It wasn't in a comment per se, but somebody told me once that they were drawn into one of my stories, couldn't stop reading it, and that it gave them nightmares. It was intended as a compliment, I believe because apparently I had kept them engaged enough. That was touching.

I've written deeply unsettling horror from time to time. I'm simultaneously, "I'm so sorry, but at least your therapist has job security" and "Hey, that means I wrote it well!" So...

@896972 left a comment on my story “I’d Go Gay For You” with the full lyrics of Friends’ theme song “I’ll be there for you” subverted to fit the story. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. High art.
