Provisional? What does that mean, Professor Peacock?
Provisional means that he couldn't race his way into the race, his speed wasn't quick enough to get him in so he had to fall back on points from last year to make the field. yeesh what a sucky week he has been having. Lets hope he turns it around tomorrow or I will REALLY be SALTY:eek:

From the "you won the race so shut the HELL up Department"

Eury: 'I should have kept my mouth shut'

Tony Eury Sr., crew chief for Dale Earnhardt Jr., said Friday he shouldn't have aired his and his team's displeasure with teammate Michael Waltrip publicly after Thursday's Gatorade 125.

"We felt like we got a raw deal, but I should have just kept my big mouth shut," Eury said. "As far as we're concerned it's all over. Hopefully, they'll work together on Sunday."

Eury said that while he still thinks Waltrip "dumped" Earnhardt Jr. by leaving him in the outside lane about 10 laps into the heat race, he thinks the controversy over the issue has been "blown out of proportion."

Waltrip talked about the dispute on Speed Channel's "Wind Tunnel" show with Dave Despain on Thursday night.

"If Dale hangs me out early in a race or me him, that means nothing to me," Waltrip said. "But, evidently, Tony Eury went on some sort of rampage about my loyalty to our team. That really bothered me that he would question what I know is best for DEI after my assistance, my participation and my great finishes for our team.

"I have to sit around and answer questions about this deal. If Tony had just been quiet and kept his dumb comments to himself, I could sit here and talk to you about winning the last two out of three Daytona 500s and having a fast car going into the Daytona 500."

Lots of good stuff over here Kayte...Like this gem from Idiot Rusty Wallace:

Drivers can be a superstitious lot, and Friday was the 13th day of February. "Yeah I'm superstitious," Rusty Wallace said. "I don't like carrying $50 bills. They're horrible luck. I don't like to walk under ladders. And I keep seeing pennies "tails" up on the ground. I don't touch those."

He's got 500 laps. Anything can happen.

I am hoping that this will be Dale jr's year to get thins done. Winning at Daytona would be a great way to start.
