was pushing it I knew that, but I was also not that stupid. Even if he said he wouldn't attack me, it would take alot more than his 'word' for me to trust him.

Tim

"I'm not saying I'm not going to attack you. I'm simply saying that I've put it off for now. And I'm serious. I'm willing to teach you a little of what I know. You interest me."

He stopped, standing in front of her. He leaned back, spreading out his wings and looking at her. "I don't know why you interest me, but you do. Besides, you've earned it. All this time, and you haven't been foolish enough to try and attack me."

Eden

Grinning, I shook my head.
"No promises, well at least you are an honest killer..... thats an oxymoron, but all well.... Sure Tim. Teach me something usefull instead of how to be sexy and nice.. That's a little boring right now and useless.. Unless I wanted to seduce someone into doing my bidding.. Though I am not sure I could do that effectively."
Glancing around, I caught his eyes again, "Right here in the street or are we goin' to my place? And as for attacking you, I am not a twit.. Just uneducated in somethings.."

Tim

"Sure, let's go to your place. Besides I'm hungry and need to think about how best to start these lessons. The best way would be to give a weak attack and let you naturally throw out a defense. But with your power, you're likly to destroy half a block that way."

He pushed off the ground, slipping into invisibility again, pushing aside all minds but hers. It would be easier not too annoy her too much.

Eden

Walking in silence, I chuckled to myself but said nothing. I would definately have to watch this one.
Neither of us said anything as we walked along and in a short time later we were at the mansion once again. All was silent but the lights were on. Knowing Lissa, she was around there somewhere lurking. Seeing Tim might give her heart failure.. The thought made me grin even further.. Would serve her bitchy self right!
"Rock is following.. I can smell him and hear his thoughts.." It had to be him, no one else I knew had the personality Rock had.
"Come on in.." I opened the double doors and strolled inside, not bothering to announce I was home once again, I strolled into the living room and sat down.
"Come have a seat and relax.." I wondered how it would be possible to teach me anything without bodily risk??

Tim

His boots sounded against the floor. He folded his wings back, and sat down on a chair nearby. Let's see,....how to best start this,....

Rock, (as usual) stayed out of the combersation. But he heard every word "Weapon... never thought of it like that. But Tim is right, but I'm not sure if he could teach her every thing she needs to know to harness that power" He muttered to himself.

At first Rock followed, but then he shook off the feeling that he needed to protect her "I'm having one screwed up week" He said to himself as he headed torwards his old home, the forest he hated so much.

Tim

He sighed, and closed his eyes. He leaned his head back. "I guess the esiest place to start is to tell you exactly what you're doing wrong. You can't just throw power like yours out there. I know you're telling it what you want done, but that's not enough."

He sat up, opening his eyes and looking at her. "You need to tell it how to do what you want it to. And you have to control how much power you give to it. You want to hold back, only let enough of it out to do what you want it to. It's hard at first, but you get used to it after a while. It gets to where you can just tell how much you need to do something. But I suppose we should start with some basic exercises. You ready?"

Eden

I sat watching him in the light, curious as to what he was? He was unlike anything i had seen before.
paying attention to him, I nodded my head hoping I was ready for this little exercise he wanted to show me.
"Sure, if I can control this inside, everyone would be much better off.. Including myself.." I fell silent and waited for further instructions.
