Clinton - Obama '08

I just dont see how Hillary is going to win over America, I think she will turn off a lot of people as we get closer to 08. Obama hasn't stepped up yet, I have no clue what he is about.

Actually, I think Obama has stepped up (in terms of displaying his intelligence, wit, character, and other personal characteristics). Now as far as the issues go, I will agree on that.

But there is no doubt he is a bright charasmatic guy. But what I found most impressive is how he handled the grenades lobbed from Hillary's camp.

When the Geffen comments surfaced and HRC demanded an apology, Barack said he wouldn't apologize for something someone else said.

Then later when Maureen Dowd tried to bait him and tried to portray him as being bullied by Hillary he deftly handled that as well.

It's obvious this guy thinks several steps ahead and sees "traps" long before they can be sprung.

Bill has about 600 fundraisers scheduled in next 300 days.

598 more than he did for both Gore and Kerry.

It's early yet, so perhaps his stance on so many issues will surface later this year. Hillary is just too much, too soon, I see her burning out before it gets started.

So do I.

I think the pressure, attacks, etc. wll get to her and I am predicting a public meltdown by her that will effectively end her campaign.

OK.................OK

a BIG FLEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy?

I agree with you on MUSLIMHussein and HRC

I dont agree that he has displayed much intell and wit, but his comment about NOT saying sorry for SOMEONE else was great!

His comment of calling FAGWARDS "kinda cute" was a great put down!

Cmon, don't lie. You snuck a peek at my pee-pee, didn't you?

It's OK, lots of die-hard conservatives are in the closet:

Rush Limbaugh
Tom Foley
Matt Drudge
Karl Rove
Mayor of Spokane
Scott McClelland

So if you come out, you won't be alone.

This DUMBASS is running for Pres

Mommy-in-Chief-to-Be Intimidates the Enemy

Hillary Clinton:

"I turn off a light and say, 'Take that, Iran,' and "Take that, Venezuela.' We should not be sending our money to people who are not going to support our values[.]"

Im sure Iran is shitting in their pants at this

Once again, Sen. Clinton demonstrates that she knows, as they say in my part of the world, sit all about energy. Switching off a light doesn't harm Iran or Venezuela one whit. It most likely harms the ordinary coal miner in West Virginia or Kentucky. Electricity, Madam Senator, comes from burning coal or natural gas, sometimes from nuclear and just occasionally from a renewable source like wind or solar. Oil-fired power stations are a thing of the past.

So if the good Senator wishes to say "Take that" to an oil-exporting country, she should refuse to step into her limousine or on to a private jet. Saying, "Take that, Iran," is rather more difficult as her husband, she may not have noticed, issued a series of Executive Orders (PDF) forbidding virtually all trade with Iran. Now, of course, driving or flying less will hurt Iran indirectly because fungibility means that world demand drives the oil price, not simply US demand. However, because Iran can produce oil relatively cheaply, driving or flying less is more likely to hurt Canada or African states where oil extraction is more expensive.

So spare us the sanctimony, Madam Senator, and pick up a book on Energy 101.

Campaign 2008

Fifty percent of adults would not vote for Clinton
By Kelly McCormack
March 27, 2007
Half of voting-age Americans say they would not vote for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) if she became the Democratic nominee for president in 2008, according to a Harris Interactive poll released Tuesday.
More than one in five Democrats that participated in the survey said they would not vote for Clinton. Overall, 36 percent say they would vote for the former first lady and 11 percent are unsure of their top choice.

Forty-eight percent of Independent voters also said that they would choose another candidate over Clinton, the poll, which surveyed 2,223 potential voters, states.

Fifty-six percent of men said that they would not vote for Clinton, while 45 percent of women said that she would not be their pick. In addition, 69 percent of those 62 and older said that they would not vote for Clinton.

Nearly half of the respondents said that they dislike Clinton’s political opinions and Clinton as a person. Fifty-two percent of people also said that “she does not appear to connect with people on a personal level.”

I think the public are going to be so sick and tired of the top 3 on each side that you're going to get the late comers in the Fall stealing their thunder.

So prepare yourself for Al Gore vs. Newt vs. Bloomberg in a hawt 3 way in '08.

There is a lot of truth to that. Obama has flat-lined at about 48%. Hillary bounces between 43% and 50% and Edwards is stuck at 7%. (No bump from the cancer announcement, but no dip either.)

"Anyone other than the above" is sitting at 12%. Down from a high of 22%, but still in spoiler range.

Gore is well positioned. His trick is going to be to time his announcement to peak during the big primaries. If he decides to run, and pulls off the nomination, I wouldn't be surprised to if he were to pick Obama as a side-kick as long as Obama doesn't seriously step on his dick between now and then. Or maybe Richardson. You can bet your ass he won't pick Hillary.

Too bad that Clark fizzled out. He was more my kind of Democrat. He would have beaten Bush in 2004, easily. Edwards was cool, too. Have my doubts about Hillary. Just do. Something about her makes me go catty, and not in a good way. Obama, not so bad. Might be an option.
