Commanding Soldier x Soldier (Closed to KINKYCanada)

Not expecting her to say what she did, and leaving him nowhere to go the soldier and his buddy's just moved on.

Kat went inside while the men worked out hard! They sweated out the booze and worked off the calories.

"We waking her up LT?" Bama said when they were heading to the range. They had already showered and changed, quickly grabbed their weapons.

"Naw let her have the day, it'll be business as usual soon enough! besides it's only the range she can do a double day tomorrow." Banks said with a smile.

it was just past 1200 when Kat got a knock on her door. "Cpl Doyle are you awake?" a woman's voice said through the door.

KC

Kat heard the voice and she snarled. "What?" She called, sitting up, rubbing her head at the massive headache and then winced at the pain from her side. She squinted at the clock "Fuck! Is it really 1200?" She got up, opening her door. "What do you want?" She asked, eyeballing the woman at her door. Her dog laid on the bed and Kat looked tired, her hair was a mess and she was in her sports bra and shorts, her torso wrapped to cover the bullet graze. She held her pale eyes on the unknown woman, wondering what she wanted.

After her rude awakening, and answered the door Kat was face to face with a beautiful woman who looked to be in her mid thirties.

"Good day to you Cpl Doyle. I am Lt Markensen. I am an army Dr in charge with evaluating the spec ops soldiers and their charges. This charge would be you! Now is time for a surprise eval. We will sit and I will address any concerns you might have and I will address any and all concerns the Army might have putting a female K-9 handler with one of the most highly trained units the Army has ever assembled." She said with very false sweetness. Now you will meet me in my office in ten minutes. Please be properly dressed. Jasper will not be in attendance. That is an order!" She said as if knowing what Kat might say next. "Also there will be no need to talk to Lt Banks first. That order is from Col Jamison himself." With the the blond turned and left.

KC

Kat listened with a sneer and a raised brow. But she didnt say a word until the woman left. Shutting the door She eyed Jasper. "Fuck that and Fuck her." Kat was in pain and feeling pissy this morning. Dressing she headed off to find Banks, Jasper at heel. "Lt. We got a problem. I was just visited by an Lt. Markenson. Said I was to report to her for a surprise eval. Something about concerns of a woman on a spec ops team. Said I was to not being my K9 and I wasn't to talk to you. " She sneered again. "Orders came from Col. Jamison but I take my orders from you and no one else." She said. Kat was a loyal as Her dog was. She would do as Banks ordered, whatever the consequences. "I can tell you right now, I'm not leaving my K9. I haven't been here long enough to train any of you in basic handling skills, which needs to be done but it hasn't. I'm not leaving y dog without a single person who knows how to handle him." She said bluntly, it didnt matter who ordered what, in the K9 academy they were taught to never leave their dogs unless emergency demanded. She crossed her arms as she fell silent letting Banks decide what he wanted her to do.

Banks, Parks, Winger and Bama were honing their already incredable skill out on the range. Kat had no problem finding them as they were always left alone when training. She told Banks the perdicament while the others listened in.

"Awwww Fuck her again!" Bama said after checking his M4 and putting it in the safe position.

"Quiet!" Banks barked. It was clear that this was not welcome news. "Well you can't skirt seeing her for the eval! As for Jazz... Well shit orders are orders. Yet you are right in not leaving him with out a handler. She won't allow him in the room with you. These are stresser eval's! She will push you to see how you handle yourself! Jasper will be a problem for this to happen." Banks explained. "That was why she didn't want you talking to me first she wanted you unprepared and off guard!"

"These are not fun Kat! What about kenelling him for the two or so hours she'll be fucking with you?" Parks added.

"I said quiet!" Banks said again. As he began to pace. "How long to train Parks to handle him in the basics?" Banks asked. Parks owned dogs and was out of the group had the best chance to train quick, that coupled with the fact that Delta were very quick learners. "Also you can't let her know you talked to me. Just tell her to postpone for two days, tell her why, she'll have to understand, and promise not to discuss it with us! She won't believe you but if you sell that you don't know what it's about in the first place she may not have a reason to not believe you! That is the best I can offer I'm afraid! She is Army intel, similar to Police internal affairs, not to be fucked with!" Banks said as he started to walk with the group back to the house.

"Aw shit LT there ain't no way Candi will let our little Kat out o'er sight after that!" Bama added.

"I know! So if she postpones that will be it for talking about it with anyone. She catches you and she'll bring you up on insubordination and then Jasper will be sent away while you're in the stock aid for a week or two. She is a rattlesnake in rats clothing she don't fuck around! What I don't know is why is she here at all?" Banks said to her.

The group seemed genuinely worried about her interference at this time. Not for themselves but for Kat and Jasper. This seemed to be just another display of some desk jockey fucking with something he or she doesn't understand.

KC

She shrugs, "Training Parks wouldn't be hard, likely would just take a day. Teaching Jasper to respect him enough to listen? I've never tried so I don't know if it can even be done. Certainly would take weeks." She said honestly. Then shook her head "I'll have to lock him up. I'm not postponing this shit. It needs to get done." She forced a hand through her hair. "Everyone keep out of my room, he'll be kenneled inside but he may destroy it, then he'll be loose in my room." Pivoting on her heel she stalked off. "Shoulda just joined the Military Police instead of wanting to prove we could do spec ops."

In her room She kenneled the dog much to his dismay. She ordered him into a down and to wait for her. Bolstering her sidearm she left and headed to where she was suppose to meet for her eval. She was late by only a few minutes. "Sorry ma'am, with my injury it takes longer to get ready and prepare my dog to stay without me." Kat was a confident liar, one would have to know her well to know she was lying. She met the Lt's case with ease as she stood

Banks and the others truly felt for her, Jasper was not just some dog to her, he was family, per partner and with her being the only one he trusted locking him up was the last thing any of them wanted her to do. They hated that the Brass was fucking with the team, and when it was all over and Markensen was long gone he would bring it up to his commanding officer.

"Parks her office is in the same building as medical stick around there. If things go south I want you close to her!" Banks ordered and soon Parks was running off, he beat her to the building by mere seconds. He gave her a small nod but they didn't talk.

Once in the office Kat saw that it was sparse and utilitarian. There was a heavy metal desk and two chairs. On the desk was a laptop and that was all.

"Welcome Cpl please turn over your side arm to the MP." Markensen said jesturing to the large man standing to the side. "We are perfectly safe here with out it! My name is Candice Markensen and like I said before this is an evaluation to determine whether the unit needs you or whether you can handle working with in the spec ops! Or even if the unit is needed at all." She began. "I will ask you a series of questions and watch how you answer them. I won't lie these questions will seem random and silly at times, they will also seem personal and private at times. Refusing to answer is not a good idea but will be your right. All your answers will determine whether you stay with them and if they even stay together as a team so keep that in mind your performance this day could split them up!" She went on. Kat could tell Markensen got off on having the power to fuck with things most people couldn't. She also seemed like a very cold hearted woman.

"Are you ready? This should only take two hours!" Candice gestured to the lone chair in front of the desk while sitting in her own behind it.

KC

Kat eyed the man but handed over her sidearm without question. She did not speak to the LT, simply listened, raising a brow or smirking at times. But she did not allow herself to feel stress about what the woman was saying. At the end of the day, she knew that it would not be her answers that determined this team's fate, it would be her interpretations of Kat's answers. Kat took a slow breath, wincing in pain from her side, she was still feeling hungover, so she'd taken some generic pain killers, she didn't want to take her heavy duty ones when she was still feeling the effects of the alcohol. "Honestly ma'am, the sooner this is done the better. I've got training to catch up on, since my LT gave me the morning off due to my injury." She said, clearly not appearing nervous or stressed. She'd be damned if she'd allow this woman to see her get nervous. She knew Lt. Markenson enjoyed crap like this, and KAt was determined to walk right through it without issue. But silently she was relieved to know that Parks was right outside, if she should need anything after this eval was over.

After she turned over her side arm and sat they got started.

"Good well no time to waste then!" Candice said.

"Ok first off. I've read your file I know what you are qualified for and what you are not. Let me begin by telling you that you are doing a great job and that your exemplary work is not going unnoticed!"

Candice typed away while she talked never looking up almost as if she were alone in the room. The MP was still rooted to the spot and had only moved to take Kat's 9mm from her. "Did you know that Banks was beaten as a child! That he was run through the foster system and if not for the army he'd probably be in prison! Most men won't work with him! Feel he's... A little to prone to violence! How dose that make you feel?" Candice asked while typing a mile a minute. Then with out waiting for an answer plugged on.

"Parks... did you know his sister was raped and he is suspected of killing the alleged rapist and the man's two brothers! You probably get off on being around killers though probably excites you!" Candice looked up but again didn't wait for Kat's reply. "Bama is rumored to have killed sixty Afgan civilians! Banks would of course know about it but protects him all the same. In fact according to one of the Marines you were just on a mission with all of you killed people that should have lived! Which begs the question as to whether you were a stone killer before or only after you joined up with them!" Candice stopped typing and lit a cigarette and leaned back in her office chair. "Four people have demanded transfers after only a few days with Banks and his merry band of killers. Yet from what I hear you are fitting in just fine? Tell me why you like it with them so much?" Now she just waited while blowing smoke at Kat. This seemed to be her game she was clearly looking to see how Kat reacted. Candice's long blond hair and pretty pale complexion was almost glowing in the light coming from the window to her side. It gave her an almost angelic look though Kat knew she was no angel!

KC

As Candace started telling her everything about her unit. Kat did not seem distressed about any of this knowledge, in fact she seemed bored. She barely was able to get a word in until she was asked why she liked this team so much. She shrugs. "I'm sure you know my last team tried to kill me me simply because I'm a woman. I still bear the bruises." She indicated her neck. "If my K9 hadn't broken through a door I am confident I would've been dead. So anything is a step up. But this team, they are family, they gave me a fair shot and when I proved myself they respected me. They dont do any of that dumb shit most units do to K9 handlers." She said Then continued on not letting Candace answer, giving her a taste of her own medicine.

"I was bounced foster homes, I was beat in a few of them. I probably would be in jail right now if not for the army. As for Parks and Bama, well if you can't prove it, it didnt happen." Loyalty ran deep in Kat. "If I minded being around killers, well I'd be in the wrong line of work, wouldn't I?" sarcasm flickered through her voice. "And no I never killed before I joined up. I didn't join up to kill. I joined up because I had no where else to go and I didn't want to end up in jail. Do I wish I was never in a position to kill? Of course. But do I regret it? No. Because I killed, I stayed alive, my dog stayed alive and my team stayed alive. I dont loose sleep over it, but if there's a good alternative to killing, I would happily take it in that moment." She said easily, as she lounged in the chair, seeming very relaxed about all this.

Candice eyed Kat with a mixture of admiration and pity. After Kat was done Candice seemed to like what she heard."Well I must say you are very different from the normal shit the division office in charge of handlers spits out. I pegged you for nothing more then another pretty face willing to sleep your way to the top." Though she worded it like a pathetic complement it was clearly a shot at the other K-9 handlers. "What's Banks like in bed? Or is it Bama? Maybe quiet little parks is who you've been fucking to gain respect of men who have not given it to anyone since the Delta made them a unit!" She said with a sneer. Her jab at parks was a little odd seeing he was the tallest of the group.

"You really think you have what it takes to swim in the deep end don't you?" She asked now with a hint of disgust. It was clear that every sentence was going to show a different emotion. "You who's only real gift is knowing how to handle big dumb animals! You who is exactly what is wrong with women in the military! Sleeping around pretending they have anything other then a piece of ass to offer up!" Candice spat. She stood up and walked around Kat almost challenging her to fight back. "You sicken me!"

****

Banks was now working out with Bama while Winger joined Parks inside the building. They stayed on opposet ends of the building. They knew if Candice broke Kat and she fought back with violence they wanted to be close to break it up before it got to for! "I am telling you LT Candice is the fucking devil!" Bama said as he spotted for Banks while he was squatting a bar full of weight.

"I know that, Doyle will be fine she can handle a few insults and a bit of hair pulling, she won't let that bitch fuck with her career. We warned her and that is all we could do! It's up to her now!" Banks said as he stood back up.

"You like her don't ya!"

"Fuck off! She's capable and she's proven to be an asset to the team so ya I like her! If you are asking when the wedding is? None of your god damn business!" Banks said stepping away from the weight. Though he knew his men could see through him and that he was now developing stronger feelings for the young cpl. Bama like the rest treated the team like family and knew Banks of all of them could use someone to love. Having been beaten and abused all his youth till he could fight back, never fully trusting anyone till the teams.

KC

Kat raised a brow, listening to Candace, unable to figure out quite what this woman's problem was. She smirked as she listened. "I made it through the toughest K9 school in history. Leaders of all four branches' special forces designed this school to test K9 handlers. I was the only woman. That is what gives me respect. I don't fuck around for respect." She wanted to ask Candace if that's what she did, but Kat wisely kept quiet about it. Finally though she raised a brow, "What, did you get rejected from a special ops team? You clearly have a problem with women in the military, particularly women in special forces, which is amusing considering you are a woman in the military." Kat said, the question was perfectly polite, no sarcasm, even though Kat really wanted to be sarcastic about it. When Candace rounded the desk, Kat knew she was looking for a fight. Kat stood up, she wouldn't be intimidated, But she made no move to fight back. Even she knew the dangers of striking a superior officer, and she wasn't gonna do that. Especially not with an MP around.

"Ma'am. I am not what's wrong with women in the military. I don't sleep around, never have, never will. I have my fun when I'm on leave. You may consider that female soldiers with a higher rank than Corporal may be sleeping around. But I'm not. My job is to keep highly trained soliders alive with the skills myself and my K9 know. Quite frankly, I'm surprised that a Lieutenant such as yourself, would try to inhibit something that saves the lives of soldiers. I would think an Lt would be happy to stop seeing soldiers come back in boxes, to have to call grieving families and explain that their loved one isn't ever coming back." She all by snarled. "Are we finished here Ma'am?" She asked stiffly.

When Kat stood and fired back her answers Candice smiled. It was hard to get what angle she was going for and it was clear to her that Kat was having none of it and wouldn't be pushed into a fight with a superior officer. Though her comment about Candice not making it on to the teams seemed to have affected her. Then she asked if they were done.

Candice butted out her smoke and had a seat again. "No not quite. You and the team will be investigated about he deaths of twenty two Afgan citizens. If found guilty you and the rest will be in more hot water then you can handle and from what I read about your charge Jasper. And his in ability to work with anyone else well I'll do everything in my power to see him put down. Hell I might offer to do it myself!" Candice looked deep into Kat's eyes to see if she got a rise in her. When Kat held her temper Candice dismissed her.

"You are clear to go! You and the team will be on a shorter leash then usual be sure not to fuck up out there I would hate to see ol' Jasper get a bullet for your mistake!" And with that she nodded to the MP to give back her side arm. Kat could see that Candice was counting on her losing it and giving her a reason to bust the team up.

When the door opened Parks was standing with on of the Dr talking about one medical thing or another. He looked up at Kat and nodded again but didn't stop talking to the Dr. Winger was just up the hall with Col Jamison they looked at her and both nodded, knowing she had handled her self just the way she needed to.

KC

Kat's eyes flared in temper when she mentioned having Jasper put down. But she didn't say a word, when she was finally dismissed she pivoted, taking her weapon from the MP, she shoved it into it's holster and stalked from the room. She stormed out of the building, heading straight back to their bunks, she didn't pay attention to anyone around her. Getting back she talked into her room, seeing Jasper did indeed destroy his crate. SHe undress and redressed in shorts and a sports bra, "Let's run." With her weapon still on her hip she left again, dog at heel off leash, All the fading bruises were on display, though now they were just an ugly yellow color as they healed.

Leaving the building she picked up a jog, needing to work off the head of temper she had. She didn't care where she went, she was only focused on running, and relaxing. Her dog jogged easily beside her. She knew short of mauling a soldier, nothing would get Jasper put down. She'd already made arrangements with her Kennel Master back at Lackland. He had oversight of all K9s and none could be euthanized without his say so. The Kennel Master would order Jasper returned to Lackland, if anything should happen to Kat or she be killed, her adopted brother would take ownership of Jasper, and he would be retired as a K9. That was Kat's demands, upon being trained as Jasper's handler, and the Kennel Master had eagerly agreed, as he knew the potential Jasper had.

After she walked out, Candice followed behind her a minute later. "You warned her didn't you?" She asked seeing Parks, her eyes blazed in rage. Parks smiled and feigned ignorance. "I will see you guys disbanded if it's the last thing I do!" She threatened, and walked past him.

Banks had been told that she was cut free and that Kat had held her temper. Banks smiled. 'good girl.' he thought to himself.

"Well Kat is makin enemies faster then you man!" Bama said with a smile. Banks nodded. They saw Candice climbing into a Black hawk helicopter about an hour later. Banks went straight to Jamison. After the door was closed he gave his commanding officer his opinion on the witch hunt that was going on. The Col nodded and agreed to do his best to keep Candice off their backs for then on.

"How she fair?" Banks asked.

"Better then anyone but you and Bama. Even Parks didn't hold his temper as well. You have a the real deal with you Banks." Jamison said looking over Kat's fit report from Candice. "Candice says she's cleared for any all jobs that may come for her. Highest praise Markensen will give!"

Banks nodded and then left when he was dismissed. He wanted to talk to Kat but knew as well as anyone that after Candice got through with you, a person needed time to cool off. He would talk to her at supper which was in an hour.

KC

Katherine jogged and worked out for 45 minutes, returning just in time to get cleaned up and showered before dinner. Her and Jasper headed over to the mess hall for dinner. She saw the rest of her team, and after getting her dinner she headed over. She looked refreshed and didn't look pissed, though there was still some tension in her shoulders. She never liked psych evals. She didn't like people prying into her mind, and learning private stuff. KAt was a very private person and didn't like sharing information about her self unless she felt comfortable with the person. Sitting down she tucked Jasper under her chair. "Hey," She greeted her team, as she took a drink of her water.

They all sat and waited for the fifth member to arrive before starting. When she sat and greeted them they all began. "So Parks tells us that you really pissed Markensen off. Said she vows to ruin us now! haha" Bama began. Winger had to laugh a little.

"Ya I would say to did your duty better then just about anyone in your place. Hell mine was a year ago and I had to serve a week in the brig cause I flipped the desk she was sitting behind!" Parks said offering her a basket of fresh bread rolls. He was in good with one of the female chefs and got favors from time to time. "Here these are fresher then the ones you were offered up there!" Parks said to her.

"I was given a month shit duty when I took a run at her. The MP knocked me to the side in time and she ran from the room screaming. Dumb bitch! But not you. Hell I guess she either took it easy on you or you really do have a handle on your temper!" Winger added. "Only Banks and Bama got out unscathed. Banks here well his heart rate didn't even rise. He was you see strapped to a monitor when she did him. Bama just came on to her the whole time, I doubt he heard one thing she said. haha" Winger said finishing filling her in on their own dealings with her. This was one to show she wasn't signaled out and two to show her that they knew what she had been through and knew they could be hell.

"You did great Doyle. Jamison is happy and we are all proud of you. I can only imagine you now know a little more about us! That always seemed to be her bag. Attack the person, attack the team! Anything you want to discuss with us about what you heard now's the time!" Banks added taking another roll for himself.

"She went after Ol' Jazz didn't she?" Bama asked. I know that would be how I would try and crack yer tone! filthy bitch probably threatened to have him killed! She's just tha' heartless."

"No worries it's over but ya what ever you might need to ask this is the time while it's fresh on your mind!" Parks said.

Kat saw her team looking at her, this permission to ask about personal things she knew was not given lightly if at all it was a sign of how she was being fully accepted as a member of the team. She had a choice to make now.

KC

Kat shrugged "I don't need to know anything. She had no right to tell me about you guys. None of it bothered me, so I'm good." She said easily as she took a roll from Parks. "Yeah she threatened to have Jasper killed. She also accused me of sleeping with most of you." She smirked as she ate. "Still believes I have to be sleeping with at least one of you. In order to have your respect and still be apart of the team. And you all are murderers and I enjoy being around killers." She smirked again as she continued eating.

"She wants to have us disbanded. She made that very clear. Did she get rejected from a team? She seemed supremely pissed that I was still apart of this team." She asked curiously sipping at her water as she observed her unit.

The men accepted her reasons for not pursuing any more info on them. "Well funny she should think that. She should know that Sleeping with a team is the last thing that'll get you respect. might get you popular but not respect." Winger said.

When she brought up the disbanding of the team they all looked at her. "Well I see it's time for us to be truthful with you. We were on a mission 16 months ago, can't say where. but it was a protection detail. Candice Markensen was just a Sgt with intel back then. She and her at the time husband were part of a larger fact finding group from the CIA, Can't tell you who else was there. Now the shit hit the fan all of us and two others that were part of the team were assigned to protect certain members, sort of like body guards. Parks was assigned Candice. when the bottom fell out and the bullets started flying, Craig Markensen was to be protected by some Marine. Parks did his duty, protected Candice, Craig didn't make it and now she blames us! Felt Parks, or Bama, or one of our team should have watched out for him." Banks told her.

Bama then added. "And now we have an enimy for life who is in charge of doing all fit eval's on the operators that are over fucking seas! And you my friend are part of it now! And also funny that she should accuse us of being killers, the night we saved her ass she wanted us to kill everything in our pat..." Bama started before Banks cut across him.

"That's enough. She was scared and had just seen her husband killed! I hate her for how she conducts her job, but I don't blame her for how she acted that night! And we are killers! The best the fucking Army has ever fucking trained!" Banks said raising his cup of water. "Katherine Doyle you are now officially a member of the deadliest most highly trained group of Army wing nuts ever to draw a weapon!" Then the other three all held up their cups and welcomed her. It seemed that getting by Candice was like a final test and she was now in wholly and completely.

KC

Kat listened to th3 story intently and while she felt sympathy for what the woman had gone through, it didnt change how she felt about the woman, or the hatred Kat felt. She grinned though when Banks raised his glass, officially welcoming her to the unit. Raising her own glass she said. "I've never felt more at home with a unit, I'm happy to be here." She was happy to have finally found a place to call home within the Army. She planned to make a career out of the Army and how with a unit she trusted, she felt it might actually be possible. She set her glass down, feeling a ache in her side. "Hell" She muttered. Pain killers had been good enough she didnt even think about her side when she went for a run. Now she was paying the price. She figured she probably tore her stitches out. "So anyone up for a game of poker tonight?" She asked curiously. She still had medical leave for 2 days so she prayed that they wouldn't get a call out since she wasn't allowed to go with.

Kat finished her food and sat back, seeing some blood on her tank top, yeah she'd torn her stitches, but she didn't care much, her pain killers were still working strong so it didnt bother her none. Grabbing a little leftover piece of meat from her plate she fed it to her dog who laid patiently under the table.

When she offered the game to the boys all but Parks accepted. "Mind if I invited Billings from the motor pool he likes cards and can be an easy mark!" Winger asked. Banks and Bama didn't mind but seeing that it was Kat who offered up the game they let her call it!

When she stood Parks saw the blood. "Doyle with me to medical. I want to get the Dr to fix up the stitches! should only take but a few minutes." Banks and Bama looked over too.

"With Parks Doyle!" Banks said as they all got up. "See you at the bunk house in a bit. No worries 'bout Jazz the Dr will fix you up with him in the room!" Banks added. Bama and Winger left first then Banks walked out. Parks waited for Kat and walked with her to medical. On the way they ran into Col Jamison who after being saluted stopped Kat. "Your fit eval Cpl. Good job by the way, I know Banks is proud of you. Which is saying something cause he isn't an easy man to please! Well anyway you are now here to stay for the remainder of your tour, or till you or Banks ask for a transfer." Jamison said handing Kat a thin folder with Kat's name and military id number on it.

There was a date and then in clean neat writing Kat saw the words. Fit for active duty with the 1st Army Delta Unit under the command of General Yates and the field command of Lt Tyson K. Banks.

"Katherine Doyle has shown great mental awareness and fortitude to be able to think clearly in a stressful environment. She shows no signs of failing to do her duty no matter the situation. Signed Lt Candice G. Markensen. Army Intel Fort Brag."

Parks not wanting her to wait any longer with a bleeding wound ushered Kat along to the med building.

KC

KAt nodded, "Invite who ever you want." She said, then eyed Parks, "Yes, Mom." She teased, but obediently went with him, Jasper trotting along at her side. Seeing Col. Jamesion, she saluted, and listened to him. "Thank you Sir." She took the folder, reading through it briefly, apparently Candace liked her more than she let on. She let Parks usher her forward and into the medical building. Once in the room, she ordered Jasper into a down-stay in the corner and stripped off her shirt, leaving her in a black sports bra. Eyeing Parks she asked, "So what you are doing tonight that you don't want to play poker?" She asked curiously, not minding in the least that he didn't want to play poker, but on an Army Base in the desert, there was limited things that passed as entertainment, and she was curious what the medic was going to be doing this evening, instead of hanging out with the unit.

Soon enough the doctor came in, and briskly went about removing the torn stitches and replacing them. All in all, it took less than a half hour. "Try to leave these ones in okay? You only have a few more days until they will be removed then you'll be allowed back in the field. You keep tearing them, it's gonna take ten times longer for you to be back in the field." The doc threatened. "Yes Ma'am." she mock saluted, but did take her advice seriously. Shrugging her bloody shirt back on, she gave jasper the hand signal to heel as she stood up.

Parks eyes her with a bit of caution. "I thought you would know why, after Candice! If I may ask you Doyle! What did Markensen tell you about me. She always airs dirty laundry about other team members. For example I learned that a fella named Kolten who died about half year ago. Well I learned during my fit eval before I cracked that Kolten was a recovering coke head! Or that Banks killed one of his foster fathers when he found out that he was molesting a young woman who lived at the house with them. But I am sure Candice mentioned that to you!"

Parks said making small talk as they waited. He stopped the conversation while the Dr worked, continuing while they walked back to the bunk!

KC

Kat tilted her head, "no, she didnt mention that about Banks." She said softly, though it didnt surprise her none. She eyed Parks, "She said your sister was raped and supposedly you killed the man responsible." She said quietly. "If I could give you a medal for that I would. As it is, I can say that does not bother me on the least. In fact it tells me you take care of yours and you bend or break the rules when you have to." She walked with him back to their barracks. She disappeared into her room She changed into a pair of shorts and a tank top. Letting her hair out of its ponytail she returned to the main room where the rest of the unit was. "Clean bill of health, still got a few days of medical leave." She said, sitting down.

Parks gave a grunt when she mentioned his sister. "Ya well that bitch... Oh well ya my sister was... Well you know and I really don't like to talk about it! Thanks though, it's nothing personal against you. I just don't talk about it!" When they got back and she changed. Kat saw that the boys had set up the card table and money and chips were out as was a large cooler of beer and snacks all the usual furniture was moved into the bedrooms giving the players lots of room to move around in. The large room was comfortable, one of the perks of having one of the largest living quarters on the base only Jamison had a larger place but he was the CO.

Banks and Winger were smoking big gangster looking cigars. Kat saw that along with Matt billings who was a good looking private. There were also two others. Winger introduced them as Cpl Steve Conners and Cpl Melissa Murtaugh. Both were drivers. Mel was also smoking a large cigar and dressed identical to Kat she was short, blond and very butchie looking. Steve was simple. that was the only way to describe him. All the men were in shorts, though Bama and Banks were with out Tee's and Kat could see Melissa eyeing them up.

Winger made all the introductions and it was soon clear why they were there. They had money to burn. Parks grabbed a beer and excused himself. Banks and the other razed him as he walked out. "Other then your health everything go ok? Bama asked in a low tone. As the only seat left was between him and Banks. The others were loud and friendly and really paying Bama no notice. "Parks looks a little out of sorts! Parks don't gamble but there seems more to it tonight!" Bama said handing her a beer. Kat also noticed that even here in the game room all the boys had their M-4's close by.

"Don't worry about it! He's fine. Doyle you get your fit report back. Jamison says you rocked it! Good job though I had little doubt!" Banks said with a smile. "Stogie?" He offer her as well.
