Climate continues to change.

It's a cult:

The entire "debate" when and if they ever hold it will be Phrodeau's parishioners all in agreement about how much the citizens on 1.8% of the planet should impoverish themselves tilting at windmills and slave-labor made solar panels to stone for our sin of prosperity.

A hurricane in hurricane season is weather. Even if you could make the connection between warming trends and more violent storms we haven't had enough warming to possibly have that effect. The average day has far more temperature differential just throughout the day then what we could possibly be talking abou. If this was even a thing you pick one day where the temperature happened to be cool and a warm Southern current just happened to intersect with that and you get a perfect storm. Perfect storms were always perfect storms whether or not there was a human in the forest to hear the tree fall. They're called perfect storms for a reason. it has to do with the random activity of weather systems converging for catastrophic results.

Absolute nonsense to point to this hurricane as evidence of anything.

If your righteous God causes the rain to fall upon you as a blessing for your crops. If you're Wicked God causes the rain to fall on you to punish your sins and spoil your crops. No matter what happens there's always someone that can turn it into a faith promoting miracle. Absolute insanity.

I think this is why the left is eschews actual, traditional religious practices. Apparently Gaia is an Angry Goddess. Great great grandfather Increase Mather would be proud of these new Puritans.

How do you know that?

Satan directed me to read the forbidden passages of the report issued by NOAA on this very idea. It reads, in part:

"It is premature to conclude that human activities–and particularly

greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming–have already had a detectable impact on Atlantic hurricane or global tropical cyclone activity. That said, human activities may have already caused changes that are not yet detectable due to the small magnitude of the changes or observational limitations, or are not yet confidently modeled (e.g., aerosol effects on regional climate)."

Which means that anyone claiming that ANYTHING about storm activity is outside of the range of possible outcomes from known, naturally occurring cycles of WEATHER regardless of any speculative ideas about what influence man may have in the future is full of shit.

NOTHING they have seen or modeled shows ANY detectable influence.

You can pray for all of the bad weather you want in order to try to scare the unwashed masses into joining your religion but that doesn't make it true. Pointing to scary weather and saying that it may be because of climate change is an exercise in faith not science.

Because I prayed to the Satan of Climate Change in a Black Mass, and He revealed all to me.

So. believe that "climate naturally changes" , based on the same evidence that shows conclusive proof of human driven forcing.

Makes sense.

Is it your belief that climate only changes as man impacts it? Really?

Pointing out that we have no idea how to quantify what if any impact man has had in the form of anthropogenic warming and whether any attributable to man has occurred is not the same thing as not understanding the science as to why we expect to see something that we have not seen as of yet.

I realize that your religion has a longer time line then say Christianity of 6000 + years but even with the earliest estimates of human habitation on the planet it's the blink-of-an-eye in geological time. We have a decent idea about what the temperature has been over time and we haven't reasonable estimate as to where we are in the current interglacial.. We also have some idea as to the nature of the cycles

Propagation of Error and the Reliability of Global Air Temperature Projections

https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/feart.2019.00223/full

by Patrick Frank, Ph.D.

"...The whole AGW claim is built upon climate models that do not model the climate, upon climatologically useless air temperature measurements, and upon proxy paleo-temperature reconstructions that are not known to reconstruct temperature.

It all lives on false precision; a state of affairs fully described here, peer-reviewed and all.

Climate alarmism is artful pseudo-science all the way down; made to look like science, but which is not.

Pseudo-science not called out by any of the science organizations whose sole reason for existence is the integrity of science."

The public radio host was interviewing an advocate/activist from some California-based environmental group about sea level rise in San Francisco Bay.

I have spent way too much time attempting to find a trace of the exact content provider that created the story, including emailing NPR’s All Things Considered — to no avail. NPR could not find any such content in programs they produced. I have checked the web sites of APM, PRI and PRX. They don’t list such a program.
Nice story, bro.

It...

"is a classic example of a problem I have seen growing here... for quite some time. This is the misunderstanding and misuse of the climate terms DroughtFlood and FloodDrought. As you know these parts of the larger Climate Change Phenomena of HotColdWetDry. These are technical terms and must be used accurately to properly convey your message. Yet all too often, we see the terms DroughtFlood and FloodDrought used carelessly and even interchangeably.

We should all strive for accuracy in our communications. The term FloodDrought refers to the situation where you have a severe drought during a flood event. And, of course, the term DroughtFlood refers to just the opposite situation.

I hope this simple explanation clarifies the issue the people here."

Interesting article.

The question begs:

Why does it have to be a binary answer to the climate question?

Either we must completely stop all fossil fuel use or continue the status quo?

Illogical.

The problem exists. There are various avenues that exist which not only complicate the matter, but offer possible remedies, if not solutions.

I ask....

Why the binary and extreme positions?

And I will state, again:

Any human created problem can be solved by humans.
