Comments That Make Your Day

Here's a nice comment about Homeless: :)

A Christmas heart tugger that I found over the summer, but made the stupid mistake of not book marking it. I found it again by accident and I’m keeping it. You did a hell of a job on this and a ‘go to’ story when I need a pick me up. Thank you.

A couple of comments. One nice and one backhanded slap: :giggle:

Following Laura's Footsteps:
Thank you for making my day happier.
On Transplant: I can't imagine why someone is on a sex site and upset over including sex. But I do have to admit I went a little overboard on the sex scene.
It was a wonderfully written story until you went off the rails with the sex. It ruined what was at the time a great story. What a shame.

Too many words for too little story turned me into a professional skimmer here. Compressing as much story as possible in as few words as possible is an endless challenge for me.
Heh. I have the opposite problem... being too brief. Writing stories for the 750 word challenge has been easy for me :)

You're right... some stories are waaay too wordy. And clinically detailed in mechanics of the sex scenes while ignoring the emotion, as though they're writing Described Video of some porn flick.

Most readers here seem to want longer stories, but I aim to keep stories under 10K, sometimes at the expense of description or story. A habit I'm trying to break. As others here have said, a story should be as long as it needs to be (but no longer).

Seven comments in one day for a brand-new story!

Due to the length of the story, I wasn't expecting anything for a couple of days. These are a pleasant surprise to start the new year, so yeah, they made my day.

"ROFL" and "LMFAO," two separate comments that made me happy for the story I published in Humor and Satire yesterday.

A hot feedback from a reader;

Your stories are intense and arousing. I'm early 40s married mom and want to explore...and take my life in ways you explain. I want a boi like you to play with my husband and me.

I have a series about a man and woman, she agrees to fuck him if he quits smoking for three months (smaller rewards after 1 and 2 months) but she posts an ad for a guy so he can suck cock rather than smoke. The guys get together.

14 chapter series in GM, but then I tried editing out the gay content to produce the story just of him and her (only 30k not 130k words!)

Someone's just read both series back to back:
Wow, this was fantastic. Personally, I’ve always cared much more about characters than the sex itself in my fiction of this nature. And this delivers on that perfectly. Thank you very much for taking me on this journey.
And This was good! I preferred Smoking Hot, there were a few errors (like a line in one paragraph which I believe was from Dan’s perspective) and I think the context very much improves it, but still a good read. Cheers!

It's the first time anyone's noticed any of my mistakes! Delighted!

love to play with a hubby and wife. The wetter,, the better. Is hubby a watcher or does he like it also?

My story "JUST ONCE... DAMAGING CHOICES" is a sequel of another story done by an author almost two years ago inviting others to write their own ending. My story description is: "A pick your ending sequel to “JUST ONCE… IF YOU DON’T MIND?”"

The genius anonymous commenter posted: "When is this story ever going to end? Do we really need to continue reading different variations of such an old story? Stop beating a dead horse and write something new. Otherwise an hack can do this."

Now ... My answer to the troll would be "No. You didn't really need to read it!"

I generally appreciate all my comments, which are almost always really nice, but this was a first for me:

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The almost-romantic approach to the casual meeting and exploration of anal sex was arousing and inspiring. While I don't have your skill as a wordsmith, I used this story as an inspiration for an upcoming story.

I inspired someone to write something! How amazing is that! (Their story is now published)

Another comment on that same story:

Despite the fact this story has hot sex central to it’s core and both participants have their own issues, there’s a lovely innocence about the way it develops that’s really endearing. Generally speaking I always want more of something I’ve thoroughly enjoyed, but this story would spoil if you added to it; as the saying goes, it small, but perfectly formed. Easy 5⭐️ Btw, many thanks for writing and posting, cheers Ppfzz.

Even my anal sex is innocent, endearing and romantic 😂 I guess I’m incurable.

I think my timing was good for this story. Call me vain, but these really do make my day.

Excellent new Year story. Five stars just isn't enough. Thank you for it.

Read at the start of the new year. This story of hope and love was just the right positive experience to enjoy,

Exciting and very well written. I look forward to reading more of your stories. Happy New Year

Got my first rush of trolls complaining about my story's explicitly marked content. It made my day because now I'm definitely a Lit author, lol!

But it was only made worth it thanks to the positive comments mingled in, so thank you to those people. :)

Not really about any specific comment, but more of an observation:

My earliest series, The Jenna Arrangement, received a ton of comments about how readers wanted the story NOT to turn into a relationship story, despite the obvious hints and plot points I was setting up, steering it in that direction.

My newest story, which may become a series, has now received several comments on how they hope my two leads will become a couple despite my clearly setting up the idea that she especially is NOT interested in any romantic entanglements.

Don't get me wrong; I love my readers and enjoy their feedback, and they're more than welcome to voice their desires on where they wish my stories might go. It just means they're invested in the characters and that is, of course, the greatest compliment.

I just find some humor in it as well.

I received two very positive emails from readers recently. For my new story A Dark Awaking, an interracial cuckold story, I received these comments.

As a poorly endowed husband I enjoyed imagining us in your latest story. I know it is all fiction, but you write the experience well. I aways think it adds to the story when we learn that the wife is experiencing a lover that is bigger than what she is used to. Thanks for sharing and hope you write some more.

and

Your Dark Awakening Story Was Good Comments: I just wanted to let you know that you might catch hell from a lot of haters of this genre. As one author to another, ignore them. My thought is that they are self-loathing who feel shame after having jacked off to cuckold stories. Well written, nicely paced. Very good work.
They both made my weekend more pleasant. The voting is terrible, the comments worse. Some were personal attacks, including this anonymous email attack about me needing to be committed or killed, not sure which.

You are seriously fucked up. You need to seek help. Your "imagination" is fucked up be careful what you wish for.

I've come to totally understand that the longer a series continues here, the smaller it's audience becomes, because new readers generally won't be interested in clicking on part 10 or 20 when you post it, and probably won't go back to part 1.

So when I get a comment like this on Chapter 9 of my series The Jenna Arrangement, it makes my day, because I know I've picked up at least one more loyal reader who's enjoying reading the series as much as I am writing it:

"by Anonymous user on 54 minutes ago
I am absolutely loving this series. I don’t generally like the very long series but this is SO good I can’t wait to start reading the next chapter."

To add on to my previous reply; these aren't comments, but is there anything else better to make a writer's day than seeing someone binge reading their stories?

This zany anon's comment on how original my story 'Life is Like Shit - Not Chocolate' impressed him/her. Rated now at 4.7 on the Lit scale. It is a humous story about a guy whose ex-wife puts the screws to him. A samurai heroine comes to his rescue after he unknowingly rescues her from FBI agents who just happen to be guarding a really bad guy she was sent to bring to 'justice.' There's plenty of sex - just none for the FBI agents.

"Wow.... I mean wow. I actually read a story on Literotica that was it's own original thing, and not a brother being trapped in a cabin, with his twin lesbian sisters and their lesbian girlfriends (also twins), thar he discovers that while they really are all hard core lesbians, somehow his magic dick, and his alone, is fascinating and a turn on for lesbians, thing. There was not any naked sex ed teachers, with knockers the size of bowling balls, or mind controlled futas being forced into servitude for an utter bastard, with the body of a young Schwarzenegger and a prick thick enough and hard enough to drive railroad spikes. Where was the nudist campground extended family, inter-generational, 18+, orgy? What did I just read? Quick someone, get me a story with a 51 year old MILF with the perky ass and tits of a teenager, luring in the 19 old Tarzanesque house painter, with her daisy dukes and her tiny, tight, sheer tank tops. Boobies......"

Happy with my numbers except one guy gave it a 1 because, the guy said I didn't warn him it wasn't a complete story...actually it was a complete story but I expect to add to it.
Like most stories here, they don't have a final ending! They catch a bad guy or the characters don't marry and ride off into the sunset.
Screwed up my numbers big time.

Four from No Place to Go that really explain why I love writing LW stories:

A very well-written and thoughtful story. Unfortunately I hated it. No reflection on your skill as a writer.

This is fucking stupid, I hate this site

Not fair. I come here for the sex and end up with the sad.

Every one of your stories that I have read leads to further introspection of myself. Not very many writers I have read over my 73 years can make me do that. You are, in my opinion, one of the very best writers on this website and I want to thank you for sharing your ability and making my day. I look forward to your next posting.

I love all four for very different reasons. Never change, LW commenters.

I have to agree with the last comment. You are one of the best writers here. That story was exactly what I like to see in LW. Unique and different . A worthy 10* for it.

That is really kind. Thank you so much! I just like to write stories about flawed people; I have scenarios, but I like character driven stories, rather than "Bob was a stalwart husband and Linda was a cheating slut, and Steve was a mustache twirling boss that made her that way!" Not to diss anyone who writes those kinds of stories; they're fun, too. I had a really straightforward, short BTB that got rejected because apparently the MC selling their wife to the cartel to use as a prostitute is A-okay, but having a dog rip a guys throat out is a no no. But, hey, the mods are giving us a site we can post to, so I can't complain too much.

Are you kidding me with your 300 comments (soon, soon) in three freaking days?
That story was custom crafted to create the most comments I could. Well, not really, but I knew it would get a lot if it got any at all. A protagonist who can't strike back, a lawyer that seemed like a dick but was kind, a cheater redeemed, a wife who is ambiguously either weak or evil, more knife twisting than a squad of OSS agents, and a possible but averted cuckolding. Oh, and, of course, the specter of woke-ism for mentioning that maybe it was kinda sorta sexist that the MC was more worried if his son was biologically his than his daughter. Bonus points for the guy who took away the message that stoicism is good, when it was the first cause for why the MC's life was so fucked up.
