But doesn't belong here...
I suspect (given I've left a few comments along those lines myself) that they mean it is too good to be on Literotica: it should be in bookshops.

I like it for how it draws out and communicates the absolute terror of the process for Georgie. I'm a bit miffed that the story ends right before the consequences can be felt; it's like watching Henry V but ending at the eve of battle. Bexx's life may have been completely derailed as a result of Georgie's actions. It's not clear if Bexx is a 40 year old clerk at a consignment shop still grasping for her lost youth or if the outing allowed her to transform into a brilliant alt-bird. Also, I think all the other reasons why Georgie made the decision at the time are actually more important to explain before trying to add in the dagger-twist of 'because I loved you' - here, the Truth is a weapon and I don't think the sponsor would recommend that as part of the process.

Thrilled that a reader engaged so much with the story, given how slight and flawed it is. The criticism is all entirely fair.

Fido is awesome. What a wonderfully creative concept, and you absolutely nailed it. I laugh just thinking about it.
Thank you for the awesome feedback. I absolutely love that story and have started a pt 2 that is moldering. Of all the stories I've written, that one is the only one where I'd wake up hysterically giggling at 3-4am. Laughing so hard at the scenes running through my dreams prior to writing them. The bone scene alone occupied my dreams for days, waking me up over and over.
Once it got written, I was afraid to publish it, wondering if people would think I was nuts. But after asking some beta readers, they said publish, so I took the plunge. I'm glad I did.
Again, thank you for your nice comment.

That may be. I suspect though, that it’s more along the lines of “Great story, but where’s the cum shot?”

Got a chain of very nice comments on my latest submission (https://www.literotica.com/s/the-gifts-of-the-witch-ch-01)

"The prose, world-building, and characterization on display here are peak. Truly wonderful. Thank you for sharing it with us!"

"You should be a science fiction book writer. I have truly enjoyed your well written, suspenseful, story that keeps you ready. One of the best stories that I have read on this site. Thanks"

"Fantastic! Your style conjures such vivid pictures, can’t wait for the next part!"

"This was a very interesting saga. I hope I can hold out till the next installment is released. I give the story and your writing style 25 hard stars…. 🤤"

While I definitely like writing smut, it's also great that the effort of world-building and character-building is also appreciated.

I loved this story :)
Thank you! And I'd be remiss if I didn't share your comment:
Very nice! I couldn't read your description of Vernon without thinking of Richard Griffiths playing Vernon Dursley in the Harry Potter movies, since the boorish character matched so well. It was lovely how you portrayed a range of characters, arseholes included, but with enough decent people to stand up for Ginny (cough... another Harry Potter reference?) as she finds her way to a better place. Five stars from me. By the way, neighbourhood get togethers should always include children IMHO :)
And I admit: Vernon is named for Vernon Dursley. Ginny was unrelated, although I did realise the HP connection. Nice catch. :)

That's a trick I've used before. Naming your unlikable character the same name as a another fictional villain. It's a great way to transfer the dislike of one to the another. You'd never go so far as to call him Voldemort, but Vernon works well. Good one.

Favorite recent comment, from Housemates Ch. 03:
The best chapter yet in this rollicking romantic drama. We have here wonderful characters, and their interactions as the plot unfolds really holds the attention of the reader from start to finish. Five stars.
Maybe if I had known that this story of college students getting it on with each other in twos, threes, fours, and sixes would be called a "rollicking romantic drama", it would have turned out a bit differently!

From @DukeofPaducah on What are the Odds, My 2024 Halloween submission.

Thanks...

Thourghly enjoyed it. Very well constructed.
Sentence structure was smooth and rhythmic, melodic at times. A pleasure to read.

I’ve never had the urge to smoke a White Owl or putt from the rough, but from this account,
I can see how it might happen.

I like stories with psychological components. This was a fastball at the numbers.
The twist of dad’s predilection was both unexpected and welcome.
Sexy time was vivid and smokin’. The promiscuity was not to my liking, but this is Literotica fiction, after all, so ‘tits away.’

In the carnival atmosphere of the holiday, this tale rang the gong on the ‘Test Your Strength’ totem.
5 of 5 from me.

@LovesDancing on A Quiet Woman:
The portrayal of Ginny and Vernon was a little extreme, but I still very much liked the story.
I'm not sure what was so extreme about Ginny and/or Vernon. He's a boor, she's a woman who realises she doesn't need him, and she's tired of him pushing her around. If anything, I thought the characters and the situation was downplayed a bit.

Still, it's lovely to hear that a reader enjoyed the story even with its imperfections. Thank you!

Got a beautiful comment from @theMasterBaiter on 'A Twist In The Plot - the Sequel'.

"A perfect story that deals with a horrific problem in the best possible way. The "I shouldn't have to" made me cry. And the joy of their play and sex play gave me hope for a world with far to little joy. Literally the best thing I've ever read here. Thank you."

That's the second commenter who's mentioned being moved to tears with this one. Couldn't be happier with that as a lit. author.
